Among the nine Japanese prints covered here, the Black Bolt Art Rare 102/086 is the one that belongs with Chandelure full art cards — and the Pokemon has quietly shown up in nearly every era of the Japanese TCG since Black & White, and 2026 just gave it a Mega evolution.
Chandelure is the final evolution of Litwick (Hitomoshi) and Lampent (Lanpler), a Ghost/Fire chandelier Pokemon introduced in the Black & White generation. Its Japanese card history runs from a Black & White-era Uncommon through the XY, Sword & Shield, and Scarlet & Violet blocks, plus a reprint in the older EX-era EX Battle Boost set and a brand-new Mega evolution card in 2026.
We ship Japanese sealed boxes and singles out of Tokyo, so where a product is available, we link straight to it.
Because Chandelure evolves from Lampent, which itself evolves from Litwick, none of its cards are basic Pokemon — every printing on this page is a Stage 1 or Stage 2 card, or a V/VMAX/ex built on that same evolution chain.
Nine Japanese Chandelure printings covered here span seven sets, from the BW-era Red Collection Uncommon to the 2026 Mega Chandelure ex in Abyss Eye. Chandelure V and VMAX both appear in Fusion Arts (S8), and the newest standard-era print — plus an Art Rare version — comes from Black Bolt (SV11B), the same set that carries Zekrom ex. The Fusion Arts, Black Bolt and Abyss Eye boxes each contain one or more of these prints.

Chandelure Full Art Cards: The Black Bolt Art Rare and Key Japanese Prints
Collectors use “full art” for prints whose artwork fills the whole card face. Japanese sets do not print those words: the official card database prints only a rarity code, and the full-art treatments are the SR (full-art ex and Supporter cards), SAR (Special Art Rare), AR (Art Rare), CHR / CSR (Character Rare) and the gold UR and rainbow HR printings.
Of the nine prints covered here, one carries an art-rarity code: Chandelure 102/086 from Black Bolt (SV11B), the Art Rare (AR). The other eight are Uncommon, Rare, Double Rare, Triple Rare or EX-era prints.
For full-art prints of other species and how the Japanese tiers compare, see our full art Pokemon cards guide.

Chandelure went from its BW-era debut to a single XY-era Rare, then sat out the entire Sun & Moon block before reappearing with a V/VMAX pair in Fusion Arts. From there it has had at least one new Japanese print in every set era since — Battle Region, Black Bolt, and now Abyss Eye — which is a more consistent release cadence than its early history suggests.
Two sets on this list double up: Fusion Arts carries both the V and VMAX, and Black Bolt carries both the base Rare and the Art Rare. If you’re trying to complete the full nine-card run, those two boxes get you four of the nine cards between them.
The Origins: Red Collection and Phantom Gate
Chandelure’s first Japanese print came in Red Collection (BW2), one half of the split Black & White-era «Collection» pair. It’s a plain Uncommon — card 036/066, no special treatment — and its English counterpart is Noble Victories 60/101.
The next print didn’t arrive until the XY block: Phantom Gate (XY4), released around February 6, 2015, gave Chandelure a standard Rare slot at 042/088. Its English counterpart is Phantom Forces 43/119 — a fitting set name for a Ghost-type card, even if the pairing is coincidental. Between these two prints, Chandelure went nearly four years without a new Japanese card.
Neither of these early prints carries a special treatment on their Limitless listing — no full art or alternate illustration marker, just a standard Uncommon and a standard Rare. That changes starting with the next set on this list, where Chandelure gets its first V and VMAX pair.
Chandelure V and VMAX: Fusion Arts
Chandelure’s biggest single-set showing arrived with Fusion Arts (S8), which gave it both a V and a VMAX in the same set — something none of its earlier prints managed.
Chandelure V sits at 014/100, a Double Rare, and Chandelure VMAX follows directly after at 015/100, a Triple Rare. Both belong to the same numbered pair as the rest of Fusion Arts’ V/VMAX line, and both share their English counterpart set, Fusion Strike (39–40/264).
Fusion Arts is the most direct route to this pair — the S8 Fusion Arts booster box is currently listed at ¥59,220 (~$385).
Fusion Arts carries the highest listed price of the three boxes that contain these prints. V and VMAX are both built on the fully evolved Chandelure rather than an earlier form.
Battle Region: The Modern Single Print

