N’s Reshiram 109/100 AR Card Guide: The Battle Partners (SV9) Japanese Print

N’s Reshiram 109/100 AR Card Guide: The Battle Partners (SV9) Japanese Print

N’s Reshiram debuted with two Japanese printings in Battle Partners (SV9), and one of them — the 109/100 Art Rare — carries a card number that sits above the set’s own nominal total. That single detail tells you almost everything about where this card ranks within that release.

This guide covers both Japanese prints of N’s Reshiram, the Battle Partners (SV9) set they come from, how the Japanese numbering compares to the English Journey Together release, and where the Art Rare sits relative to its own sibling print. We source and ship this set’s Japanese sealed product out of Tokyo, and the facts below come from the Japanese card database and our own listing history — no third-party price estimates.

Key Takeaways

N’s Reshiram has two prints within Battle Partners (SV9), released 24 January 2025: the base Rare at 74/100 and the Art Rare chase print at 109/100. Sealed Battle Partners booster boxes are currently listed at ¥10,094–¥10,812 (~$63–$68). The PSA 10 109/100 AR is not currently listed on our site; sourcing requests for a graded copy go through Quick Order.

N’s Reshiram (Nのレシラム) is a Basic Dragon-type Pokemon card with 130 HP. It carries two attacks: Power Rage, which deals damage based on 20 times the number of damage counters already on the opposing Pokemon, and Innocent Flame, a flat 170-damage attack. Retreat cost is 2, and the card is printed under Regulation Mark I.

The 109/100 Art Rare is the full-illustration version, drawn by Bun Toujo. Its card number already tells you something worth noting: Battle Partners has a gallery total of 132 cards, but the standard numbering runs to a nominal 100 — the Art Rare sits above that nominal total, in the block reserved for the set’s alternate-art chase prints.

The Set: Battle Partners (SV9)

Battle Partners is a Japanese Scarlet & Violet-era set, coded SV9, with the same name used for both its Japanese and (later) English releases. It released in Japan on 24 January 2025 and carries a gallery total of 132 cards, against a nominal set-numbering denominator of 100 — the standard pattern for modern Scarlet & Violet-era Japanese sets, where secret and alternate-art rarities are numbered past the nominal total rather than folded into it.

For the complete 132-card breakdown, see our Battle Partners (SV9) card list, and for a set-wide look at its box contents, our Battle Partners box guide.

Japanese vs English Print

N’s Reshiram does have an English-set equivalent, released in Journey Together (JTG). The numbering does not carry over directly:

Print Japanese (SV9) English (JTG)
Standard Rare 74/100 #116
Art Rare 109/100 #167/159

Journey Together uses a larger nominal denominator (159) than Battle Partners (100), and its Art Rare is numbered 167 — past that total, the same convention Battle Partners uses at 109/100. The card content (HP, type, attacks) is identical between the Japanese and English prints; only the set numbering and language differ.

Where This Print Sits in the Chase-Rarity Tiers

Within Battle Partners, N’s Reshiram exists in two Japanese rarities, and there is no ambiguity about which one is the chase print in this set. The 74/100 Rare is the standard-frame version inside the set’s regular numbering — the print most commonly pulled and played. The 109/100 Art Rare is the full-illustration version numbered above the set’s nominal 100-card total, in the block Battle Partners reserves for its alternate-art rarities.

No SR, SAR or UR version of N’s Reshiram has been confirmed in Battle Partners or elsewhere, so within this set the Art Rare is the top print by illustration rarity, not by comparison to a longer internal ladder. We don’t carry pull-rate figures for this set and won’t state one as fact here.
