Storm Emeralda (M6) Explained: Names, Dates and Official Facts

Storm Emeralda (M6) Explained: Names, Dates and Official Facts

Storm Emeralda (set code M6, Japanese name ストームエメラルダ) is the Japanese-edition Pokémon Trading Card Game MEGA expansion pack released in Japan on July 31, 2026. A pack holds 5 cards, and our booster box page lists 30 packs per box. This page separates what official sources confirm from what we infer.

Updated November 6, 2026

Key Takeaways
  • Official Japanese name: ポケモンカードゲーム MEGA 拡張パック「ストームエメラルダ」, released July 31, 2026 (pokemon-card.com).
  • A pack contains 5 cards, lists at 200 yen including tax, and does not include a basic energy card.
  • Our booster box listing states 1 pack = 5 cards and 1 box = 30 packs; the official page does not state box size.
  • Pokemon.com lists the English Mega Evolution-Delta Reign for November 6, 2026 with a Mega Rayquaza ex preview, but its page does not name Storm Emeralda (Pokemon.com).
  • This is the Japanese edition, so card text is in Japanese.

What are the key facts about Storm Emeralda (M6)?

The table below gives the exact names, code, date and contents of the set. Each row is taken from the official Japanese product page, the Pokemon.com preview or our own booster box page, and the source is linked in the last column.

What exactly is Storm Emeralda, and what is it called in each language?

Storm Emeralda is a Japanese expansion pack in the MEGA series of the Pokémon Trading Card Game, with set code M6. The official product page calls it 拡張パック「ストームエメラルダ」, and our product pages write the name in English as “Storm Emeralda”.

Naming is the first place readers get confused, so here is the short version. There are three labels you will see for the Japanese release: the Japanese official name, the English spelling Storm Emeralda, and the set code M6. All three point to the Japanese edition. Delta Reign is the name of an English-language Pokemon.com release; whether it corresponds to Storm Emeralda is our inference, because the Pokemon.com page does not say so.

The official page names メガレックウザex as card M6-058, and it also lists a Mega Rayquaza cap (メガレックウザキャップ, M6-066) and a campaign called 宙駆けるメガレックウザ. The official deck-recipe article describes the Japanese Mega Rayquaza ex as having the Ability はしゃのほうこう and an attack called ストームエメラルダ (pokemon-card.com deck recipes).

We sell the Japanese edition only. The cards, text and card numbers follow the Japanese release. If you are comparing it with an English product, the Delta Reign section below shows what each source states.

This page is a naming and fact reference, not a card list or a buying ranking. For the deeper topics we have separate articles, including the Storm Emeralda booster box guide and the chase card list.

When was Storm Emeralda released in Japan?

Storm Emeralda was released in Japan on July 31, 2026, a Friday, according to the official M6 page. Our booster box listing shows the same release date.

Separately, Pokemon.com’s card preview, dated October 30, 2026, gives November 6, 2026 as the release date for Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution-Delta Reign, part of the Mega Evolution Series, and describes the set size as “over 135” cards (Pokemon.com).

Produk Release date Language of cards
Storm Emeralda (M6) July 31, 2026 Jepang
Mega Evolution-Delta Reign November 6, 2026 English

We do not state how the two products relate beyond what each page says. For other articles on this topic, see our Delta Reign pre-order guide and the Pokémon Center Online lottery article.

One date caution: the official deck-recipe article for the set (pokemon-card.com info 005568) does not state a release date on its page, so the July 31, 2026 date comes from the product page and our own listing.

What is confirmed, what is inferred, and what is not known?

Official pages confirm the name, date, pack size, price and a set of named cards; the box size, the full rarity list and any link to Delta Reign are not confirmed by those pages. Separating the three groups keeps the entity clear.

Group Statements Where it comes from
Confirmed officially Japanese name, July 31, 2026 release, 5-card pack, 200 yen including tax, no basic energy card, eleven named card entries Official M6 page
Confirmed by our listing only 30 packs per booster box, Sealed condition, Sealed and No Shrink options Our booster box page
Inferred That Delta Reign is the English counterpart of Storm Emeralda Not stated by Pokemon.com
Not published on the pages we used Rarity names for the whole set, box size on the official page, pack contents in the English preview Absent from the official M6 page and the Pokemon.com preview

The practical reading is simple. If a statement is in the first row, you can treat it as published by the Pokémon Card Game site. If it is in the second row, it describes the product we list. If it is in the third or fourth row, treat it as open until an official page states it. We do not fill the gaps with guesses, and we do not publish pull-rate figures because we have no verified source for them.

What do official sources confirm about the pack and the box?

Official sources confirm a 5-card pack at 200 yen including tax with random card insertion and no basic energy card, but they do not confirm a box size. The 30-pack box figure comes from our M6 booster box page, which lists the condition as Sealed and the contents as “1 pack = 5 cards / 1 box = 30 packs”.

Rarity names for the whole set Not listed (the official page only offers a rarity sort) Not published there
Size of the Pokemon.com release Pokemon.com: “over 135” Official English preview

The official page states that the pack does not include basic energy cards.

