The next flagship. MSRP is ¥5,760 (24 packs × ¥240; carton ¥69,120), and demand is already visible before a single pack has been opened: Japanese shops are offering around ¥19,000 pre-release buyback for shrink-wrapped boxes — roughly 3.3× MSRP as a floor, before release. 2. OP-16 — The Moment of Battle (newest available)
The current set, and the sensible « open it this weekend » pick. Market traded around ¥14,000 (~$86) as of June 2026, with late-July shop buyback averaging ¥12,167 — a narrow gap between market and floor, which is what a liquid, healthy current set looks like.
3. OP-13 — Carrying On His Will (the proven climber)
The case study every sealed holder cites. OP-13 launched around ¥6,000 and traded around ¥27,000 (~$166) by June 2026 — with buyback at ¥19,633 in late July. That’s a 4–5× move in about a year, driven by its chase pool and the Ace/Sabo/Luffy theme. 4. OP-11 — A Fist of Divine Speed (quietly scarce)
We couldn’t verify a clean sell-side figure for OP-11, so we’ll give you the number we can stand behind: Japanese shops pay ¥27,133 (~$166) buyback for sealed boxes — the highest trade-in floor of any 2025 main set, above what most sets fetch at retail. 5. EB-03 — Heroines Edition (the collector niche)

Shop buyback averages ¥17,900 (~$110), well above current-set levels for an extra booster. Character-art demand is the entire engine here, and it has not cooled since release.
6. OP-01 — Romance Dawn (the origin box)
The first set, long out of print, from a ¥4,752 MSRP era. Shops now pay ¥29,167 (~$179) buyback for sealed boxes — over 6× the original retail as a trade-in floor. This is the « own the beginning » purchase: condition and authenticity matter more here than anywhere else in the lineup, which is exactly why buying from a source that photographs condition is worth the discipline.
The Price Landscape Across All Sets
Reading the chart honestly: these are buyback averages — what shops pay, not what boxes sell for — so treat them as conservative floors, useful for ranking sets against each other. Three patterns worth taking away:
- Age alone doesn’t price a box. OP-05 (¥48,333 floor) towers over its neighbors from the same years; OP-08 sits at ¥7,333. The chase pool decides, not the calendar.
- Extra boosters can out-earn main sets. EB-02 (¥25,800) and EB-03 (¥17,900) both floor above several main expansions.
- Current sets cluster low — and that’s the entry point. OP-15/OP-16 floors near ¥12–13k reflect in-print supply. Every high bar on this chart started there.

Three practical notes from the shipping side:
- Sealed condition is part of the value. Japanese boxes ship shrink-wrapped; we photograph condition before packing, because a crushed corner affects a sealed box’s value even though the cards inside are fine.
- Cases exist — and Europe knows it. A Japanese case is 12 boxes (OP-17 carton MSRP: ¥69,120). Case-level buying is the single most-searched OP-17 purchase format among European buyers right now; if you’re stocking a shop or splitting with friends, ask for case pricing rather than 12 separate boxes.
- Consolidate. One shipment with boxes and singles together costs far less than several — build the whole order, then ship once.
