Glaceon GX Value Guide: Every Printing & Price

Glaceon GX Value Guide: Every Printing & Price

Glaceon GX has eleven printings across six sets and two languages — and one of them gets mixed up with a completely different set more often than any other card in the Eeveelution GX line.

If you’re chasing the rainbow-foil 073/066 hyper rare, it’s worth knowing exactly where it comes from before you shop: it’s an Ultra Moon (SM5M) print from December 2017, not a Champion Road card, and it never appeared in an SM1-era set. This guide walks through every confirmed Glaceon GX printing, JP and EN, what separates them, and where the current PSA10 asking-price market sits for the 073/066 chase.

Glaceon GX is part of the wave of Sun & Moon-era GX cards that predates the V/VMAX system — the same generation that produced Umbreon GX and Espeon GX. It debuted almost a year after Umbreon GX and follows the same three-tier structure most GX-era Eeveelutions share: a base rare, a full-art super rare, and a rainbow-foil hyper rare, followed by a later high-class-pack reprint wave and a tournament promo.

Key Takeaways

Glaceon GX has 11 confirmed printings across Ultra Moon (SM5M), GX Ultra Shiny (SM8b), an SM-P tournament promo, and three English/Hidden Fates prints. The chase HR is 073/066 from Ultra Moon — recent snkrdunk PSA10 asking prices cluster at ¥44,980–¥45,000 (~$306), while our own graded PSA10 073/066 HR is currently listed at ¥51,500 (~$350).

Every Glaceon GX Printing

Glaceon GX made its debut in the Japanese Ultra Moon set on December 8, 2017 — it did not appear in any SM1-era release. From there it was reprinted twice in 2018–2019 and picked up five separate English prints. Here’s the full list:

11 Glaceon-GX SV55/SV94 Hidden Fates — Shiny Vault (EN) Shiny Rare 2019

All verified artist credits are 5ban Graphics; SM147’s artist remains unverified. All six JP/EN base sets trace back to the same Ultra Moon / Ultra Prism generation — there is no separate Sun-side (SM1S) Glaceon GX, and no Champion Road (SM6b) printing exists as catalogued by Bulbapedia and Limitless TCG as of August 2026.

For comparison, Umbreon GX — released almost exactly a year earlier from Collection Moon (SM1M) on December 9, 2016 — followed nearly the same pattern: a base RR, full-art SR, rainbow HR, a tournament promo, an SM8b SSR reprint, and English prints spanning Sun & Moon base set and Hidden Fates, landing at 10 confirmed printings against Glaceon’s 11. The two cards make a useful comparison because they share almost the same release structure one generation apart.

The Chase Card: 073/066 Hyper Rare (Ultra Moon)

The card most collectors mean when they say “Glaceon GX HR” is 073/066, the rainbow hyper rare from Ultra Moon (SM5M), released December 8, 2017. Ultra Moon’s numbering caps at 066, so 073/066 sits in the set’s secret-rare block, alongside the 011/066 base rare and the 067/066 full-art super rare of the same card.

Common Mix-Up

The 073/066 HR is frequently mislabeled as a Champion Road (SM6b) card in resale listings and search results. It isn’t. Bulbapedia’s Glaceon-GX print list shows no Champion Road printing and no SM1-era printing at all — the HR belongs exclusively to Ultra Moon. If a listing describes a “Champion Road” Glaceon GX HR, treat the set attribution as incorrect.

Glaceon GX 011/066 RR (Ultra Moon)

Glaceon GX 067/066 SR Full Art, Ultra Moon (SM5M)

Glaceon GX 067/066 SR Full Art (Ultra Moon)

In Japan, the EN counterpart of Ultra Moon is Ultra Prism (UPR), released February 2, 2018 — about two months later. The English secret rainbow rare that corresponds to 073/066 is UPR 159/156, covered below.

Like most SM-era hyper rares, 073/066 uses a full rainbow-holo textured surface rather than a printed border, which means centering and surface wear both show more easily than on a standard holofoil card. That’s part of why grading matters more on this printing than on the 011/066 base rare or the 027/150 reprint — a PSA10 label is doing more work distinguishing condition on a rainbow foil than on a flatter, less texture-sensitive print.

