Key Facts: What Do You Need to Know About OP-17 at a Glance?

The table below lists the facts most collectors look up first, each linked to an official page or to our own product page.

What Is OP-17, and What Does „op 17“ Mean?

„op 17“ is how most collectors type the set code OP-17, the seventeenth numbered booster set of the ONE PIECE CARD GAME. The official English name is The World’s Strongest Warriors. In Japan it is 世界最強の戦士, and our product page gives the romanized name as Sekai Saikyo no Senshi.

The set is built around the Elbaf arc and the Four Emperors. The official Japanese announcement says the Straw Hat Pirates appear in their Elbaf-arc outfits, that the Four Emperors appear as leader cards, and that many members of each pirate crew are included. It also says Rocks D. Xebec appears in the card game for the first time (one-piece.com announcement). The Bandai catalog entry describes the card game as landing on Elbaf, with big battles built from the lineup and card effects (Bandai).

The same announcement positions OP-17 as the product for the card game’s 4th anniversary. That matches our own box listing, which calls it the fourth-anniversary set tied to Elbaf and the Four Emperors.

Spellings differ between sites. The Japanese official page uses the title ブースターパック 世界最強の戦士, and Bandai uses ONE PIECEカードゲーム 世界最強の戦士【OP-17】. All of them point to the same set. The part that matters when you shop is the edition: English and Asia English editions of OP-17 exist alongside the Japanese one, so look for the words „Japanese edition“ on the listing.

This article is a map rather than a full reference. It covers the facts that decide what you buy, and it hands the card-by-card detail to the guides listed further down, so you do not have to read the same card numbers in five places.

Which OP-17 Edition Are You Looking At: Japanese, Asia English or English?

The three editions share a set name and the same 131+4 card type total, but they differ in language, release date and printed price. The Japanese edition is priced in yen in Japan, and the English edition is the one with a published USD price per pack.

The practical difference is the language printed on the cards. A Japanese edition box contains Japanese cards. Details can also differ between regional pages: the official English page notes that illustrations and product details may differ from the final product, and the US and Asia pages disagree on one Super alt-art number (covered below). Check the official page for the edition you buy.

If this choice is your main question, our OP-17 Japanese vs English comparison goes through dates, prices and which version to buy.

When Was OP-17 Released in Japan and in English?

The Japanese edition of OP-17 was released on August 22, 2026, a Saturday, and the English edition followed on August 28, 2026 after a pre-release on August 21. The Japanese date comes from one-piece.com and the Bandai catalog. The English dates come from the official English product page.

Bandai adds a note to its own date: the planned release date may differ by region and by store. Treat the dates above as the official schedule, not as a statement about any particular shop’s shelf.

The English page also says cards in this product are legal from the pre-release date at your local game store. A pre-release is therefore tied to organized play at stores and is not the same thing as the general release. For how the English schedule and the store events fit together, read our OP-17 English release date and pre-release guide.

What Is Inside an OP-17 Booster Box and Pack?

A Japanese OP-17 booster box holds 24 booster packs, and each pack holds 6 cards, drawn from 131+4 card types in total. The box figure comes from our product page, and the pack figure from the official Asia English page, which lists „1 pack: 6 cards (total 131+4 types)“.

The official English page lists these rarity groups: Special Cards, Treasure Rare, Leader Cards, Secret Rares, Super Rares, Rares, Uncommons, Commons and DON!! Cards. It does not publish how many of each appear per box, so this article gives no pull-rate numbers.

The card slot numbers are plain arithmetic from the official pack size and the box and carton counts on our pages. They say nothing about how many different cards you will see.

One line from the official page is worth reading before you buy: due to the nature of the product, multiples of one card may appear, or it may be difficult to assemble a full set. A sealed booster box is a random product. Our product page says the same: the cards in each box are packed at random at the factory, and individual card pulls are not promised.

At the Japanese retail price of JPY 240 including tax per pack, 24 packs add up to JPY 5,760. That is arithmetic from the official pack price, not a price for our box. Our product page shows its own pricing and confirms it at checkout. The English page lists a manufacturer’s suggested price of USD $4.99 per pack for the English edition.

