Suicune V is a card with one Japanese card text and many faces. In the official Japanese card database there are five Suicune V entries across three sets, and four of them carry the same illustrator credit: Ayaka Yoshida. This guide follows スイクンV through S7D 001/067, S7D 068/067, SI 092/414 and S12a 024/172, shows how the fifth entry (S12a 215/172, by Atsushi Furusawa) differs, and states which Suicune cards we list as of October 29, 2026.
The useful thing to know is that these four prints are the same game card with the same HP, ability and attack. A collector chooses between them on artwork, set and number, so reading the number correctly matters more than anything else. The sections below set out each print, then the comparison.
- Ayaka Yoshida is credited on four Suicune V prints: S7D 001/067, S7D 068/067, SI 092/414 and S12a 024/172. All four are HP 210 with identical card text.
- The fifth Suicune V, S12a 215/172, is credited to Atsushi Furusawa; our listing for it is the PSA 10 back order at ¥18,620 (~$121) — sourced to order; the product page shows the current terms.
- None of the four Ayaka Yoshida prints is listed in our store.
Ayaka Yoshida in the Official Database
The official Japanese card database credits Ayaka Yoshida on five Suicune entries in total. Four are Suicune V cards. The fifth is an older Suicune with a different card format, LP 063/L-P (HP 90), which the database credits under the same name. This guide concentrates on the four V prints, because they are the ones collectors search for.
The older card is worth a sentence, because it shows how far the same name travels. LP 063/L-P is a Basic Suicune with HP 90 and a Poké-Body, しんそく (rendering: “Swiftness”), that lowers its retreat cost by the number of Energy attached, plus an attack, つなみ (rendering: “Tsunami”), that deals 20 damage to every Pokemon on the opponent’s side. Its sister card LP 060/L-P is credited to Hideaki Hakozaki. Nothing in our sources links the LP card to the V prints beyond the shared name, so treat it as context rather than as a fifth Suicune V.
Here is the full Suicune V picture. The database lists five entries, in three sets, and the illustrator credit is the only thing that splits them into two groups.
| 卡牌 | 系列 | Illustrator |
|---|---|---|
| スイクンV 001/067 | S7D | Ayaka Yoshida |
| スイクンV 068/067 | S7D | Ayaka Yoshida |
| スイクンV 092/414 | SI (Start Deck 100) | Ayaka Yoshida |
| スイクンV 024/172 | S12a (VSTAR Universe) | Ayaka Yoshida |
| スイクンV 215/172 | S12a (VSTAR Universe) | Atsushi Furusawa |
Comparing the three beasts is telling. In the S12a set the Entei V (019/172) and Raikou V (038/172) are both credited to PLANETA Mochizuki, so the Suicune V is the one card of the three regular Vs with a different artist. The same split holds in SI, where Entei V 056/414 and Raikou V 137/414 are Mochizuki’s and Suicune V 092/414 is Yoshida’s.
The Four Prints Side by Side
The table gives the facts the database holds for each Yoshida print. Rarity letters are not printed in the database, so none are given here unless our own sources state one.
| Card ID | HP | What else our sources say | |
|---|---|---|---|
| S7D 001/067 | 39670 | 210 | Double Rare, per our Suicune guide |
| S7D 068/067 | 39925 | 210 | Number above the set count, which marks a secret-numbered print; exact rarity not in the database |
| SI 092/414 | 40362 | 210 | Printed in the Start Deck 100 product |
| S12a 024/172 | 42285 | 210 | Double Rare, per our Suicune guide |

Notice how few differences exist outside the artwork and the number. Every row shows HP 210, and none of the sets changes what the card does. That is why this guide spends most of its length on identification rather than on game text.
One Card Text, Four Prints
All four Yoshida prints carry the same text. The card is a Basic Pokemon V with HP 210. Its ability, しゅんそく (rendering: “Quick Dash”), can be used once during your turn if the Pokemon is in the Active Spot, and lets you draw one card from your deck. Its attack, ブリザードロンド20+ (rendering: “Blizzard Rondo”), adds 20 damage for each Benched Pokemon on both sides. As a Pokemon V it gives the opponent two Prize cards when it is Knocked Out.
The same wording repeats on the sister cards. The Entei V and Raikou V in S12a and SI use the identical ability and a matching attack with a different name, so the three beasts form a set of near-identical Vs differentiated by type, HP and art: Entei V is HP 230, Raikou V is HP 200 and Suicune V is HP 210.
This guide does not rank the card for play. How it fits a deck is a separate question, and a printed-text comparison like this one does not answer it.
S7D 001/067 and 068/067
S7D is the set covered in our Skyscraping Perfection S7D card list. Suicune V appears there twice, both times credited to Ayaka Yoshida: 001/067, the first number in the set, and 068/067, which sits one above the printed count of 67.
The two numbers tell you more than the artwork does. A number larger than the set count, here 068 against 067, is how a Japanese set shows a secret-numbered print. The database does not print a rarity letter for 068/067, so this guide calls it the secret-numbered print and leaves the label to the product page of whichever copy you buy.

