The card text, per PokeBeach’s September 9, 2026 translation of the official database entry, is a single attack:
- [L] Angry Bolt — 10+ damage. This attack does 10 more damage for each damage counter on this Pokémon.
Weakness is Fighting (×2), there’s no listed Resistance, and retreat cost is 1 Energy. Angry Bolt is a scaling attack — it starts weak but gets stronger the more damage this Pikachu has already taken, which is a different design idea from 017/103’s flat Thunder Shock. Each of the thirty Pikachu in this subset carries its own distinct attack or ability rather than sharing text, so 046’s scaling damage is unique to this print within the set.
Kazuki Minami: What’s Confirmed
Kazuki Minami is credited as the illustrator of 046/103 in the official database. Per Bulbapedia’s illustrator page (fetched 2026-09-16), Minami is described simply as « a Japanese illustrator, » with no birth year, pen-name status or Japanese-script name variant stated on the page.
Bulbapedia records Minami’s first Pokémon TCG card as the SVP Promo Pikachu (SVP Promo 214), earned by winning the « TCG Illustration Contest 2024 » as its Grand Prize winner. Minami went on to illustrate a special illustration rare Mega Rayquaza ex for the Japanese Storm Emeralda expansion (card 110), and the page states that « Kazuki Minami has illustrated 4 cards for the TCG » as of the fetch date — a short but growing credit list. Bulbapedia’s own summary of Minami’s international debut names « Pikachu (30th Celebration 52) and Lugia (30th Celebration 121) » as the first expansion cards released outside Japan; that’s Bulbapedia’s English-numbering reference and this article is not independently confirming it maps card-for-card to the Japanese 046/103 print discussed here.

How 30th Celebration’s Full Numbering Breaks Down
046/103 sits inside the main set, the block that’s fully confirmed in the official database. That database covers the main set 001–103, the Classic Collection 136–165 and the eight Basic Energy; the AR/SAR/FUR block 104–135 is compiled from official images and PokeBeach’s September 9 list and is still not in the official database. All 32 secret rares have now been seen — the last five surfaced with release-day listings on SNKRDUNK, September 16, 2026 — but the block itself remains outside the database.

Box Structure and the Market Since Release
Every pack of 30th CELEBRATION carries 1 of the 30 Pikachu and 1 YOSHIROTTEN Basic Energy card, among six foil cards total, at ¥360 per pack. A box holds 20 packs for ¥7,200 tax-in MSRP.
PokeBeach reported, from an official box opening shown before release, that one 20-pack box held 20 of the 30 Pikachu, 2 Classic Collection cards, 4 AR, 1 SAR and 1 FUR — one opening, not a published rate. The Pokémon Company has not published pull rates for this set.
On the secondary market, the lowest asking price for a sealed M6a box on SNKRDUNK went from ¥47,200 on September 1 to ¥28,200 on September 10 and ¥17,500 on release day, September 16, 2026 — still about 2.4× the ¥7,200 MSRP. Single-card asks are also live now that packs are opened: 017/103 (Ken Sugimori) has a release-day ask of ¥1,000 on SNKRDUNK. 046/103 itself has no dated marketplace figure in this update.
