Return and Refund Policy

1. No Returns for Customer Preference

Please be advised that we do not accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations based on customer preference (e.g., change of mind, "buyer's remorse," or ordering the wrong item by mistake), even if the request is made within 7 days of delivery.

Due to the nature of our products—specifically trading cards, randomized products, and limited-edition items—all sales are considered final to prevent fraudulent activities and to account for market price fluctuations. Exchanges are strictly not permitted under any circumstances in order to prevent tampering with or substitution of product contents.

2. Customer-Initiated Cancellation Before Shipping

You may request to cancel your order before it has been shipped. However, a non-refundable cancellation fee of 10% of the total order amount (covering payment system transaction fees and administrative costs) will be deducted from your refund.

  • To exercise this right, you must notify us via our Contact Form before the shipping process has commenced.
  • Refunds for cancellations will be processed within 10 business days.

2.A Company-Initiated Cancellations

Trading card products are subject to substantial market price volatility. Although such situations are uncommon, Samurai Sword Inc. reserves the right to cancel any order — including after order confirmation — in the following circumstances:

  • A pricing error has occurred on the product page or at checkout.
  • The listed price has diverged materially from the current market rate before the order has shipped.
  • Stock previously shown as available has been sold, lost, or damaged.
  • Fraud, payment dispute, or abuse is suspected.

When we cancel an order from our side, the buyer will receive a full refund of the amount paid, with no cancellation fee. The 10% cancellation fee described in section 2 applies only to cancellations requested by the buyer, not to company-initiated cancellations. We will notify the buyer by email when such a cancellation occurs.

2.B Pre-Order Items

Pre-order items (any product clearly labeled "Pre-Order," "Pre-Sale," or similar on the product page) are sold under different terms than in-stock items. The customer-initiated cancellation right described in section 2 does not apply to pre-orders.

  • No cancellation at the buyer's request: Once a pre-order has been placed, it cannot be cancelled, modified, or refunded at the customer's request based on change of mind, market price movement, or routine release-date adjustments. The exceptions in the bullets below (material delay, company-initiated cancellation, defects and shipping errors) remain available.
  • Release dates are estimates: The release or shipping date shown on the product page is the manufacturer's projected date and is subject to change. Routine delays are expected and are not, by themselves, grounds for cancellation. However, if a delay is material and we are unable to provide a revised dispatch estimate within a reasonable period, the procedure described in our Shipping Policy applies: we will contact you by email, share the revised estimate, and offer the option to wait or to receive a full refund.
  • Why: Pre-orders involve allocated inventory commitments with our suppliers and are exposed to substantial market price movements between the order date and the release date. To prevent speculative cancellations and to protect allocation for genuine buyers, all pre-order sales are final from the moment of order confirmation.
  • Company-initiated cancellation still applies: If the product is officially cancelled by the manufacturer, becomes permanently unavailable, or any of the circumstances in section 2.A arise, Samurai Sword Inc. will cancel the order and issue a full refund with no fee.
  • Defects and shipping errors still apply: Section 3 (Defective Products or Company Errors) applies to pre-order items once they have been delivered.

3. Defective Products or Company Errors

We only accept returns and offer refunds in the case of defective products or mistakes made by our company (e.g., shipping the wrong item).

  • Notification Period: You must inform us of the issue within 20 days of receiving the goods.
  • Evidence Required: You must provide your order number and clear photographic/video evidence of the defect or error.
  • Disqualification: We reserve the right to refuse a return if the damage is the result of unnecessary handling, tampering, or improper storage by the customer.

4. Refund Process

  • Once the returned item is received and inspected, we will process your refund within 10 business days.
  • Refunds will be issued through the original Wise transaction whenever possible. For PayPal invoice requests handled through WhatsApp, refunds are coordinated through the original PayPal invoice where possible. If the original processor cannot support the refund, we will coordinate an equivalent refund method with you.
  • For confirmed defective/incorrect items, we will reimburse the full product price and the initial shipping costs.

5. International Returns and Customs

For international orders, please note that customs duties, import taxes, and local fees are non-refundable under any circumstances. We recommend contacting your local customs authority for information regarding tax reclamation.

6. Unauthorized Returns

Any items sent back to us without prior approval via our Contact Form will not be accepted or refunded.

7. Language

In the event of any discrepancy between the English version and any translated version of this document, the English version shall prevail.