Which OP-17 Product Fits Your Plan: Box, Carton, Damaged Box, Collection or Event?

Choose a single booster box for a standard sealed unit, a carton for 12 boxes at once, and a Damaged Box only if you accept cosmetic damage and a no-returns sale. The Super Premium Collection and the 4th Anniversary Event are separate products with their own contents.

Booster box

The OP-17 Japanese booster box is described as brand new and sealed, with 24 packs of 6 cards and a Japanese release date of August 22, 2026. It ships from our Tokyo warehouse by FedEx, and our page says each shipment includes tracking and insurance. Pricing and availability are shown on the page and confirmed at checkout.

Karton

The OP-17 carton listing is one full carton, or case, of 12 Japanese OP-17 booster boxes. It ships as the carton itself, not as 12 individual boxes. If you are unsure whether a carton suits you, our OP-17 case buying guide compares box and case.

Damaged Box

The Damaged Box listing (Update: derzeit ausverkauft — Nachschub über Quick Order anfragen) is an unopened OP-17 booster box with damage to the outer box, such as dents, crushed corners, creased edges or scuffs. The page says the cards inside are unaffected, that the photos are samples, and that the item you receive may differ from them. It is sold as-is at a discount, and the page states that returns and refunds are not accepted. Read that page in full before you order.

Super Premium Collection and the 4th Anniversary Event

The Super Premium Collection vol.1 is listed on the Asia English site with a release date of November 13, 2026. Its contents are Booster Pack [OP-17] x 24, Promotion Card x 2 (2 types), Metal Card x 2 (2 types) and Card Sleeves x 70 (1 type). It is a different product from a booster box because it adds promo cards, metal cards and sleeves.

The 4th Anniversary Event (OP-17 Release Event) ran from August 21 to September 13, 2026, with store applications open from August 7, 2026. Prizes included a 4th Anniversary Tournament Pack (75 types in total), a 4th Anniversary Leader Card (P-110 Monkey.D.Luffy is shown) and World United DON!! Cards in two designs. These were event prizes and were not part of a booster box.

Which OP-17 Cards Do the Official Pages Name?

The official English page names the four Yonko leaders, the Super Leader alt-art Luffy, four Super alt-art cards, Loki, and Rocks D. Xebec. Our box page lists Loki, Shanks, Kaido and the other Four Emperors-era leaders as the main early collector watch points. This section stays short on purpose, because the card guides below cover each card in depth.

The Yonko leaders

The source is the official English product page. For effects and parallels of every leader, see our OP-17 leader cards guide.

The featured Luffy and the Super alt-art cards

The featured card on the official page is OP17-079 Monkey.D.Luffy, shown as a Super Leader Alt-Art. The same page lists four Super Alt-Art cards: OP17-005, OP17-022, OP17-062 and OP17-112. The Asia English page presents OP17-022, OP17-005, OP17-063 and OP17-112 as Super alt-art cards of the Four Emperors, and notes that the US page lists OP17-062 where the Asia page lists OP17-063. The two official pages disagree on that one number, so check against the page for your region.

Straw Hat crew, Rocks Pirates and Loki

The official page groups many cards by crew. The Straw Hat group includes OP17-119 Loki, OP17-095 Roronoa Zoro, OP17-086 Nami, OP17-080 Usopp, OP17-082 Sanji, OP17-084 Tony Tony.Chopper, OP17-087 Nico Robin, OP17-090 Franky, OP17-091 Brook and OP17-083 Jinbe. The Rocks Pirates group includes OP17-118 Rocks.D.Xebec, OP17-040 Edward.Newgate, OP17-041 Wang Zhi, OP17-042 Kaido, OP17-043 Ganzui, OP17-044 Captain John, OP17-045 Kyo, OP17-046 Gloriosa, OP17-048 Shiki, OP17-049 Charlotte Linlin, OP17-050 Streusen, OP17-052 Don Marlon, OP17-053 Barbel and OP17-054 Miss Buckingham Stussy.

