SV7 Stellar Miracle and SV7a Paradise Dragona landed eight weeks apart in 2024, and they are still bought side by side today — usually by the same collector deciding which Japanese booster box to open next. SV7 came first, on July 19, 2024, with 135 cards. SV7a followed on September 13, 2024, with a leaner 94-card list.
This guide lines up what’s verified about both sets — card counts, release dates, headline chase cards — and puts our own current booster box prices next to each other so you can see exactly where the two sets stand today. We ship both sets as Japanese sealed product out of Tokyo, so the pricing below reflects what’s actually on our shelves, not third-party estimates.

SV7 Stellar Miracle: Set Facts and Chase Cards
SV7 Stellar Miracle released on July 19, 2024, with 135 cards — the larger of the two sets covered here. Two Special Art Rares carry the set for most collectors.
Galvantula ex (SV7 #128) is the set’s headline Special Art Rare — a Lightning-type ex with 260 HP. It’s the card most collectors name first when asked what’s inside a Stellar Miracle box.
Terapagos ex (SV7 #130) is the set’s second Special Art Rare. Note that this is the SV7-specific SAR print — Terapagos ex also appears in other Japanese sets in different rarities, so the card number and set code together are what confirm which printing you’re looking at.

SV7a Paradise Dragona: Set Facts and Chase Cards
SV7a Paradise Dragona followed on September 13, 2024, roughly eight weeks after SV7, with a smaller 94-card list. Both of its headline ex cards are unusually tanky for the era — a detail worth noting given the set’s Dragon-themed name.
Baxcalibur ex (SV7a #88) is the set’s headline Special Art Rare — a Metal-type ex carrying 300 HP, one of the higher HP totals of any card in this comparison.
Alolan Exeggutor ex (SV7a #92) is an Ultra Rare Dragon-type ex, also at 300 HP. Two headline ex cards both sitting at 300 HP lines up with the « Paradise Dragona » name, though that’s an observation about this particular pair rather than a confirmed design rule for the set. Readers who want a closer look at Dragon-type Japanese prints from this era can check our Archaludon ex Pokemon Card Guide, which covers every Japanese print of a Dragon-type ex from the same SV7a set.

| Booster box | Cartes dans la série | Our price |
|---|---|---|
| SV7 Stellar Miracle | 135 | ¥9,984 (~$63) |

The SV7a Paradise Dragona box is currently listed roughly 41% higher than the SV7 Stellar Miracle box, despite SV7a carrying fewer total cards (94 versus 135). That gap is a live snapshot of our current listings rather than a fixed rule — both prices move with the market, so treat the figures above as of today rather than a permanent spread.
We don’t have a verified packs-per-box figure for either set, so we’re not going to guess at cost-per-pack. Compare the two boxes on the numbers above — card count, release date, and current price — rather than assumptions about what’s inside.
Reading the Numbers Before You Buy
This comparison isn’t here to tell you which box is the better buy — that depends on which chase card you’re after, your budget, and whether you’re building a Stellar Miracle or Paradise Dragona collection specifically. What the verified facts do tell you:
- SV7 has more raw cards to pull from (135 vs 94) and currently costs less per box.
- SV7a is the newer set by eight weeks and currently carries a higher box price on our listings.
- Each set has its own headline Special Art Rare — Galvantula ex for SV7, Baxcalibur ex for SV7a — plus a second notable ex card in each (Terapagos ex and Alolan Exeggutor ex respectively).
We’re not going to assert pull rates for either set, since we don’t have verified figures for either one. If a specific chase card is your target, singles are usually the more predictable route than opening boxes for it — our Quick Order page lets you build a mixed order of singles from both sets without buying a full box of either.
