The Pokemon Ascended Heroes ex Boxes are three products released on April 24, 2026, one each for Mega Meganium ex, Mega Emboar ex and Mega Feraligatr ex, and each box holds a foil promo card, an oversize lenticular promo card and four Ascended Heroes booster packs, according to the official pokemon.com product page.
MEGA Dream ex (M2a) is one Japanese source of Ascended Heroes, per Bulbapedia, but the three Mega ex cards themselves are not in that set. The official Pokemon Card Game database prints them in Start Deck 100 Battle Collection, as 018/742 and 761/742 for Meganium, 113/742 and 762/742 for Emboar, and 169/742 and 763/742 for Feraligatr. Bulbapedia states that Ascended Heroes draws on both Japanese products.
Our Tokyo store ships Japanese sealed product and graded singles; listing prices carry the date October 2, 2026, and dollar figures use ¥154/USD, approximate.
The English boxes are a promo-plus-packs product; the three promos, MEP 034, 035 and 036, have no Japanese print, per Bulbapedia, and the same promos reportedly reappear in Ascended Heroes Tins, so they are not box-exclusive. The Japanese cards behind the English set prints are in Start Deck 100 Battle Collection, a ¥891 random 60-card deck on the official page. The Japanese MEGA Dream ex box is offered as a Damaged Box at ¥11,977 (~$78).
Box contents and the April 24, 2026 launch come from the official pokemon.com page, Japanese card data from the official card database, and promo details from Limitless TCG and Bulbapedia.
What Is Inside an Ascended Heroes ex Box
The official page is titled Pokemon TCG: Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes Mega Meganium ex, Mega Emboar ex, and Mega Feraligatr ex Boxes and prints a launch of April 24, 2026. There is no fourth product called the Ascended Heroes ex Box; that phrase is the collective name in the page’s includes line, and the three boxes differ only in which Pokemon they feature.
The product text sets the scene around partner Pokemon and Mega Evolution. It says each box contains a playable foil promo card and an oversize lenticular card with dynamic artwork, plus four booster packs from the special Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes expansion. It describes Mega Meganium ex presenting a Giant Bouquet, Mega Emboar ex lashing out with a Crimson Blast and Mega Feraligatr ex using Mortal Crunch.
| 商品 | What the official page states |
|---|---|
| Launch | April 24, 2026 |
| Foil promo card | One, featuring Mega Meganium ex, Mega Emboar ex or Mega Feraligatr ex, depending on the box |
| Oversize lenticular promo card | One, featuring the same Pokemon |
| Booster packs | Four Pokemon TCG: Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes booster packs |
| Where sold | Pokemon Center and where Pokemon TCG products are sold |
| MSRP | No price on the page |
| Promo card numbers | Not given on the page |
| Pokemon TCG Live code card | Nothing listed |
Bulbapedia’s merchandise page (October 2, 2026) fills in the numbers: the three promos are MEP Black Star Promos 034, 035 and 036, and the lenticular card is a Jumbo version of the same card. Limitless TCG lists the same three numbers.
The Boxes Next to the Japanese M2a Box and Start Deck 100
Two Japanese products sit behind the English line, and their official pages print very different things from the English page.
| Spec | Ascended Heroes ex Box (English) | MEGA Dream ex, M2a (Japanese) | Start Deck 100 Battle Collection (Japanese) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Release (official) | April 24, 2026 | November 28, 2025 | December 19, 2025 |
| Format | Boxed set: two promo cards and four packs | Booster packs of 10 cards | One 60-card constructed deck |
| Price (official) | No MSRP on the page | ¥550 per pack, tax included | ¥891, tax included |
| Extras | Foil promo and oversize lenticular promo | None printed | Damage counter and marker sheet |
| Packs per box | Four packs in the product | Not printed on the official page | Not applicable |
| Which cards inside | Four packs of the Ascended Heroes expansion | Random | Random: the page says every deck holds at least two Pokemon ex |
| Set size | Over 290 cards (official expansion page) | 250 cards in the official database, numbered over 193 | 742 is the printed denominator on the cards |
Ascended Heroes itself is an English expansion with its own release: the official page gives January 30, 2026 and a card count of over 290, and Limitless TCG lists 295 cards. The ex Boxes arrived on April 24, 2026, several months after the set, so a collector comparing release dates is comparing a product launch with an expansion launch.
