OP-13 Release Date: Japanese Aug 23, 2025 and English Nov 7, 2025

The OP-13 release date was August 23, 2025 (Saturday) for the Japanese edition of ONE PIECE CARD GAME BOOSTER PACK « Carrying on His Will » [OP-13], and November 7, 2025 for the English edition. The release dates come from Bandai’s official pages, linked in the table below; the box-contents row links our own product listing.

Updated November 5, 2026

What is OP-13 and when did it come out?

OP-13 is the One Piece Card Game booster set called 受け継がれる意志 in Japan and « Carrying on His Will » in English, released in Japan on August 23, 2025. The table below lists the exact entity so there is no mix-up between editions, and every row links to the page it comes from.

This guide covers the dates first, then what the set contains, then the order, shipping and payment terms for a Japanese box from Tokyo. If you are choosing between editions, the key point is that the Japanese and English editions have separate official pages with different dates.

What is the OP-13 release date in Japan?

The Japanese edition of OP-13 was released on August 23, 2025, which Bandai’s Japanese product page lists as a Saturday. That page is the primary source for the Japanese release, the card count and the pack price.

The same official page states that one pack contains 6 cards and that cards are randomly packed. It lists the product as 全132種 + 1種, meaning 132 card types plus one additional type. The pack price is given as 220 yen with tax included. That is a manufacturer’s suggested retail price per pack, not a price from our shop.

Two other dated items appear on the Japanese page. A card text typo correction and apology was posted on August 18, 2025. A Premium Bandai lottery sales application period is listed as December 18 to December 24, 2025. This article does not guess at any dates beyond those the pages state.

If you buy a Japanese box from us, you are buying the Japanese original edition. The product page describes it as « Édition originale japonaise, ONE PIECE CARD GAME Booster Pack », with 24 booster packs per box and 6 cartes par pack, which makes 144 cards in au total par boîte. You can see the listing at the OP-13 Carrying on His Will Japanese booster box page (mise à jour : épuisé — demande de réassort via Quick Order).

What is the OP-13 release date for the English edition?

The English edition of OP-13 was released on November 7, 2025, according to Bandai’s English product page. The Japanese edition came out on August 23, 2025, so the English page gives a later date.

The English page lists the name as BOOSTER PACK -CARRYING ON HIS WILL- [OP-13] and gives an MSRP of USD $4.99 per pack. It states 133+1 card types and does not state the pack or box configuration. The Asia-English page is a separate official page: it gives August 23, 2025, the same day as Japan, and 132+1 card types. It does not list a price.

So when people search for « op 13 release date », there are three official answers depending on the region page you read. The table below puts them side by side.

Edition / site Release date Card types stated Pack price stated
Japanese (onepiece-cardgame.com) August 23, 2025 132 + 1 220 yen (tax included)
Asia-English August 23, 2025 132 + 1 Not on the page
English November 7, 2025 133 + 1 USD $4.99

The difference between 132+1 and 133+1 is shown on the pages as written. This article does not explain it, because the pages used here do not. If you need an exact card list for a specific edition, check the official card list for that edition.

When did OP-13 cards become tournament legal?

Bandai’s English page says OP-13 cards are tournament legal starting 7 days after the release date in your region. The exact wording is: « Cards included in this product will be tournament legal starting 7 days after the release date in your region. »

That rule means the release date and the legal date are different things. The table applies the 7-day rule to the English edition release date. The « seven days later » column is our own date calculation, not an extra date published by Bandai. The Japanese and Asia-English pages used for this article do not state this rule, so we do not apply it to them.

Region page Release date Seven days later (our calculation)
English November 7, 2025 November 14, 2025

For event formats, banned or restricted lists, and any question about which date applies to you, use Bandai’s official rules pages. We do not cover those here.

What is inside OP-13 and its booster box?

OP-13 has 132 card types plus one on the Japanese and Asia-English pages, and our Japanese booster box contains 24 packs of 6 cards each, 144 cards per box. The rarity split below comes from the Japanese and Asia-English official pages.

