What the Official English Pages Print

The pokemon.com set page gives a release date of March 31, 2023 and “Over 190 cards”. Its bullets read “More than 10 brand-new Pokémon ex; a take on a returning game mechanic”, “The introduction of Tera Pokémon ex with a cool crystalline appearance”, “More than 30 Trainer cards” and “Dozens of Pokémon and Trainer cards with special illustrations”. The printed numbering on the official card database runs to 198/198 for the last main-set card, with Tarountula printed as 199/198, the first card outside the main set.

The tcg.pokemon.com expansion page lists the products below. The Elite Trainer Box has a contents list on the official product-gallery page; the Pokémon Center ETB contents are not printed on a product-gallery page.

The expansion page also carries a spotlight on Jiro Sasumo’s “Growing Up with Gardevoir” illustration series. Gardevoir ex is one of the ten Special Illustration Rares covered below, and its Japanese print is credited to the same artist.

How the English Set Maps to the Japanese Boxes

No official source states that the English Scarlet & Violet set equals either Japanese box. At set level, Bulbapedia’s list of Japanese expansions (as of September 15, 2026) gives “Scarlet & Violet” as the closest English equivalent of both SV1S and SV1V. At card level, Limitless TCG lists the Japanese prints on each English card page, and the matches below keep only prints in SV1S or SV1V with the corresponding rarity and the same illustrator.

Limitless calls the English Special Illustration Rare a “Special Art Rare”; the pokemon.com card page for SVI 245 Gardevoir ex says “Special Illustration Rare”, and the pokemon-card.com icon on the Japanese prints is SAR. Limitless lists the English Ultra Rare cards against Japanese Secret Rare (SR) prints and the English gold Secret Rare cards against Japanese Ultra Rare (UR) prints. The English set has these rarity counts (Limitless labels):

The four rare tiers at the bottom of that table are the ones Limitless matched to Japan: 60 English cards, 60 matches, 0 illustrator mismatches. The split between the two boxes is exactly even.

The Professor’s Research pair shows how careful the matching has to be. English 240 (Professor Sada) and 241 (Professor Turo) share the name Professor’s Research on Limitless. They match SV1S 099/078 and SV1V 098/078, both by kirisAki, and pokemon-card.com shows an SR icon on both.

Illustration Rares, Ultra Rares and Gold Cards

Below the ten SIRs, the English set carries 24 Illustration Rares, 20 Ultra Rares and 6 gold cards. Here is a selection of the matched cards that we list as PSA 10 back orders. English rarity is the Limitless label; Japanese rarity is the Limitless label for the SV1S or SV1V print.

Two of these have their own guides: the Drowzee AR card guide covers the Violet ex Drowzee Illustration Rare, and the Katy SR 097/078 card guide covers Katy. The Nest Ball is the gold Secret Rare that Limitless matches to SV1S 107/078, an Ultra Rare (UR) print in the Limitless list.

Our two boxes are variable products, so each price is tied to a named option. The SNKRDUNK figure is the lowest asking price on the marketplace’s main box listing for the same set, dated September 30, 2026. Asking prices are not sales, and the two columns describe different listings.

The Damaged Box listings are separate products from the boxes above: the SV1S Damaged Box is currently listed at ¥12,465 (~$81) and the SV1V Damaged Box at ¥9,541 (~$62).

The official English pages print no Booster Box price.