Bulbapedia’s set page (September 30, 2026) states that Ascended Heroes includes cards from the Japanese MEGA Dream ex subset and the Start Deck 100 Battle Collection. That sentence links the two at set level; the card-level pairs come from Bulbapedia’s card pages and from Limitless TCG.
The Three Promo Cards: MEP 034, 035 and 036
As of October 2, 2026, Limitless TCG lists the three promos as Stage 2 Pokemon in regulation mark J, credited to 5ban Graphics (MEP 034 and MEP 036) and Keisuke Azuma (MEP 035). Bulbapedia’s card pages say that each promo is a print of the Regular card with alternate artwork, and that a Jumbo lenticular version of the same card is packed in the box.
| 原盒 | Promo | Type and HP (Limitless) | Illustrator (Limitless) | Japanese print of the promo art |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mega Meganium ex Box | MEP 034 | Grass, 360 HP | 5ban Graphics | None, per Bulbapedia |
| Mega Emboar ex Box | MEP 035 | Fire, 380 HP | Keisuke Azuma | None, per Bulbapedia |
| Mega Feraligatr ex Box | MEP 036 | Water, 370 HP | 5ban Graphics | None, per Bulbapedia |
For Meganium and Feraligatr the promo credits 5ban Graphics, the same credit as the Regular print, and Bulbapedia still calls the promo an alternate artwork print. For Emboar the promo credits Keisuke Azuma while the Regular print credits 5ban Graphics. A shared credit therefore does not make the promo and the set print the same card.
Bulbapedia also says the three promos were reused: its merchandise page describes a set of three Ascended Heroes Tins released on August 28, 2026 that contained the standard-size promo cards from these boxes, each with four Ascended Heroes booster packs. That is reported by Bulbapedia, not confirmed on a pokemon.com page, but it matters for a buyer: the promos are not described as box-exclusive. Our Ascended Heroes Tin, Poster and Pin Collection comparison covers that range.
Mega Meganium ex: Promo, English Prints and the Japanese Start Deck 100 Cards
Limitless TCG lists two Ascended Heroes prints of Mega Meganium ex: ASC 10, a Double Rare credited to 5ban Graphics, and ASC 272, a Special Art Rare credited to Tika Matsuno. The official Japanese database lists two cards under the name メガメガニウムex, both in the MC set: 018/742 credited to 5ban Graphics and 761/742 credited to Tika Matsuno. Each pair carries the same illustrator credit.

The database prints a 2 Stage Pokemon with 360 HP, Grass type, with a Fire weakness (×2), no resistance and a retreat cost of 2. Its single attack is ジャイアントブーケ, 70+ damage, with the effect of adding 50 damage for each Grass Energy attached (rendering). The special rule on the card says that when a Mega Evolution ex is Knocked Out, the opponent takes 3 Prize cards (rendering). The evolution line is Chikorita, Bayleef, Meganium.
The database shows no rarity icon on any MC row. SNKRDUNK labels 761/742 “SAR仕様” in its own listing title and Bulbapedia calls the English ASC 272 a special illustration rare print; those are the sources of the rarity language, not the Japanese card.
| SNKRDUNK listing title | Lowest ask on SNKRDUNK, October 2, 2026 | PSA 10 tier ask, same date |
|---|---|---|
| メガメガニウムex [MC 018/742] | ¥1,000 (~$6) (display floor) | No listing |
| メガメガニウムex :ミラー [MC 018/742] | ¥1,199 (~$8) | No listing |
| メガメガニウムex SAR仕様 [MC 761/742] | ¥9,300 (~$60) | ¥15,400 (~$100) |
The Japanese MC 761/742 in PSA 10 is offered as a PSA 10 back order at ¥15,877 (~$103) — sourced to order; the product page shows the current terms. How the route works is in our PSA 10 back orders guide. No listing exists for MC 018/742 or for the MEP 034 promo.