The Shiny Chase: 215/150 SSR (GX Ultra Shiny)

Glaceon GX 215/150 SSR shiny, GX Ultra Shiny (SM8b)
Glaceon GX 215/150 SSR (shiny) — GX Ultra Shiny (SM8b)

Glaceon GX’s second major chase print is 215/150, the shiny full-art SSR from GX Ultra Shiny (SM8b), a high-class pack released November 2, 2018. This set reprinted a wide range of earlier GX-era Pokemon in shiny colorways, and Glaceon appears twice in it — once as a regular RR reprint of the base 011/066 art (027/150) and once as the shiny-colored 215/150 SSR.

We don’t have reliable current asking-price data for 215/150 SSR to publish here, so we’re not printing a figure for it. Community consensus (reflected in the market spread Limitless TCG displays across the Glaceon-GX print family) treats the SM5M 073/066 HR and the SM8b 215/150 SSR as the two prints collectors chase hardest in Japanese Glaceon GX — the 073/066 for its rainbow secret-rare treatment, the 215/150 for its shiny-vault-style palette swap.

Umbreon GX went through the same reprint pattern in the same set: its SM8b entry is 229/150 SSR, and that print is the recognized primary Umbreon GX chase in Japanese — ahead of even its own SM1M 069/060 HR, per market consensus. Whether the SM8b SSR or the original set’s HR ranks as the “real” chase for a given GX-era Eeveelution varies card by card, which is part of why it’s worth checking both before assuming the older printing is automatically the pricier one.

The Tournament Promo: 269/SM-P

Glaceon GX 269/SM-P promo, Championship Series 2019 play-point prize
Glaceon GX 269/SM-P promo — Championship Series 2019 play-point redemption prize

Glaceon-GX 269/SM-P is a Japanese tournament promo, not a set pull. It was one of five possible prizes redeemable for 8 Play Points at participating Champions League venues and championship events between 2019 and 2020 — specifically the 2019 Tokyo Champions League, a 2019 certified tournament at Makuhari Messe, the 2019 Pokemon Japan Championships, and the 2020 Tokyo Champions League.

Because it was earned through a points system rather than sold or pulled from packs, 269/SM-P sits outside the normal booster-box supply chain entirely. We don’t have current asking-price data for this promo to publish here.

Umbreon GX has a structurally similar promo — SM-P 125, also an 8-Play-Point redemption prize distributed across 2018–2019 Champions League events and the Japan Championships. Both promos share the same distribution mechanism, just a season apart, which is a reminder that “promo” doesn’t automatically mean “rare pull” for GX-era Eeveelutions — it can also mean “earned through tournament attendance,” a very different collecting path than opening packs.

The English Side: Ultra Prism and Hidden Fates

English collectors have three routes into Glaceon-GX from the main Ultra Prism set, plus two promo/subset prints:

Printing Set Rarity Notes
Glaceon-GX 39/156 Ultra Prism Rare Holo GX Base pull; JP counterpart is Ultra Moon 011/066
Glaceon-GX 141/156 Ultra Prism Full Art Ultra Rare JP counterpart is Ultra Moon 067/066 SR
Glaceon-GX 159/156 Ultra Prism Secret (Rainbow) Rare EN equivalent of the Ultra Moon 073/066 HR chase
Glaceon-GX SM147 SM Black Star Promos Promo Print confirmed to exist; the exact distributing product is unverified — treat sourcing claims with caution
Glaceon-GX SV55/SV94 Hidden Fates (Shiny Vault) Shiny Rare Released August 23, 2019; the best-known English Glaceon-GX chase, per market consensus

Per market consensus reflected in Limitless TCG’s displayed spread across the UPR/39 print family, the Hidden Fates Shiny Vault print (SV55) is the recognized English chase, with the Ultra Prism 159/156 secret rainbow rare behind it. We’re not publishing current asking prices for the English prints here since we don’t have verified figures for them.

Current PSA10 Asking Prices for 073/066 HR

We pulled snkrdunk listings for PSA10-graded Glaceon-GX 073/066 HR on August 20, 2026. All figures below are asking prices — what sellers are requesting, not confirmed sale prices.