That is the set of cards the official page chose to highlight, not the full card list.

Which Detailed OP-17 Guide Answers Your Question?

Pick the guide that matches your question: card lists for numbers and rarities, chase and price articles for the hit cards, and buying guides for box decisions. Each article below covers one slice of OP-17 in more depth than this overview.

Card totals can look inconsistent across articles. Our card list articles count 119 cards, while the official pages give 131+4 types in total. When numbers differ, use the official count for the total and the list articles for card-by-card detail.

How Does Shipping Work for an OP-17 Order From Tokyo?

Our OP-17 products ship from Tokyo by FedEx with a tracking number, and our shipping policy sets out two services with no minimum order amount or quantity.

The policy labels these transit times as estimates only, not fixed delivery dates. It also says delivery estimates do not include our handling time, supplier allocation delays, quality inspection holds, weekends, Japanese national holidays, customs processing, carrier congestion, weather or destination-country delivery conditions.

Handling time is separate. According to the policy, most orders are processed and shipped within 5 business days after PayPal or Wise payment has cleared, and that window is an estimate. Business days exclude weekends and Japanese national holidays. If dispatch is delayed, the policy says we will contact you by email as soon as practical with a revised estimate, and for significant delays before handoff to FedEx we may offer the option to wait or to cancel with a full refund.

Two practical points: FedEx cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes, so give a physical address at checkout, and once an order is with FedEx, customs inspections, import procedures and carrier events can delay delivery. Those transit delays are outside our control and do not by themselves create a right to cancel or refund after dispatch. You can check order status and the tracking number from your customer account or the shipping confirmation email.

Before the shipment is scheduled you can update the shipping address yourself under My Account, Orders. The destination country cannot be changed, and the shipping method stays as selected at checkout.

How Do You Pay for an OP-17 Order?

You can pay by Wise bank transfer, PayPal, or credit and debit card through PayPal, and every payment is made in Japanese yen. The details are on our payment methods page.

The page states that Wise bank transfer is the only method without the 5% fee. It also says exchange-rate differences and conversion fees between the yen amount and your statement are set by your payment provider and are outside our control. PayPal Pay Later may appear at checkout in some countries, but PayPal decides whether it is offered and on what terms.

What Should You Check Before Ordering OP-17?

Check five things before you order: the edition, the random nature of the product, the condition of the listing, the timing estimates, and your payment method.

• Edition. The OP-17 listings on our site are Japanese language edition products. The English edition has different dates and an official USD pack price.
• Randomness. Cards are packed at random, and the official page says multiples of one card may appear. No one can name a specific card in advance from a sealed box.
• Zustand. Standard box listings are brand new and sealed. The Damaged Box listing is sold as-is with cosmetic damage and no returns or refunds.
• Timing. Allow for handling of about 5 business days after payment clears, then FedEx transit, which the policy puts at usually 3-7 business days (standard) or 2-5 business days (expedited). Both are estimates.
• Payment. Wise has no processing fee, and PayPal and card payments carry the 5% fee. SWIFT transfers need the JPY 611 receiving fee added.

If you collect for play rather than sealed storage, remember the official note: cards are legal from the pre-release date at your local game store. If you collect for display, think about how you will store a sealed box, since a crushed corner is exactly what the Damaged Box listing discounts.

What Is the Bottom Line on OP-17?

OP-17 The World’s Strongest Warriors is a 4th anniversary set built around the Four Emperors and the Elbaf arc, released in Japan on August 22, 2026 and in English on August 28, 2026. A Japanese box holds 24 packs of 6 cards, and the official card total is 131+4 types.

The names that define the set on the official pages are the four Yonko leaders, the Super Leader Alt-Art OP17-079 Luffy, the Super alt-art cards, Loki, and the debut of Rocks.D.Xebec. Everything beyond those names is a random pull, so buy a sealed box for the experience of opening it. Open the OP-17 booster box page for listing details, or the carton page if you want the full case.