Mega Emboar ex: Promo, English Prints and the Japanese Start Deck 100 Cards
The Emboar line follows the same pattern with different credits. Limitless lists ASC 31, a Double Rare credited to 5ban Graphics, and ASC 273, a Special Art Rare credited to nagimiso. The official Japanese database lists メガエンブオーex as MC 113/742 (5ban Graphics) and MC 762/742 (nagimiso), again with matching credits on each pair.

The Japanese card is a 2 Stage Pokemon with 380 HP, Fire type, a Water weakness (×2), no resistance and a retreat cost of 4. Its attack, クリムゾンボム, costs two Fire Energy and one Colorless and does 320 damage, with an effect that deals 60 damage to this Pokemon as well (rendering). The evolution line is Tepig, Pignite, Emboar. The Mega Emboar ex promo MEP 035 is the odd one among the three, since its credit, Keisuke Azuma, differs from both the Regular print and the Start Deck 100 card.
| SNKRDUNK listing title | Lowest ask on SNKRDUNK, October 2, 2026 | PSA 10 tier ask, same date |
|---|---|---|
| メガエンブオーex :ミラー [MC 113/742] | ¥1,000 (~$6) (display floor) | ¥10,000 (~$65) |
| メガエンブオーex SAR仕様 [MC 762/742] | ¥5,000 (~$32) | ¥10,500 (~$68) |
The PSA 10 of MC 762/742 is offered as a PSA 10 back order at ¥11,118 (~$72).

Mega Feraligatr ex: Promo, English Prints and the Japanese Start Deck 100 Cards
For Feraligatr, Limitless lists ASC 43, a Double Rare credited to 5ban Graphics, and ASC 274, a Special Art Rare credited to Souichirou Gunjima. The official database prints メガオーダイルex as MC 169/742 (5ban Graphics) and MC 763/742 (Souichirou Gunjima). The Japanese name is オーダイル, which is the Japanese form of Feraligatr.

The card is a 2 Stage Pokemon with 370 HP, Water type, an Electric weakness (×2), no resistance and a retreat cost of 3. Its attack, キラークランチ, costs two Water Energy and one Colorless and does 200+ damage, adding 200 more if the opponent’s Active Pokemon has damage counters on it (rendering). The evolution line is Totodile, Croconaw, Feraligatr.
| SNKRDUNK listing title | Lowest ask on SNKRDUNK, October 2, 2026 | PSA 10 tier ask, same date |
|---|---|---|
The physical PSA 10 Mega Feraligatr ex MC 763/742 is offered at ¥25,362 (~$165); the back order for that card is offered at ¥22,025 (~$143).

English and Japanese Prints Paired by Illustrator Credit
The sources support one kind of pairing: a shared illustrator credit between an English print on Limitless TCG and a Japanese print in the official database. That is a credit match. No source states that the English and Japanese images are identical, and Bulbapedia reports no Japanese print of the promos. Six Japanese MC prints (018, 761, 113, 762, 169 and 763 of 742) pair with six English prints (ASC 10, 272, 31, 273, 43 and 274).
| Pokemon | English print (Limitless) | Credit | Japanese print (official database) | Credit match |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mega Meganium ex | ASC 10, Double Rare | 5ban Graphics | MC 018/742 | Same illustrator credit |
| Mega Meganium ex | ASC 272, Special Art Rare | Tika Matsuno | MC 761/742 | Same illustrator credit |
| Mega Emboar ex | ASC 31, Double Rare | 5ban Graphics | MC 113/742 | Same illustrator credit |
| Mega Emboar ex | ASC 273, Special Art Rare | nagimiso | MC 762/742 | Same illustrator credit |
| Mega Feraligatr ex | ASC 43, Double Rare | 5ban Graphics | MC 169/742 | Same illustrator credit |
| Mega Feraligatr ex | ASC 274, Special Art Rare | Souichirou Gunjima | MC 763/742 | Same illustrator credit |
| Mega Meganium ex | MEP 034 promo | 5ban Graphics | No Japanese print | Bulbapedia: alternate artwork |
| Mega Emboar ex | MEP 035 promo | Keisuke Azuma | No Japanese print | Bulbapedia: alternate artwork |
| Mega Feraligatr ex | MEP 036 promo | 5ban Graphics | No Japanese print | Bulbapedia: alternate artwork |
Rarity names also differ by source. Limitless calls the English 272, 273 and 274 Special Art Rare, and the SAR label on the Japanese cards comes from SNKRDUNK’s titles. The English set numbers, written with a denominator of 217, are Bulbapedia’s.