The full spread across all visible listings ran from ¥15,000 to ¥120,000 (~$102–$816), but that range mixes old and current listings. The two most recently posted listings — the ones with the freshest listing IDs — sit at ¥44,980 and ¥45,000 (~$306). The lower end of the full spread traces back to older, likely stale listings, so we’re treating ¥44,980–45,000 as the current asking-price anchor rather than the full ¥15,000–120,000 spread.

Reading Asking-Price Spreads

A wide spread on a resale marketplace usually means old listings haven’t been pulled or repriced, not that the card’s value swung that much. When a spread is this wide, the freshest listings — not the average or the extremes — are the more useful reference point.

Our own graded copy, PSA10 Glaceon GX 073/066 HR (update: currently sold out — restock requests via Quick Order), is currently listed at ¥51,500 (~$350) (update: currently sold out — restock requests via Quick Order). That’s above the recent snkrdunk asking-price cluster; asking prices on a peer-to-peer marketplace reflect what individual sellers are requesting at a given moment, not a confirmed market rate, so a spread between our listing and marketplace asks isn’t a signal of over- or under-pricing on its own — just two different sources.

Ungraded (raw) and PSA9 figures for 073/066 came back as single listings each in our search, which is too thin a sample to anchor a market figure — we’re not printing those numbers here.

If you’re comparing across the GX-era Eeveelution family, it’s worth noting how much wider some of those spreads run: Umbreon GX’s own SM1M 069/060 HR showed a PSA10 asking-price spread of ¥289,000–¥650,000 in the same August 2026 snkrdunk pull — several multiples above Glaceon’s 073/066 cluster. Market consensus attributes that gap to Umbreon’s broader “Moonbreon” halo demand across the whole Umbreon card family rather than anything about the print run itself, and it’s useful context if you’re weighing which GX-era Eeveelution chase to prioritize on a budget.

How to Get a Glaceon GX Card

Ultra Moon and GX Ultra Shiny are both long out of print, so sealed booster boxes from either set are not something we currently list — the practical routes into Glaceon GX today are graded singles and raw singles sourced individually.

We currently list the graded PSA10 Glaceon GX 073/066 HR at ¥51,500 (~$350) (update: currently sold out — restock requests via Quick Order) — PSA independently determines authenticity and grade, so a PSA10 label reflects PSA’s own condition assessment of that specific copy. If you’re after a different printing from the table above — the 215/150 SSR, an Ultra Prism secret rainbow, or a raw copy of 073/066 — the fastest way to check current availability is our Quick Order page, where you can submit a request for a specific card and number.

常见问题

Which Glaceon GX card is the most valuable?

Per market consensus, the two prints collectors chase hardest are the Ultra Moon (SM5M) 073/066 hyper rare and the GX Ultra Shiny (SM8b) 215/150 SSR in Japanese, and the Hidden Fates Shiny Vault SV55 in English. We have verified current asking-price data only for the 073/066 HR, where recent PSA10 listings cluster at ¥44,980–45,000 (~$306).

What set is the Glaceon GX 073/066 HR actually from?

Ultra Moon (SM5M), released December 8, 2017. It is sometimes mislabeled as a Champion Road (SM6b) card in resale listings, but Bulbapedia’s print list shows no Champion Road or SM1-era Glaceon GX printing — the HR is exclusive to Ultra Moon.

How much is Glaceon GX 073/066 HR PSA10 worth?

Recent snkrdunk asking prices for PSA10 073/066 HR cluster at ¥44,980–¥45,000 (~$306). The full range of visible listings spans ¥15,000 to ¥120,000, but the lower and higher ends trace to older listings, so the ¥44,980–45,000 cluster is the more current reference. Our own graded copy is currently listed at ¥51,500 (~$350). These are asking prices, not confirmed sale prices.

How was the Glaceon GX 269/SM-P promo distributed?

It was one of five possible prizes redeemable for 8 Play Points at participating Champions League and championship events in Japan between 2019 and 2020, including the 2019 and 2020 Tokyo Champions League, a 2019 certified tournament at Makuhari Messe, and the 2019 Pokemon Japan Championships. It was not sold or pulled from packs.

What’s the English counterpart to Ultra Moon for Glaceon GX?

Ultra Prism (UPR), released February 2, 2018 — about two months after Ultra Moon. UPR 39/156 is the base pull, 141/156 is the full-art ultra rare, and 159/156 is the secret rainbow rare that corresponds to the Ultra Moon 073/066 HR.
