One Supporter card, three Japanese rarities, and a naming trend that trips up a lot of buyers searching for it by the wrong card.
Morty’s Conviction (マツバノ確信) is a Trainer-Supporter from the Japanese Wild Force (SV5K) set, released 26 January 2024. Within Wild Force it has three printings — an Uncommon, a Secret Rare, and the Special Art Rare (SAR) that anchors this guide, numbered 097/071 — and Limitless TCG’s own print-history record also lists later reprints of the card outside Wild Force. This page covers the three Wild Force prints, how the set’s numbering works, how the SAR relates to its English-set counterpart, and where it sits among Japanese chase rarities.
We ship graded Japanese singles and sealed Wild Force product out of Tokyo. Our PSA 10 copy of the 097/071 SAR is currently listed at ¥30,470 (~$192), priced at ¥159/USD as of September 2026.
Wild Force (SV5K) carries three Japanese prints of Morty’s Conviction: Uncommon 069/071, Secret Rare 092/071, and Special Art Rare 097/071. Our PSA 10 097/071 SAR is currently listed at ¥30,470 (~$192). Sealed Wild Force booster boxes are also currently listed if you’d rather pull your own copy.
The Card: Morty’s Conviction 097/071 SAR

Morty’s Conviction is a Trainer-Supporter: play it from your hand, discard one card, and draw cards equal to your opponent’s number of Benched Pokémon. As with all Supporters, one play per turn.
The 097/071 Special Art Rare is the full-scene illustration by Megumi Mizutani, sitting at card number 97 in a set whose base numbering runs to 071 — already a sign that this is one of Wild Force’s secret-slot prints rather than a standard-sequence card. It is the highest of the three numbered prints and the one this guide anchors on.
This is the print anchoring this guide: a PSA 10 097/071 SAR, currently listed at ¥30,470 (~$192).
Every Japanese Print of Morty’s Conviction
Wild Force printed Morty’s Conviction three times, all in the same set and on the same release date. Here’s the Wild Force lineup:
| Set | Number | Rarity | Illustrator | Release |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Wild Force (SV5K) | 069/071 | Uncommon | GIDORA | 26 Jan 2024 |
| Wild Force (SV5K) | 092/071 | Secret Rare | GIDORA | 26 Jan 2024 |
| Wild Force (SV5K) | 097/071 | SAR | Megumi Mizutani | 26 Jan 2024 |
The 069/071 Uncommon is the standard-sequence print, sitting inside the set’s nominal 071-card base run — the copy most players pull from a Wild Force pack and use in a deck. Both this print and the 092/071 Secret Rare share the same illustrator, GIDORA.
The 092/071 Secret Rare is the first of the two secret-slot prints, positioned in the extended numbering beyond 071. The 097/071 SAR covered above sits further along the same secret sequence, closest to the top of the set’s full gallery.
Limitless TCG’s own print-history record for this card also lists reprints outside Wild Force, in Starter Decks Generations (SVM), Terastal Fest ex (SV8a), and Starter Decks 100 Battle Collection (MC) — all credited to the same GIDORA illustration used on the 069/071 Uncommon and 092/071 Secret Rare. This guide focuses on the Wild Force trio, since that’s where the SAR anchor and its two sibling prints originate.
Japanese Supporter cards named “…’s Conviction” form a naming pattern across multiple sets, not a single card family. Karen’s Conviction (S5a 081/070 (update: currently sold out — restock requests via Quick Order) Secret Rare, “Twin Warriors”, released 19 March 2021) is a different character from a different, much earlier set — see our Karen’s Conviction card guide for that print. It is not a reprint or predecessor of Morty’s Conviction.

The Set: Wild Force (SV5K)
Wild Force carries the same name in Japanese and English — Wild Force — and was released in Japan on 26 January 2024 under the set code SV5K.
The set’s nominal card count is 71, which is the denominator printed on every regular-sequence card (hence “069/071”). Secret and art rares extend past that base run, and Wild Force’s full gallery — including those extended slots — totals 100 cards, which is where 092/071 and 097/071 sit despite the /071 denominator on the card itself.
The SV5K code places Wild Force within Japan’s SV-numbered set sequence, identifiable directly from the set code prefix itself.
Japanese vs English Print
Morty’s Conviction does have an English-set equivalent: Temporal Forces (TEF). The English set carries the same Supporter across three numbers — 155, 201, and 211 — spanning its own regular-to-alt-art variant sequence, mirroring the three-rarity spread of the Japanese release.
The numbering conventions don’t line up one to one between the two languages: Wild Force uses a /071 base denominator with secret slots running to 100, while Temporal Forces uses its own English-set numbering across 155, 201 and 211. If you’re matching a specific print across languages, go by illustration and rarity tier rather than assuming the card numbers correspond directly.
Where the SAR Sits in Japan’s Chase-Rarity Tiers
Within Wild Force’s own numbering, the sequence climbs in three steps: the standard-run Uncommon at 069/071, up through the Secret Rare at 092/071, to the Special Art Rare at 097/071 — the highest nominal slot of the three and the closest to the top of the set’s 100-card gallery.
That climbing sequence is also a climb in scarcity of treatment: a standard-frame Uncommon, a secret-numbered full-art Secret Rare, and finally the SAR’s expanded illustration by Megumi Mizutani. We’re not publishing pull-rate figures for any of the three — only our own listed rarity and print data above.

常见问题
What is Morty’s Conviction and which set is it from?
Morty’s Conviction is a Trainer-Supporter card from the Japanese Wild Force (SV5K) set, released 26 January 2024. Playing it lets you discard one card from hand to draw cards equal to your opponent’s number of Benched Pokémon.
How many Japanese prints of Morty’s Conviction exist?
Three come from Wild Force (SV5K): the 069/071 Uncommon, the 092/071 Secret Rare, and the 097/071 Special Art Rare (SAR). Limitless TCG’s print-history record also lists reprints outside Wild Force, in Starter Decks Generations (SVM), Terastal Fest ex (SV8a), and Starter Decks 100 Battle Collection (MC).
What’s the difference between the 092/071 Secret Rare and the 097/071 SAR?
Both are secret-numbered prints beyond the set’s 071-card base run. The 092/071 Secret Rare and the 069/071 Uncommon share the same illustrator, GIDORA, while the 097/071 SAR is a separate full-scene illustration by Megumi Mizutani and sits at the highest nominal number of the three.
Is there an English version of Morty’s Conviction?
Yes. The English-set equivalent is Temporal Forces (TEF), where the card appears across three numbers — 155, 201 and 211 — spanning its own regular-to-alt-art sequence. The numbering doesn’t map one to one against the Japanese 069/092/097 sequence.
Is Karen’s Conviction the same card as Morty’s Conviction?
No. They share a “…’s Conviction” naming pattern but are different cards from different sets and eras — Karen’s Conviction is from Twin Warriors (S5a), released 19 March 2021, and features a different character entirely.
Where can I buy a PSA 10 Morty’s Conviction 097/071 SAR?
