Print History: Every Japanese N’s Reshiram

Two Japanese N’s Reshiram prints come from Battle Partners (SV9) itself, which is this guide’s focus. Both share the same HP, type and attacks — the difference is illustration and rarity.

SV9 #74/100 — Rare

The 74/100 Rare is the standard-frame print within the set’s normal numbering, illustrated by rika. This is the print most players pull and play with; it sits inside the set’s regular 1–100 run rather than the alternate-art block.

SV9 #109/100 — Art Rare

Limitless TCG’s own print-history table also lists N’s Reshiram reprinted outside Battle Partners, in Mega Dream ex (M2a) #128 and Starter Decks 100 Battle Collection (MC) #545; Limitless does not publish a rarity tier for either reprint. This guide focuses on the two Battle Partners prints, since the 109/100 Art Rare remains this card’s only confirmed alternate-art print.

Part of a Wider 2025 Release Wave

N’s Reshiram belongs to a set of 2025 “owner’s-Pokemon” cards built around N. It is a distinct card from N’s Zekrom, which debuts separately in MEGA Dream ex (M2a) rather than in Battle Partners, with its own standard print (129/193, illustrated by AKIRA EGAWA) and its own Art Rare (210/193, illustrated by Bun Toujo). Japanese vs English Print

N’s Reshiram does have an English-set equivalent, released in Journey Together (JTG). The numbering does not carry over directly:

Journey Together uses a larger nominal denominator (159) than Battle Partners (100), and its Art Rare is numbered 167 — past that total, the same convention Battle Partners uses at 109/100. The card content (HP, type, attacks) is identical between the Japanese and English prints; only the set numbering and language differ.