The official page also explains two Stadium families that behave differently from normal cards. The Stadiums 伝説の山頂 (M6-073, M6-074) and 伝説の海溝 (M6-071, M6-072) are each sold as a two-card set. The right and left halves can be included up to 4 in total in a deck, and the deck tool registers the right and left halves as one pair. For events that require deck registration, the registered counts must match the counts in the deck.

The official page does not publish a list of rarity names for the set. Because of that, we do not describe rarity tiers for the whole set here. Where we name a rarity, such as SAR or MUR on a specific card, it comes from our own product listing for that card.

Which cards do the official pages name for Storm Emeralda?

The official M6 page mentions the eleven entries in the table below by name and number. This is the list of cards the page mentions, not the full card list, so it should not be read as the set’s contents.

Card (Japanese name) Number on the official page Note
メガレックウザex (Mega Rayquaza ex) M6-058 Mentioned on the product page

For a full card list we do not copy a table here, because it would go out of date. Use our Delta Reign card list with Japanese M6 prints and the list of every Japanese Storm Emeralda SAR and MUR.

What does the official deck-recipe article add?

The official deck-recipe article shows how the Japanese Pokémon Card site presents cards from the set in decks. It features a Mega Rayquaza ex deck by ライチュ梅川 with a target of over 350 damage, a Mega Gusokumusha ex deck by よぴふっと, and a Bug Panic deck by クチート竹内. It also discusses ファイアローex (Ability エキサイトダイブ, attack かぎづめハント), ぼうけんのランタン, ギリー, ヒビキのホウオウex (Ability こんじきのほのお) and テラパゴスex (ガラスのラッパ) (official deck recipe article).

The article is useful as a naming reference too. It shows the Japanese card and attack names exactly as the official site writes them, which helps when you search for a card by its Japanese text. It does not give a release date, a box size or a rarity list.

What does the English preview say about Mega Rayquaza ex?

The English preview on Pokemon.com gives card text for Mega Rayquaza ex. It calls it a special illustration rare card illustrated by Kazuki Minami, Colorless, with 280 HP. Its Ability, Ruler’s Roar, lets you look at the top four cards of your deck and attach a Basic Energy to it. Its attack, Storm Emerald, “does 50 damage for each Fire Energy and each Lightning Energy attached to all your Pokémon.” The page also says the set includes “a variety of powerful new Mega Evolution Pokémon ex.”

Where are the Raikou ex and Kecleon cards?

Two more card families have their own articles on our site. For Raikou ex, see the Raikou ex SAR 108/076 and SR 092/076 guide and the Raikou ex 024/076 guide. The English comparison is in Raikou ex 92/95 (Delta Reign) vs Japanese 024/076, and Kecleon has the Kecleon 088/076 card guide.

Why do Storm Emeralda card numbers look different in different places?

The same card can appear under a different number format depending on whether you read the official site, our shop listing or an English product. On the official page, cards use an M6-058 style number. Our listings for Mega Rayquaza ex use 110/076 for the SAR and 113/076 for the MUR. Our Raikou comparison article pairs the Japanese 024/076 with the English 92/95.

Where you see it Number style Example
Official Japanese product page M6-### format メガレックウザex M6-058
Our PSA 10 product listings M6 ###/076 format MEGA Rayquaza ex SAR M6 110/076; MUR M6 113/076
Our Raikou ex comparison article Japanese ###/076 against English ##/95 Raikou ex 024/076 vs 92/95

These labels are not interchangeable. We do not state how the official M6-058 number relates to the 110/076 or 113/076 numbers on our listings, because the sources we use do not say. The practical rule is simple: match the number shown on the exact product page you are buying, and do not assume a number sold under one edition maps to the same number in the other.

How do you tell a Japanese Storm Emeralda product from an English one?

Check the language of the card text, the set code and the release date on the page you are reading. Japanese Storm Emeralda products carry Japanese text, the code M6 and a July 31, 2026 Japanese release;

Check Japanese Storm Emeralda English Delta Reign page
Name on the page ストームエメラルダ / Storm Emeralda Mega Evolution-Delta Reign
Kode set M6 No code given in the preview we used
Number style M6-058, or 110/076 on our listings Not shown in the preview text we used
Language on the card Jepang English
Where we sell it On this shop Not sold on this page

Our product titles include the set name in quotes and the M6 code, for example “Expansion Pack “Storm Emeralda””, which is the quickest identifier on a PSA 10 listing. If a listing does not show the edition, the code and the card number together, treat it as unclear and compare it with the official M6 page before deciding.

How does Japanese Storm Emeralda compare with English Delta Reign?

The two pages describe different products with different dates and card languages, and Pokemon.com’s page does not itself say “Storm Emeralda”. Both pages name a Mega Rayquaza ex card with a similarly named attack: ストームエメラルダ in Japanese and Storm Emerald in English. We treat any link between the two sets as an inference and compare only what each source states.

Because the card counts are not stated on both sides, we do not claim that the two sets contain the same cards. We only say what the sources state. For related reading, see our Delta Reign ETB and booster box vs Japanese Storm Emeralda article and the Delta Reign Build & Battle Box explainer. We do not sell the English products on this page.