Take care not to mix the two S7D slabs up. They share a name, an illustrator, a set code and the same denominator, and the full number is what separates them: 068 exceeds the printed count of 067 by one.
SI 092/414 in Start Deck 100
The SI code belongs to the Start Deck 100 product, whose cards are numbered out of 414. Our own listings label this product “Sword & Shield ‘Start Deck 100’”. The Suicune V in it is 092/414, again credited to Ayaka Yoshida.
It is easy to blur this product with its successor. The later MEGA Start Deck 100 Battle Collection is numbered out of 742 and carries the code MC; its Suicune is a regular card, MC 174/742, credited to Kuroimori, not a V. Our Start Deck 100 Battle Collection guide covers that later product. If a label reads 092/414 you are looking at the SI print; if it reads 174/742 you are looking at a different card altogether.

For a closer look at this print on its own, our Suicune V SI 092/414 guide goes through the starter product.
The box above is not a Suicune V product. It is the sealed box we list whose set holds a Suicune print in the official database: S4a 033/190 (so-taro) and the secret-numbered 221/190 (Kagemaru Himeno).
S12a 024/172 Against the 215/172 Print
S12a is VSTAR Universe, and our S12a card list is the set page for it. The Suicune V in the main run is 024/172, credited to Ayaka Yoshida. The secret-numbered Suicune V is 215/172, credited to Atsushi Furusawa. Both have HP 210 and the same text.
| Number | Illustrator | Position in the set |
|---|---|---|
| 024/172 | Ayaka Yoshida | Inside the printed count |
| 215/172 | Atsushi Furusawa | Above the printed count of 172 |

This is the print behind our S12a Suicune listing. The listing is named “PSA10 Suicune V SAR[s12a 215/172]”, so the letters SAR come from our listing name, not from the database. It is offered as a PSA 10 back order at ¥18,620 (~$121) — sourced to order; the product page shows the current terms. It is the Furusawa print, not a Yoshida print. For the artist behind it, see our Atsushi Furusawa artist guide, and for the English-set comparison read Suicune V GG38 versus the Japanese 215/172.
The Three Beast Vs and Their Artists
Because the Suicune V prints are tied to one artist, it helps to set them next to the other two beasts. The table uses only the official database credits and HP values.
| Beast | HP | S12a main run | S12a secret-numbered | SI (Start Deck 100) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Entei V | 230 | 019/172, PLANETA Mochizuki | 213/172, Shigenori Negishi | 056/414, PLANETA Mochizuki |
| Raikou V | 200 | 038/172, PLANETA Mochizuki | 218/172, nagimiso | 137/414, PLANETA Mochizuki |
| Suicune V | 210 | 024/172, Ayaka Yoshida | 215/172, Atsushi Furusawa | 092/414, Ayaka Yoshida |
The pattern is easy to read. Mochizuki illustrated the main-run Entei V and Raikou V in both sets, while Yoshida illustrated the Suicune V in both. The secret-numbered column has a different artist for each beast. Suicune V is the only one of the three with a further print outside S12a and SI: S7D, where both cards are Yoshida’s. That is why a search for a Yoshida Suicune V leads to four cards, while the Entei V and Raikou V searches lead to cards by Mochizuki.
Our guides to the other two beasts cover their prints in the same way: the Entei V PSA 10 guide and the Raikou V PSA 10 guide.
How to Tell Which Suicune V You Hold
A Suicune V is placed by its number over the denominator and by its illustrator credit. Use the table below with the card in hand or the slab label in front of you.
| What the card shows | Print it points to |
|---|---|
| 001/067 | S7D, credited to Ayaka Yoshida |
| 068/067 | S7D, secret-numbered, credited to Ayaka Yoshida |
| 092/414 | SI, the Start Deck 100 print, credited to Ayaka Yoshida |
| 024/172 | S12a, credited to Ayaka Yoshida |
| 215/172 | S12a, secret-numbered, credited to Atsushi Furusawa |
| 174/742 or 031/175 | Not a V: regular Suicune cards by Kuroimori (MC and SVM) |
If a label reads only “Suicune V” and a set code, the number is what settles it. Two prints in different sets can share the artist and the text, so a missing number leaves the card unidentified.

Why Suicune Is in the News
On October 29, 2026 premium.gamepedia.jp and PokeGuardian reported a Japanese trademark filing for 「オーロラの波紋」, which collectors read as a possible Suicune set; nothing is announced. Our Aurora Ripples trademark guide (working English translation of オーロラの波紋; no official English name exists) explains what is confirmed and what is not, and the ex★ 2027 round-up places it next to the other reported marks.
