What Is the Rayquaza EX 154/103 Reprint?
The official card list for 30th CELEBRATION (M6a) was published on 9 September 2026 and covers the main set 001–103, the Classic Collection 136–165, and the eight Basic Energy. Rayquaza EX 154/103 sits inside that officially listed Classic Collection block — a run of 30 reprints, numbered 136 through 165, that Pokémon’s card database marks with a “C”-style symbol beside the M6a set code. Per the official caveat that applies to the whole block, Classic Collection cards are not usable under the current Standard regulation; they remain legal only in whatever format the original printing is legal in.
The reprint’s credited illustrator, per the official database, is Eske Yoshinob — the same illustrator credited on the original 2012 regular print. That match is confirmed for the regular print specifically; the 2012 set’s alternate Full Art version used a different illustrator (5ban Graphics), so the 30th reprint’s artwork lines up with the standard 2012 Rayquaza-EX, not the Full Art chase card.

The card 154/103 reprints is Rayquaza-EX from Dragons Exalted, card 85 of 124, released in English on 15 August 2012. A Full Art print (123/124) and a BW Black Star Promo (BW47, September 2012) also exist from the same era. On the Japanese side, Bulbapedia traces the card to the “Dragon Blade” expansion; the exact Japanese card number in that expansion isn’t confirmed in the sources we checked, so we’re leaving it unverified rather than guessing.

As a Pokémon-EX, the card carries the era’s standard EX rule: the opponent takes two Prize cards instead of one when it’s Knocked Out. Why Rayquaza-EX Is in the Classic Collection
Pokémon’s official communication around the Classic Collection describes the block only as 特別仕様 (“special specification”) treatment; it doesn’t publish a card-by-card rationale for why any individual card was chosen. What we can point to, sourced directly to Bulbapedia’s card-history notes, is that this Dragon Burst attack mechanic “first appeared on” an earlier Rayquaza card from the EX Dragon set — meaning the 2012 Dragons Exalted print reprised, rather than introduced, one of the franchise’s more recognisable Rayquaza attack effects. Bulbapedia also notes a Japanese promotional version of this same 2012-era Rayquaza-EX, awarded at the 2013 Pokémon Game Show, that is “rather elusive with only eight total copies” — a data point about the card’s collecting history, not a claim about the 30th reprint’s own scarcity.
Whatever Pokémon’s internal selection logic was, the practical result is that 154/103 puts a well-known Dragon-type EX attacker from the 2012 Black & White era back into current packs, in the same special finish as the other 29 Classic Collection cards.

SNKRDUNK — a Japanese resale marketplace — showed the following lowest live asking prices for Rayquaza EX cards as of 11 September 2026 (any condition; asks are seller listings, not sales). From the Japanese “Dragon Blade” expansion referenced as this print’s JP origin: ¥49,800 for the 1st Edition SR (BW5-O 053/050, 14 listings), against a single ¥4,000,000 listing for the non-1st-edition SR of the same card (1 listing — a thin, single-seller price). From the later XY-era reprint of Rayquaza-EX (XY 019/048), the lowest ask was ¥3,980 (40 listings), with the Mega Rayquaza-EX from the same reprint run (XY 020/048) asking ¥9,800 (40 listings).
None of these figures describe 154/103 — M6a single cards have no live asks yet, since the set hasn’t released.
M6a 30th CELEBRATION: Release Format