Rarity Number of types
Leader 6
Common 45
Uncommon 30
Rare 26
Super Rare 10
Secret Rare 3
Special Card 10
3rd Anniversary Special Card 2
Total 132

The rows add up to 132, which matches the stated count. The « +1 » is listed separately on the pages and is not broken out in the rarity table. Source: Japanese official page and Asia-English official page.

The official pages list six Leaders: OP13-001 Monkey D. Luffy, OP13-002 Portgas D. Ace, OP13-003 Gol D. Roger, OP13-004 Sabo, OP13-079 Imu and OP13-100 Jewelry Bonney. Our own product listing describes the set with « 8 Leader Cards », which differs from the official count. If you are building a deck or checking a list, go by the official page figure of 6.

The English page also names five cards in a « Five Elders » group: OP13-080 St. Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro, OP13-083 St. Jaygarcia Saturn, OP13-084 St. Shepherd Ju Peter, OP13-089 St. Topman Warcury and OP13-091 St. Marcus Mars.

A sealed box is a randomized product. Our listing says the specific cards in each box are randomly packed at the factory and that individual card pulls are not guaranteed. Bandai’s pages also note that multiples of one card may appear, so a full set may be difficult to assemble.

The only price figure Bandai gives on the Japanese page is the per-pack MSRP of 220 yen. The pages used for this article give no box price, so use the product page for the current listing price of our box.

Which OP-13 cards do the official pages name?

The official pages name the « Three Brothers » cards OP13-118 Luffy, OP13-119 Ace and OP13-120 Sabo, each with a Super Parallel version and a Red Super Parallel version. The Japanese page says the Red version is limited to this set.

The English page words this as Super Alt-Art and Red Super Alt-Art for OP13-118, OP13-119 and OP13-120, with the Red Super Alt-Art exclusive to this pack. The images below show OP13-118, OP13-119 and OP13-120 card images from our site.

Other special items named by Bandai:

  • Event parallel: OP13-076 (神避 in Japanese, « Divine Departure » in English).
  • Wanted Poster Edition (Japanese page) / WANTED Edition (English page), 4 cards: OP09-118 Gol.D.Roger, OP13-118, OP13-119 and OP13-120.
  • Character Edition, 6 cards: EB02-028 Portgas.D.Ace, OP07-111 Lilith, OP07-118 Sabo, OP09-009 Benn.Beckman, OP09-119 Monkey.D.Luffy and OP10-030 Smoker.

Our box listing names Portgas D. Ace, Sabo, Monkey D. Luffy and Kozuki Momonosuke as key cards, and mentions alt-art parallel cards. For card-level detail, see our Monkey D. Luffy OP13-118 guide and our Portgas D. Ace OP13-119 guide.

Which dated notices and errata did Bandai post for OP-13?

Bandai’s pages list a card text typo correction on August 18, 2025 (before the Japanese release), errata notices on October 24 and October 30, 2025 on the English page, and a Premium Bandai lottery application period in December 2025. The table places these notices and the two release dates in order.

The pages give the notice dates for OP13-077 and OP13-119, but this article does not describe what the corrections say. Read Bandai’s own notice before you rely on the text of either card.

The Japanese page also says images and specifications may differ from the actual product, and the English page says illustrations and details may differ from the final product.

How does buying an OP-13 box from Tokyo work?

You order the Japanese OP-13 booster box on our site, pay in Japanese yen, and we ship from Tokyo by FedEx; most orders are processed and shipped within 5 business days after PayPal or Wise payment has cleared. That handling window is an estimate, not a guarantee. All figures below are from our shipping policy and payment methods page.

Step What the policy says
Handling time Most orders are processed and shipped within 5 business days after PayPal or Wise payment has cleared. This is an estimate only. Business days exclude weekends and Japanese national holidays.
Standard shipping FedEx International Connect Plus, with tracking number. FedEx transit time after dispatch is usually 3-7 business days. This is an estimate only.
Expedited shipping FedEx International Priority, with tracking number. Transit time after dispatch is usually 2-5 business days, also an estimate only.
Shipping cost Calculated automatically at checkout based on your delivery address.
Minimum order No minimum order amount or quantity.
Adresse FedEx cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes. Provide a physical address.

