Nemona is the rival character and reigning Champion of the Paldea region, and on the Japanese Pokemon TCG side she’s had an unusually consistent career: every printing of her support card carries the same effect — draw 3 cards — across ten separate releases since January 2023. She’s also rarely been a straightforward booster pull. The Shiny Treasure ex SR and SAR, released together in December 2023, are her only two printings that actually came out of a random booster pack; every other version shipped inside a starter set, a structured deck, or an event-exclusive box. It’s the SAR half of that pair we currently carry.
This guide runs through every Nemona printing in the Japanese TCG, plus the Nemona’s Backpack item card that shares her Shiny Treasure ex release, in the order they were issued. We ship Japanese sealed product and singles out of Tokyo every week, and the details below reflect our own catalog and the official Pokemon Card database as of August 2026.
Nemona has ten Japanese support-card printings dating back to January 2023, all sharing the “Draw 3 cards” effect, plus one item card (Nemona’s Backpack). The Special Art Rare from the Shiny Treasure ex high-class pack (SV4a 351/190) is one of only two Nemona printings that actually came from a booster pack (alongside the SV4a 343/190 SR), and we currently carry a PSA 10 copy of the SAR — PSA 10 Nemona SAR [SV4a 351/190], Shiny Treasure ex, currently listed at ¥7,622 (업데이트: 현재 품절 — Quick Order로 재입고 요청). If you’d rather chase the card yourself, the Shiny Treasure ex booster box (업데이트: 현재 품절 — Quick Order로 재입고 요청) is currently listed from ¥17,680.
Prices are current listings from our own catalog as of August 2026, converted at ¥163/USD. Only the Shiny Treasure ex Special Art Rare is presently in our graded stock; the other printings below are covered for identification, not as items we currently have listed.
Every Nemona Card in the Japanese TCG
Eleven cards across six Japanese products carry Nemona’s likeness or name, issued between January 2023 and February 2025:
| 카드 | Number | Rarity | Set | Year |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Nemona | SVAM 022 | — | ex Starter Set (Sprigatito & Lucario ex) | 2023 |
| Nemona | SVD 133/139 | — | ex Starter Decks | 2023 |
| Nemona | SVD 134/139 | — | ex Starter Decks | 2023 |
| Nemona | WCS23 027 | — | World Championships 2023 Yokohama Deck –Pikachu– | 2023 |
| Nemona | WCS23 028 | — | World Championships 2023 Yokohama Deck –Pikachu– | 2023 |
| Nemona | SV4a 343/190 | SR | Shiny Treasure ex | 2023 |
| Nemona | SV4a 351/190 | SAR | Shiny Treasure ex | 2023 |
| Nemona’s Backpack | SV4a 160/190 | — | Shiny Treasure ex | 2023 |
| Nemona | SVI 061 | — | Scarlet & Violet: Battle Academy | 2024 |
| Nemona | SVI 062 | — | Scarlet & Violet: Battle Academy | 2024 |
| Nemona | SVOD 015/018 | — | Steven’s Beldum & Metagross ex Starter Set | 2025 |
The pattern is consistent: nearly every Nemona printing shipped inside a starter set, a structured deck, or an event-exclusive box rather than a standard booster. That changed once, in the Shiny Treasure ex high-class pack, and the sections below cover each release in order.
The official Pokemon Card database returns 33 total listings under the name “Nemona,” a wider number than the eleven cards catalogued above. Those 33 hits include starter-deck reprints and promo entries of the same cards; the eleven card numbers above are the distinct printings that matter for identifying what you’re holding.
The Starter-Set Exclusive: Where Nemona Started