Battle Region (S9a), released February 25, 2022, gave Chandelure a straightforward Rare at 014/067 — a standard base-set print with no V, VMAX, or ex treatment attached. Its English counterpart is Lost Origin 26/196.
Battle Region is also the set that carries Gallade’s 034/067 print, so anyone collecting both lines will find them in the same set — see our Gallade cards guide for that side of the set.
Current Era: Chandelure in Black Bolt
Black Bolt (SV11B), released June 6, 2025, is Chandelure’s newest standard print — and it’s a double-dip. The set carries a base Rare at 017/086 and a separate Art Rare treatment at 102/086, both released the same day.
Black Bolt is the same set that carries Zekrom ex’s 037/086 print — if you’re chasing both Pokemon out of the same box, see our Zekrom cards guide. The SV11B Black Bolt booster box (Sealed option currently listed at ¥26,390, ~$171) is the box that contains both Black Bolt Chandelure prints.
The gap between the two SV11B numbers is useful for telling them apart at a glance: 017/086 sits inside the set’s base numbered run, while 102/086 sits well past that count and is the one Limitless lists as the Art Rare. If your copy’s number starts with «10», you have the Art Rare; anything at 017 is the base print.
Mega Chandelure ex: Abyss Eye (2026)

Abyss Eye (M5), released May 22, 2026, gave Chandelure its first Mega evolution card: Mega Chandelure ex, 036/081, a Double Rare. It’s the newest entry on this list and the set’s English counterpart is Pitch Black.
The M5 Abyss Eye booster box is currently listed at ¥9,818 (~$64) for Sealed and ¥8,155 (~$53) for No Shrink, making it the most affordable of the three boxes on this page for chasing a current-era Chandelure print.
A Mega evolution card is a newer card category built on top of the existing evolution line rather than a reprint of an older concept, and Mega Chandelure ex is currently the only Mega-tier card among these nine printings.
The EX-Era Chandelure

Rounding out the list is Chandelure EX from EX Battle Boost (EBB), card number 061. Its English counterpart is Legendary Treasures 77/113. Limitless doesn’t display a rarity symbol on that listing, so it is described simply as an EX-era print.
EX Battle Boost is also where Gallade’s EX-era print (EBB #65) sits — the two cards share the same set if you’re building an EX-era binder.
How to Collect Chandelure Cards
The practical path is sealed product: three booster boxes each have a checklist that includes a specific Chandelure print.
- Fusion Arts (S8) — the only box on this list that contains a V/VMAX pair, currently listed at ¥59,220 (~$385). See the full S8 Fusion Arts card list for everything else in the set.
- Black Bolt (SV11B) — carries both the base Rare and the Art Rare, Sealed option currently listed at ¥26,390 (~$171). Full set breakdown on the SV11B Black Bolt card list.
- Abyss Eye (M5) — the entry point for Mega Chandelure ex, currently listed at ¥9,818 (~$64) for Sealed and ¥8,155 (~$53) for No Shrink. See the M5 Abyss Eye card list for the rest of the set.
Graded Japanese cards are listed on our PSA10 card list.
Deciding between the three current boxes comes down to what you’re actually chasing:
- If you want the widest spread of Chandelure prints from one box, Black Bolt gets you two different cards (the Rare and the Art Rare) from a single purchase.
- If you want the V/VMAX pair specifically, Fusion Arts is the only box on this page that contains them — there’s no substitute set for that combination.
- If you want the newest card at the lowest listed price, Abyss Eye is both the most recent release and the least expensive of the three boxes, which makes it a reasonable first pickup if you’re new to collecting this line.
Where to Buy Chandelure Cards from Japan
All three Chandelure-containing boxes on this page ship as sealed Japanese product out of Tokyo. If you only have room for one, Abyss Eye is the newest print in this guide and the lowest entry price of the three.
The Fusion Arts box and the Black Bolt box are the matching sealed products for the other prints. For the older Red Collection, Phantom Gate, Battle Region and EX Battle Boost prints, sourcing requests go through Pedido rápido, which is also the fastest way to build a mixed order.
All three boxes ship sealed and unopened, exactly as we receive them from Japan. The 30th Celebration Chandelure Art Rare is covered in its own guide: the Chandelure AR 112/103 guide.