Which Storm Emeralda products does our shop list?

Our shop lists a regular M6 booster box, two damaged-box variants and PSA 10 singles of Mega Rayquaza ex. The table shows what each product page says. Stock moves, so check each page on the day you read this; we do not state availability here because it would be out of date within hours.

What is a damaged box?

A damaged box is a booster box discounted because of cosmetic damage to the outer box, such as dents, creases, scuffs or scratches. The sealed version is unopened and still in its original shrink wrap, and its page says the cards inside are unaffected. The No Shrink version has the factory shrink wrap removed, with the inner box unopened and contents factory-original.

Both pages say the photos are samples and that the actual item you receive may differ from them. They also say our warehouse is in Tokyo, that boxes with dents or scratches were separated from regular stock during inspection, and that these boxes are offered at a lower price than our regular products.

What do the Mega Rayquaza ex PSA 10 listings say?

We list the SAR as M6 110/076 and the MUR as M6 113/076. Both are PSA 10 cards, and our pages describe PSA 10 as the highest grade certifiable by Professional Sports Authenticator (Gem Mint). The listings add that the PSA case may have minor scratches or marks on its surface. A second pair of pages exists for each card: SAR and MUR.

PSA availability has its own rule. Our shipping policy explains that PSA graded cards may also be offered through other sales channels, so an item shown online may already be sold before our team locks the allocation. Once payment has cleared, the policy says we secure the PSA graded card matching your order, even if additional sourcing is required, and that dispatch may take longer in that case.

Box or singles?

A box holds 30 packs of 5 cards, and the official page says cards are randomly inserted. A single is a specific card named on its product page. For the Mega Rayquaza ex prints we list, those are the PSA 10 pages above. For comparisons with other sets, see M6 Storm Emeralda vs M6a 30th Celebration, Abyss Eye vs Storm Emeralda (M5 vs M6) and, for the Raikou prints, the box vs Raikou ex singles article.

How do shipping and payment work for Storm Emeralda orders?

Orders ship by FedEx with a tracking number, and payment is taken in Japanese yen. The details below come directly from our shipping policy and payment methods page.

Topic What the policy says
Standard shipping FedEx International Connect Plus with tracking. Estimated transit after dispatch is usually 3-7 business days. This is an estimate only.
Expedited shipping FedEx International Priority with tracking. Estimated transit after dispatch is usually 2-5 business days. Also an estimate only.
Shipping cost Calculated automatically at checkout from your delivery address.
Handling Most orders are processed and shipped within 5 business days after PayPal or Wise payment has cleared. This window is an estimate only.
Minimum order There is no minimum order amount or quantity.
Currency All payments are in Japanese yen; exchange differences on your statement are set by your payment provider.
Wise Bank transfer with no payment processing fee. A SWIFT payment has a receiving fee of JPY 611.
PayPal and cards The Payment processing fee (5%) applies. Cards go through PayPal: Visa, Mastercard, American Express and JCB, with the brand offered decided by PayPal.

After dispatch, delivery is controlled by FedEx and the destination country. The policy says customs inspections, import procedures, remote-area handling, congestion and weather may delay delivery, and that FedEx cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes, so you need to give a physical address. It also says dispatch can take longer when stock levels change, a supplier allocation shifts or a unit fails quality inspection, and that in that case we email you with a revised estimate.

If you need to fix your shipping address, the policy says that while an order is paid and its shipment has not yet been scheduled, you can update it yourself from My Account > Orders. The destination country cannot be changed, and the carrier, shipping method and FedEx service level remain those selected at checkout. If shipping to the new address costs more, you pay the difference before dispatch.

Wise has deadlines. Without a screenshot of your transfer, an order is cancelled automatically if payment has not been received within 12 hours, or 3 hours if the order contains a pre-order item. With a screenshot uploaded within 5 days of placing the order, the order price is held for a total of 10 days. Enter the reference SST-{order number} exactly as issued.

The payment page also describes PayPal Pay Later, which PayPal offers where it is available. For example, the US option is PayPal Pay in 4, with four payments, one every 2 weeks and the first at checkout, and each option the page lists is interest-free. Which option you see is decided by PayPal.

What should you check before buying Storm Emeralda?

Check four things: the edition, the condition label, the card number and the shipping terms. Our listings for this set are the Japanese edition, so the card text is Japanese.

Check the condition label next. A regular box is Sealed. A damaged box is discounted for cosmetic reasons, is sold as-is, and returns and refunds are not accepted. A PSA 10 card is a graded card in a case that may have minor surface marks on the case itself.

Check the card number. Our listings show SAR 110/076 and MUR 113/076 for Mega Rayquaza ex, while the official page uses M6-058 style numbering. Match the number shown on the product page you are buying.

Finally, read the delivery estimates as estimates. The shipping policy states that delivery dates shown on our site, at checkout or in carrier tools do not include items such as handling time, pre-order release timing, weekends, Japanese national holidays, customs processing and carrier congestion.

We do not forecast how any card or box will move in value. If a number matters to your decision, read the live product page and decide on that.