The Japanese Start Deck 100 Battle Collection Itself
The official pokemon-card.com page for the product gives a release of Friday, December 19, 2025 and a price of ¥891 with tax. Each product is one 60-card deck, with a damage counter and marker sheet, and the page says the decks hold repeated cards because of their constructed nature. It says each of the 100 decks is different in Pokemon and play style, that every deck contains at least two Pokemon ex, and that two or more decks are needed to play.
Which of the 100 decks is in a given box is not printed on the page, so a buyer looking for a Mega Meganium ex, Mega Emboar ex or Mega Feraligatr ex should treat the deck as a chance, not a promise. The deck we sell is listed as ¥1,218 (~$8) and is a random 60-card deck.

A buyer who wants a specific one of the six prints has two routes: a graded single, such as the PSA 10 back orders for MC 761, 762 and 763, or a sourcing request through 快速訂購. Our Start Deck 100 Battle Collection guide covers the full product.
The Japanese MEGA Dream ex (M2a) Box
The official M2a page gives a price of ¥550 per pack with tax, ten 張/包 and a release of Friday, November 28, 2025. As of September 30, 2026, the official card database returns 250 cards for the set with a printed set size of 193, and the 57 cards numbered beyond 193 split into AR 20, SR 9, MA 10, SAR 17 and MUR 1, which adds up to 57 and, together with the 193 numbered cards, to the 250 total. The page names Mega Dragonite ex among its featured cards; Mega Meganium ex, Mega Emboar ex and Mega Feraligatr ex have database rows only in Start Deck 100.
What the English boxes share with M2a is the expansion they draw on: Bulbapedia says Ascended Heroes includes cards from the MEGA Dream ex subset and from Start Deck 100.
| 商品 | Our listing |
|---|---|
| M2a box, Damaged Box | ¥11,977 (~$78) |
| M2a box, No Shrink Damaged Box (separate product) | ¥11,490 (~$75) |
| M2a box, No Shrink option | ¥12,936 (~$84) |
The SNKRDUNK product page shows a lowest ask of ¥12,500 (~$81) for the sealed M2a box and ¥10,799 (~$70) for the No Shrink box, both as of October 2, 2026. The Sealed option of our standard box is sold out at the time of this update — restock requests go through 快速訂購.
The Damaged Box and the No Shrink Damaged Box are separate products with their own terms, not options of the standard box. The set’s numbering is on our MEGA Dream ex card list, and the older write-ups are the MEGA Dream ex complete guide and the Ascended Heroes Japanese card list.

Buying Checklist: English ex Box or Japanese Counterparts
Five checks apply to purchases in this line.
- Decide whether you want the promo. The MEP promos come in the English boxes, and Bulbapedia reports the Tins too. Bulbapedia reports no Japanese print of that artwork.
- Read the number and the denominator. The Japanese cards are MC numbers over 742; the English prints are Ascended Heroes numbers. The promo is MEP 034, 035 or 036.
- Match the credit, not just the name. A shared credit is not evidence that two cards show the same image.
- Check the product type. A Damaged Box, a No Shrink Damaged Box and the standard M2a box are separate products, and a Start Deck 100 box is one random deck.
- Date every ask. A SNKRDUNK figure is an asking price on one day, and a ¥1,000 entry is its display floor.