Nemona’s first Japanese printing wasn’t a booster pull at all. She’s absent from the SV1S and SV1V booster packs that opened the Scarlet & Violet era in January 2023, and made her debut instead as an included card in the ex Starter Set line — the pre-built decks built around Sprigatito & Lucario ex, released the same day as the base sets on January 20, 2023. That printing, card number 22, was illustrated by Sanosuke Sakuma, who would go on to illustrate every subsequent regular-print Nemona through 2024.
Because starter sets are pre-built rather than pack-randomized, this printing was never a chase card — every copy of the deck came with one. It’s the version most likely to turn up loose from a dismantled starter deck rather than a booster box.
Two More Faces: Starter Decks and the Worlds 2023 Deck
Six months later, Nemona got two brand-new illustrations at once. The July 2023 ex Starter Decks release (SVD) paired her with two separate Sanosuke Sakuma artworks on consecutive card numbers — the official database’s image files for the two arts are named “NEMOKAKO” and “NEMOMIRAI.”
The same two artworks were reused three weeks later for the World Championships 2023 Yokohama Deck –Pikachu–, a memorial deck tied to the 2023 Worlds event held in Yokohama. Those Worlds-deck copies (card numbers 27 and 28) are physically the same illustrations as the SVD starter-deck pair, just reissued under the event set’s own numbering — so if you’re trying to tell an SVD copy from a WCS23 copy, the set code on the card is the only reliable marker.
The Chase Print: Shiny Treasure ex SR and SAR
Shiny Treasure ex, the high-class pack released December 1, 2023, is where Nemona finally landed inside an actual booster product — and it gave her two printings at once, both higher up the rarity ladder than anything before them.
The Secret Rare (343/190) keeps Sanosuke Sakuma’s established Nemona style in a full-illustration secret-rare treatment. The Special Art Rare (351/190) is a different illustration entirely, credited to artist aspara, and it’s the printing we currently carry graded — PSA 10 Nemona SAR [SV4a 351/190], currently listed at ¥7,622 (업데이트: 현재 품절 — Quick Order로 재입고 요청).
The SR and SAR share a set and a subject but not an artist. If you’re comparing listings, match the card number (343 vs. 351) rather than relying on the artwork alone — both are full-bleed illustrations at a glance.
Because the SR and SAR are the only two Nemona prints that actually come out of a booster pack, sealed Shiny Treasure ex product is the direct route to either card:
For the rest of the set’s chase cards, our Shiny Treasure ex best cards guide covers what else comes out of the same box, and our PSA 10 trainer cards guide covers other graded trainer and supporter cards we carry alongside Nemona.
Nemona’s Backpack: The Support Card’s Sidekick

Shiny Treasure ex also introduced Nemona’s Backpack, an item card released alongside the SR and SAR support prints and illustrated by AYUMI ODASHIMA. Its effect returns up to two Nemona support cards from your discard pile to your hand — a direct callback that only makes sense once you already own a copy of the character card itself. It’s the one Nemona-branded card in this guide that isn’t the support card, and it shares the December 1, 2023 release date with both the SR and SAR.
Because Nemona’s own text only draws cards rather than searching the deck, Nemona’s Backpack is the one card in her lineup built specifically to bring used copies back once they’ve already been played and discarded. The two cards were designed and released together, and neither one references the other outside this single set.
Later Reprints and the English-Language Nemona
Nemona’s Japanese run continued into 2024 and 2025. Scarlet & Violet: Battle Academy, released March 8, 2024, carries two more Nemona printings (SVI 061 and SVI 062), illustrated by Sanosuke Sakuma. A year later, Nemona picked up a reprint at card 015/018 inside the ダイゴ (Steven) -themed Starter Set ex, “Steven’s Beldum & Metagross ex,” released February 21, 2025 — a construct-ready deck built around a different Champion entirely, with Nemona along for the ride as a supporting draw card.
Outside Japan, English-language Nemona exists in two places: the base Scarlet & Violet set (card 180) and Paldean Fates, where she appears at standard rarity (#82 and #83) and at higher-rarity tiers (#229 and #238). None of the English printings use the aspara SAR artwork; we have not confirmed an English release using that illustration.
Where to Buy Nemona Cards from Japan

What does Nemona do as a Pokemon TCG card?

Which Nemona card is the rarest?
Of the ten support prints, the Shiny Treasure ex Special Art Rare (SV4a 351/190, illustrated by aspara) sits at the highest rarity tier and is one of only two booster-pack printings she has (alongside the SV4a 343/190 SR) — every other version came from a starter set, structured deck, or event promo. It’s the printing we currently carry PSA 10 graded, at ¥7,622.
What is Nemona’s Backpack?
It’s an item card released alongside the Shiny Treasure ex SR and SAR (SV4a 160/190, illustrated by AYUMI ODASHIMA). Its effect returns up to two Nemona support cards from your discard pile to your hand.

Yes. English-language Nemona appears in the base Scarlet & Violet set (card 180) and in Paldean Fates at standard rarity (#82 and #83) and higher-rarity tiers (#229 and #238). We have not confirmed an English release using the aspara Special Art Rare artwork from Shiny Treasure ex.
