Rocket’s Zapdos, card number 008 of 25, is part of the Japanese-exclusive Promo Card Pack 25th Anniversary Edition. It is a reprint of the original English Gym Challenge 15/132 card — a Rare Holo illustrated by Shin-ichi Yoshida and first released in 2000 — and its Japanese sister-set counterpart, Challenge from the Darkness.
The reprint keeps Yoshida’s original artwork intact and adds a red-and-gold “25th” logo in the bottom-right corner of the illustration. That logo is the fastest way to tell a 25th-anniversary reprint from the original 2000 print at a glance.
Look for the red-and-gold “25th” mark in the bottom-right corner of the artwork. If it’s there, you’re holding the 2021 Japanese reprint — not the original 2000 Gym Challenge card.
The card carries over the same species data as the original print: a Lightning-type Basic Pokémon. We haven’t been able to verify a full attack/HP listing for this specific reprint in this research pass, so we’re leaving that detail out rather than guessing.
