What Is the Misty Trainer Card 30th? Key Facts

The Misty trainer card 30th is the Misty card (number 138) from the 30th Celebration expansion, set code M6a (also typed M6A or “m6a” without spacing). It belongs to the anniversary reprint group inside the set, not to the Pikachu or Futuristic Rare groups. The table below gives the exact names so the entity is unambiguous.

When Was the Misty Trainer Card 30th Released and What Does It Cost?

The Misty trainer card 30th belongs to the 30th Celebration expansion pack, which came out on September 16, 2026, and a pack costs 360 yen including tax. The official page calls it a worldwide simultaneous release, so the Japanese and international launches share one date.

That price is for one pack. The official page does not give a separate price or a separate release date for any single card, and it does not say which of the other 30th Celebration products contain card number 138. The M6a expansion pack is the product the page ties to Misty by number. Other 30th Celebration products came out on the same date or later, and the schedule table further down lists them.

The English-language Pokémon TCG product showcase also gives September 16, 2026 as the launch date for Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration. The English set page at tcg.pokemon.com shows “Available now!” without a date.

What Is Misty’s Card Number in 30th Celebration?

Misty is number 138 in M6a. The official page shows the number through the image reference m6a_138 in its “30 years of history” feature, which presents 30 classic cards from across the game’s history in a special reprint form.

The anniversary reprints are numbered 136 to 165 on the official page. The Pikachu, Charizard and Misty cards come first in that run, so Misty sits third in the group. The full list below is taken from the image file references on the official page, so it gives numbers and names, not rarities.

165 Magikarp

Darkrai & Cresselia LEGEND is listed under the paired numbers 151 and 152 in the official image references. Misty sits next to Charizard at 137 and Erika’s Clefairy at 139.

For a collector, number 138 together with the set code M6a is the identifier to look for. The official page gives these numbers from the Japanese edition, so use them when you read Japanese-edition photos or checklists.

Where Does Misty Sit Among the Other Card Groups in M6a?

Misty belongs to the anniversary reprint group, numbers 136 to 165, which is one of three headline groups on the official M6a page. The other two are the 30 kira Pikachu designs and the Futuristic Rare cards by YOSHIROTTEN.

Group What the official page says Numbers named
Futuristic Rare (FUR) Mew ex and Mewtwo ex, art by YOSHIROTTEN 135 and 134
Anniversary reprints 30 classic cards reprinted in special form, shown in the “30 years of history” feature 136 to 165, including Misty at 138
Pikachu designs 1 Pikachu card per pack, from 30 kira Pikachu designs by 30 illustrators Not given on the page
Basic energy 1 per pack, special design by YOSHIROTTEN Not given on the page

The rarity the official page names is FUR (Futuristic Rare), used for Mew ex (number 135) and Mewtwo ex (number 134). Those are cards in a different design family. Misty’s number, 138, falls in the anniversary run that follows them, and the official page does not state a rarity for this card.

What Does a Special-Form Reprint Mean for the Misty Trainer Card 30th?

The official M6a page says the Misty card is one of 30 anniversary cards reprinted in special form. That is the only description it gives for the Misty card itself: it names the number, the card and the “reprinted in special form” group.

The English-language Classic Collection article, dated October 14, 2026, adds detail about the classic reprints in the English-language set: reprinted classic cards have gold borders and a unique texture, and the booster packs have dazzling foils with a Pikachu rare in every pack. The English expansion page says the classic reprints come with a new foil treatment. Neither English page mentions Misty by name, so treat these as descriptions of the reprint group in the English-language set.

The sources give names and numbers; they do not publish a card-by-card breakdown of finish. For the Misty trainer card 30th, the part you can rely on is the identity: Misty, number 138, M6a, an anniversary reprint.

Can You Play the Misty Trainer Card 30th in Standard?

No. The official note says reprinted anniversary cards cannot be used in the current Standard regulation, so the Misty card from M6a is not usable in Standard play.

The same note says these cards can be used in any regulation where their original versions are legal. In practice that means the reprint follows the legality of the original Misty card: in a regulation that allows the original, the reprint is accepted; in the current Standard regulation, it is not. The note covers all the anniversary cards, so Misty is treated the same way as Charizard, Pikachu or Mew VMAX in the list above.

What Is Inside a 30th Celebration Pack Where Misty Can Appear?

A Japanese 30th Celebration pack contains 6 kira cards, randomly inserted, plus 1 basic energy card and 1 Pikachu card. The basic energy has a special design by YOSHIROTTEN, and the Pikachu comes from 30 kira Pikachu designs by 30 illustrators, according to the official M6a page.