Where to Buy the Japanese Counterparts from Japan
The English ex Boxes are sold at the Pokemon Center and where Pokemon TCG products are sold, per the official page. We ship the Japanese side from Tokyo:
- M2a MEGA Dream ex box, Damaged Box: currently listed at ¥11,977 (~$78); the No Shrink Damaged Box is a separate product currently listed at ¥11,490 (~$75).
- MEGA Start Deck 100 Battle Collection: currently listed at ¥1,218 (~$8).
- Graded singles: the PSA 10 Mega Meganium ex (MC 761/742) is offered as a PSA 10 back order at ¥15,877 (~$103), the Mega Emboar ex (MC 762/742) at ¥11,118 (~$72) and the Mega Feraligatr ex (MC 763/742) at ¥22,025 (~$143); the physical PSA 10 Mega Feraligatr ex is currently listed at ¥25,362 (~$165).
More Mega series boxes are in the Pokemon card box collection, graded cards are in the PSA 10 collection and the numbering is on the M2a card list. For the rest of the English range, see our Ascended Heroes ETB comparison, the Booster Bundle and Booster Box comparison, the chase cards and their Japanese prints, every Mega Emboar ex print and every Mega Feraligatr ex print. 常見問題
What is in a Pokemon Ascended Heroes ex Box?
每盒包含 one foil promo card and one oversize lenticular promo card of the same Mega ex Pokemon, plus four Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes booster packs, per the official pokemon.com page. The three boxes feature Mega Meganium ex, Mega Emboar ex and Mega Feraligatr ex; no MSRP or code card is listed.
When did the Ascended Heroes ex Boxes release?
The official pokemon.com page prints a launch of April 24, 2026 for all three boxes. The Ascended Heroes expansion itself launched earlier, on January 30, 2026, per its official page. The Japanese MEGA Dream ex (M2a) set released on November 28, 2025, and Start Deck 100 on December 19, 2025.
What promo cards come in the Ascended Heroes ex Boxes?
Limitless TCG lists MEP 034 Mega Meganium ex (5ban Graphics), MEP 035 Mega Emboar ex (Keisuke Azuma) and MEP 036 Mega Feraligatr ex (5ban Graphics). Bulbapedia calls each an alternate artwork print and reports no Japanese print, and reports the same promos in Ascended Heroes Tins from August 28, 2026.
Are the Ascended Heroes ex Box promos the same as the Japanese MEGA Dream ex cards?
No Japanese print of the promo artwork is reported. The Japanese Mega Meganium, Emboar and Feraligatr ex cards are in Start Deck 100 Battle Collection, not MEGA Dream ex, as 018 and 761, 113 and 762, and 169 and 763 of 742. Their credits match the English set prints.
How much does the Japanese MEGA Dream ex box cost?
The official page prints ¥550 per pack, tax included, and does not print a pack count per box. Our M2a Damaged Box is currently listed at ¥11,977 (~$78), a separate product from the standard box. The lowest ask on SNKRDUNK, October 2, 2026, for the sealed box was ¥12,500 (~$81).
How much is the Start Deck 100 Battle Collection?
The official pokemon-card.com page prints ¥891 with tax for one 60-card deck, released December 19, 2025, and says every deck contains at least two Pokemon ex. Which deck is in a box is not printed. Our MEGA Start Deck 100 Battle Collection is currently listed at ¥1,218 (~$8).
Can I get the Japanese Mega Feraligatr ex as a PSA 10?
The PSA 10 Mega Feraligatr ex MC 763/742 is offered as a PSA 10 back order at ¥22,025 (~$143). The Meganium MC 761/742 and Emboar MC 762/742 are offered the same way, and other prints can be requested through 快速訂購.
Are the three promo cards box-exclusive?
Not according to Bulbapedia. Its merchandise page reports Ascended Heroes Tins released on August 28, 2026 that contained the standard-size promos previously released in the three boxes. That is reported, not confirmed on a pokemon.com page, so a buyer should not treat the boxes as the only source of MEP 034 to 036.
