Squard is a background face in the Whitebeard Pirates Allies line-up, but he has still turned up on three separate official card numbers across three different products — and the colour printed on his card actually changes depending on which one you have. That trips up a lot of collectors sorting through a Paramount War binder or a starter-deck pull.
This guide runs through every confirmed Squard print — card number, rarity, colour, cost and power — from -Paramount War- [OP-02], the -Ace & Newgate- [ST-22] starter deck, and -THE TIME OF BATTLE- [OP-16], and points out exactly which set carries the print you can currently buy from us as sealed product.
Squard has three confirmed card numbers — OP02-009 (UC, Red), ST22-007 (C, Blue) and OP16-008 (C, Red) — plus parallel prints of the OP-02 and ST-22 numbers. Only -THE TIME OF BATTLE- [OP-16] Japanese Booster Box (업데이트: 현재 품절 — Quick Order로 재입고 요청) is currently listed on our site, in both a regular-condition listing and a Damaged Box listing.
Card numbers, rarities, colours, cost and power are taken from the official One Piece Card Game card list search (asia-en.onepiece-cardgame.com/cardlist/). Prices are our own listed prices on samuraiswordtokyo.com, checked today.
Squard in -Paramount War- [OP-02]
Squard’s first appearance is OP02-009, an UC Character card, coloured Red, with a cost of 3 and power of 5000, belonging to the Whitebeard Pirates Allies feature line in -Paramount War- [OP-02].

OP-02 is not currently listed as sealed product on our site, and no PSA10 single of OP02-009 is listed either. This print is not listed on our site at the moment; sourcing requests go through 빠른 주문.
Squard in -Ace & Newgate- [ST-22]
Squard’s second card number is ST22-007, a C Character card from the -Ace & Newgate- [ST-22] starter deck. It carries a cost of 1 and power of 2000 — and, notably, it’s printed in Blue rather than the Red seen on his other two prints.

ST-22 is a starter deck rather than a booster box, and it is not currently listed on our site. As with the OP-02 print above, this print is not listed on our site at the moment; sourcing requests go through 빠른 주문.
Squard in -THE TIME OF BATTLE- [OP-16]
The print that matters most for buyers is OP16-008, a C Character card, Red, cost 5, power 7000, from -THE TIME OF BATTLE- [OP-16] — because OP-16 is the only set carrying a Squard card that we currently list as sealed product.

Note the Red colour here matches OP02-009, not the Blue ST22-007 — two of Squard’s three prints are Red, one is Blue. Don’t assume the colour is fixed just because two prints agree.
Check the cost and power in the corner before anything else. OP02-009 runs cost 3 / power 5000; OP16-008 runs cost 5 / power 7000; ST22-007 runs cost 1 / power 2000. All three carry the Whitebeard Pirates Allies feature.
Parallel Prints and the Colour Split
Two of Squard’s three card numbers also have a confirmed parallel version: OP02-009 has a parallel, and ST22-007 has a parallel, in both cases keeping the same rarity, colour, cost and power as the base print. OP16-008 has no confirmed parallel in the official card list.

| Card # | Rarity | Colour | Cost / Power | Set |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| OP02-009 | UC | Red | 3 / 5000 | -Paramount War- [OP-02] |
| OP02-009 (parallel) | UC | Red | 3 / 5000 | -Paramount War- [OP-02] |
| OP16-008 | C | Red | 5 / 7000 | -THE TIME OF BATTLE- [OP-16] |
| ST22-007 | C | Blue | 1 / 2000 | -Ace & Newgate- [ST-22] |
| ST22-007 (parallel) | C | Blue | 1 / 2000 | -Ace & Newgate- [ST-22] |
Worth spelling out clearly: this is not a case of one colour being an error and the other being “correct”. Both the Red OP-02/OP-16 prints and the Blue ST-22 print are official, verified printings under the card’s own numbers — the colour genuinely differs between the starter-deck print and the two booster prints.
Squard shares his Whitebeard Pirates Allies feature line with several better-known crewmates. If you’re building out the wider cast, our guides to Marco, Jozu, Vista and Thatch cover the rest of the line-up, and our Whitebeard One Piece cards guide covers the crew’s Leader himself.
Which Box to Open for Squard
Of the three sets that carry a Squard card, only -THE TIME OF BATTLE- [OP-16] is currently listed on our site — and it’s listed in two conditions.
The regular-condition OP-16 box (업데이트: 현재 품절 — Quick Order로 재입고 요청) is currently listed at ¥12,360 (~$78); the Damaged Box listing is currently listed at ¥11,400 (~$72). Both come from the same booster run and carry the same OP16-008 Squard print — the difference between the two listings is box-condition, not card content. Our OP-16 regular vs Damaged Box guide explains exactly what separates the two listings if you’re deciding between them.

자주 묻는 질문
What sets is Squard in?
Squard has three confirmed card numbers: OP02-009 in -Paramount War- [OP-02], ST22-007 in the -Ace & Newgate- [ST-22] starter deck, and OP16-008 in -THE TIME OF BATTLE- [OP-16]. OP02-009 and ST22-007 each also have a confirmed parallel print.
Is Squard’s card Red or Blue?
Both, depending on the printing. OP02-009 and OP16-008 are Red. ST22-007, from the ST-22 starter deck, is Blue. The colour genuinely differs between prints rather than being an error on one of them.
Which box should I open to pull Squard?
-THE TIME OF BATTLE- [OP-16] is the only set carrying a Squard card that we currently list as sealed product, in a regular-condition listing (¥12,360 / ~$78) and a Damaged Box listing (¥11,400 / ~$72). The OP-02 and ST-22 products are not listed on our site at the moment.
Can I buy the OP-02 or ST-22 print of Squard from you directly?
Not as a standing listing right now — neither -Paramount War- [OP-02] nor the -Ace & Newgate- [ST-22] starter deck is currently listed on our site, and no PSA10 single of either print is listed. Sourcing requests for those specific prints go through Quick Order.
What rarity is Squard’s card?
OP02-009 is Uncommon (UC); OP16-008 and ST22-007 are both Common (C). None of Squard’s three confirmed prints are above Common/Uncommon rarity.