The English-language version of the set is built differently. The Pokémon TCG showcase says each booster pack has five foil cards, including one of 30 unique Pikachu illustrations, and one foil Basic Energy card. Do not mix the two structures when you read pack descriptions.

Pack detail Japanese edition (M6a) English-language set
Foil or kira cards 6 kira cards, random 5 foil cards
Pikachu 1 per pack, from 30 kira Pikachu designs by 30 illustrators One of 30 unique Pikachu illustrations in each pack
Energy 1 basic energy, design by YOSHIROTTEN 1 foil Basic Energy
Harga 360 yen, tax included Not stated on the showcase page

The official pages do not publish how often Misty appears, so treat any odds you see quoted elsewhere as unofficial. What you can plan around is the pack structure above.

The Futuristic Rare cards (Mew ex 135 and Mewtwo ex 134) and the 30 Pikachu designs are the other two headline groups. Misty’s group, the anniversary reprints, is the “history” side of the set: it brings older cards back at numbers 136 to 165.

Where Else Is the Misty Trainer Card 30th Mentioned Officially?

Only the Japanese M6a page names Misty. The English showcase, the English Classic Collection article and the English expansion page describe the set but do not mention her, and the official pages for the Classic starter decks, MEGA Dream ex and the Scarlet & Violet starter sets do not list her either.

This is the reason the Japanese page is the source to trust when someone shows you a Misty number. The Classic product (planned for late October 2023 at 35,000 yen, three 60-card decks), the High Class Pack “MEGA Dream ex” (released November 28, at 550 yen per pack with 10 cards, rarities MA, AR and SAR) and the starter sets (released January 20, 2023, 1,800 yen) are separate products from M6a. If you typed “Misty trainer card 30th” and landed on any of those, they are not the product the official page lists with number 138.

The MEGA Dream ex page is a different release from 30th Celebration, with its own rarities. The official notice dated December 5, 2025 about surface-finish errors on some MA cards belongs to that set only (official notice), not to M6a.

Which Other 30th Celebration Cards Sit Near the Misty Trainer Card 30th?

The cards next to Misty in the numbering are Charizard (137) and Erika’s Clefairy (139), and the group runs on to Magikarp at 165. This is the only section in this guide that looks beyond Misty, and it is short on purpose.

The English-language Classic Collection article highlights ten reprints: Erika’s Jigglypuff, Sneasel, Delcatty, Uxie, Genesect-EX, N, Greninja BREAK, Pikachu & Zekrom-GX, Zacian V and Arceus VSTAR. Misty is not among those ten highlights, and a highlight list of ten is a sample, not the whole group. The Japanese page’s 30-card list is the fuller one.

The list also includes Raikou at number 162. If you collect classic Pokémon cards beyond this set, our own guides cover similar territory, for example the Suicune Pokémon Card Value Guide 2026.

How Should You Check a Misty Trainer Card 30th Listing?

Check four things: the set code M6a, the card number 138, the name Misty, and the Japanese edition. These are the details the official M6a page gives for the card.

  1. Set code. The expansion pack is M6a. The Classic decks, MEGA Dream ex (M2a) and the Scarlet & Violet starter sets are different products.
  2. Number. Misty is 138 in the official M6a image references. The reprint group is 136 to 165.
  3. Edition. The pack structure differs between Japanese (6 kira cards plus 1 basic energy) and English-language (5 foil cards plus 1 foil Basic Energy). Know which one you are reading about.
  4. Legality. If you plan to play, remember the reprint cannot be used in the current Standard regulation.

For graded cards, read the label as carefully as the card, and compare what it says with the set code and number above. The same habit applies to any Japanese card, such as the PSA 10 entries in the related-sets table below.

What Should Collectors of the Misty Trainer Card 30th Do Next?

Start from the number: track Misty 138 in M6a, and decide whether you want it as a single card, as part of the full 136 to 165 anniversary run, or as a card you find in packs you open.

A practical plan for each type of reader:

  • Player. The reprint cannot be used in current Standard, so only plan around formats that accept the original Misty card. Check the regulation of your event first.
  • Anniversary-run collector. Use the 30-card table above as a checklist, from Pikachu at 136 to Magikarp at 165, and remember that Darkrai & Cresselia LEGEND covers 151 and 152.
  • Pack opener. The Japanese pack gives 6 kira cards, 1 basic energy and 1 Pikachu for 360 yen. Misty is one of many reprint cards in the set, with no official odds published.
  • Misty-only collector. Look for the number 138 and set code M6a, and compare edition (Japanese or English-language) before you pay for anything.