The policy states that delivery dates shown on the site, at checkout or in carrier tools are estimates only. They do not include handling time, pre-order release timing, weekends, Japanese national holidays, customs processing, carrier congestion, weather or destination-country conditions. After an order is handed to FedEx, timing is controlled by the carrier and destination-country authorities, and customs inspections can delay delivery. Those delays are outside our control.

The policy says stock levels for sealed Japanese trading card products fluctuate frequently and, in some cases, dispatch may take longer than the standard handling time. If dispatch is delayed, for example because of supplier allocation changes or a reserved unit failing quality inspection, the policy says we will contact you by email as soon as practical with the revised estimate. For significant dispatch delays before handoff to FedEx, we may offer the option to wait or to cancel the order with a full refund.

You can check order status in your customer account. After dispatch, the tracking number and the carrier’s latest delivery estimate are available from your account or the shipping confirmation email.

Check your address before you pay. The policy says the customer is responsible for a complete and accurate shipping address. While an order is paid and its shipment has not yet been scheduled, you can update the shipping address yourself from My Account > Orders. The destination country cannot be changed, and the carrier, shipping method and FedEx service level remain those selected at checkout. If shipping to the new address costs more, you are asked to pay the difference before dispatch and the order is held until it is settled. If it costs less, the shipping charge is not recalculated and no refund is made.

How do you pay for an OP-13 box?

All payments are made in Japanese yen (JPY), by Wise bank transfer, PayPal, or a credit or debit card through PayPal. The payment methods page (last updated November 5, 2026) sets out the details.

Method Fee Key rule
Wise (bank transfer) No payment processing fee; the only method without the 5% fee Without a screenshot, the order is cancelled automatically if payment is not received within 12 hours (3 hours if the order contains a pre-order item). With a screenshot, upload it within 5 days; the price is held for 10 days in total. The screenshot option requires an account.
PayPal Frais de traitement du paiement (5%) Paid immediately at checkout from your PayPal balance or linked funding sources.
Credit and debit cards (through PayPal) Frais de traitement du paiement (5%) Visa, Mastercard, American Express and JCB; which is offered is decided by PayPal. A PayPal account is usually not required.
PayPal Pay Later Operated by PayPal, not by us Availability is not guaranteed; the terms PayPal shows in its own window apply.

If you pay by Wise using SWIFT, the page says payments received via SWIFT incur a receiving fee of JPY 611, deducted before funds reach us, so you should add JPY 611 to your order total. It also advises choosing the OUR charge option so correspondent bank fees are covered on your side. Enter the payment reference SST-{order number} in the Wise reference field exactly as issued. A missing or altered reference may delay or prevent us from matching your payment.

On card payments, the page says card details are entered on PayPal’s side and we never see, receive or store your card number, expiry date or security code. Your card issuer may apply 3-D Secure authentication, such as a one-time code, which is handled between PayPal and your issuer.

For PayPal Pay Later, the page lists interest-free options seen at our checkout, such as PayPal Pay in 4 in the United States (4 payments, one every 2 weeks, first payment at checkout) and PayPal Pay in 3 in the United Kingdom (3 monthly payments, first payment at checkout). The instalment agreement is between you and PayPal, and the terms PayPal displays are the ones that apply.

Should you choose the regular OP-13 box or the damaged box?

Choose the regular booster box if you want an undamaged outer box, and the damaged-box listing only if you accept cosmetic damage and an as-is sale. Check each product page for its current status before you decide.

The regular OP-13 Carrying on His Will Japanese booster box (mise à jour : épuisé — demande de réassort via Quick Order) is described as brand new and sealed. The Damaged Box listing is a discounted item because of cosmetic damage to the outer box, such as dents or scratches. The listing states that the cards inside are unaffected.

The damaged-box page is firm on its terms. The photos are samples, the first image shows the regular product so you can identify the set, and the condition photos that follow show the typical level of damage from the same stock. The actual item you receive may differ from the photos. It is sold as-is, the page says inquiries about this item are not answered, and returns and refunds are not accepted. Read the page before ordering.

The page explains why these exist: the warehouse in Tokyo buys large volumes of Japanese trading cards daily, and some boxes arrive with dents or scratches. The page says every item is inspected against clearly defined condition standards, and boxes that cannot be sold as mint-condition products are separated from regular stock and offered at a lower price.
