Leafeon VMAX has three documented Japanese prints, and only one of them carries the full alternate-art treatment. That makes it a short list to work through once you know which of the three you are holding.
The card is リーフィアVMAX — Leafeon VMAX, and our anchor listing is 089/069, printed as a Hyper Rare — Special Art (HR SA) in the Japanese enhanced expansion pack 強化拡張パック「イーブイヒーローズ」/ Enhanced Expansion Pack “Eevee Heroes” (set code S6a). We currently list a PSA 10 graded copy of this exact print, and this guide covers what the card is, how it compares to the set’s other Leafeon print, how the Japanese card lines up against its English counterpart, and where it sits among the other Eevee-line PSA 10s we carry.
Leafeon VMAX 089/069 HR SA is a PSA 10, currently listed at ¥126,478 (~$795). It comes from Eevee Heroes (S6a), the Japanese enhanced expansion pack released 28 May 2021 and best known on our site as the set behind “Moonbreon.” The other verified Leafeon VMAX prints in this set are the 003/069 Triple Rare (RRR), sitting inside the main 69-card run, and a separate 088/069 Hyper Rare (a plain HR print, distinct from the 089/069 HR SA alternate-art treatment). If you want the sealed source product, the S6A-Eevee Heroes Japanese Pokemon Booster Box is where all three prints come from.

The Card: Leafeon VMAX 089/069 HR SA
Leafeon VMAX is a Stage-1 Grass-type Pokemon, evolving from Eevee. It carries 310 HP, the same total shared by both of its Eevee Heroes prints. The 089/069 print sits well past the set’s 69-card main numbering, which is the standard Japanese convention for marking a card as a secret or special slot rather than part of the core numbered run.
The 003/069 Triple Rare print is illustrated by PLANETA Tsuji. The 089/069 HR SA print is illustrated by HYOGONOSUKE.
Our own graded copy of this print is currently listed at ¥126,478 (~$795), PSA 10.
Print History: Leafeon VMAX Across Eevee Heroes
The verified Japanese prints for Leafeon VMAX come to three, all from Eevee Heroes, released the same day.
| Set | Number | Rarity | JP Release |
|---|---|---|---|
| Eevee Heroes (S6a) | 003/069 | RRR (Triple Rare) | 28 May 2021 |
| Eevee Heroes (S6a) | 088/069 | HR (plain Hyper Rare) | 28 May 2021 |
| Eevee Heroes (S6a) | 089/069 | HR SA | 28 May 2021 |
The 003/069 print sits inside the set’s main numbered run at the Triple Rare (RRR) tier — the standard high-rarity treatment applied to a VMAX card inside a set’s core count in this generation. 088/069 is a plain Hyper Rare secret-slot print without the alternate-art treatment, and is not the print we list. The 089/069 print is the Hyper Rare / Special Art version: a full alternate-art treatment placed outside the main 69-card count, which is the print we carry.
Because all three prints released on the same day in the same set, there is no “original vs reprint” story here — 003/069, 088/069 and 089/069 are parallel treatments of one card, not a first edition and a later reissue.
The Set: Eevee Heroes (S6a)
Eevee Heroes — 強化拡張パック「イーブイヒーローズ」in Japanese — is set code S6a, an Enhanced Expansion Pack released on 28 May 2021. The set runs to 69 cards in its main numbering, with secret and special slots numbered above that. On our own site it is best known for containing the Umbreon VMAX alternate art that the collecting community refers to as “Moonbreon” — see our full Eevee Heroes (S6a) Lista carte & Box Guide: Moonbreon’s Home Set for the complete set breakdown; this guide focuses on the single Leafeon VMAX alt-art print.
Eevee Heroes released in 2021, outside the earlier 1st Edition print-mark era (2001–2016), so there is no 1st Edition variant of this card to look for.
Sealed S6a product — where both the 003/069 and 089/069 prints originate — is available as the S6A-Eevee Heroes Japanese Pokemon Booster Box, currently listed at ¥159,600 (~$1,004). For the full print list of every Leafeon release in Japanese, see our Leafeon Japanese cards guide.
Where This HR SA Sits Among Japanese Rarity Tiers
Within Eevee Heroes, the three verified Leafeon VMAX prints sit on different rungs of the set’s rarity structure: the main-numbered Triple Rare (RRR) at 003/069, the secret-slot plain Hyper Rare (HR) at 088/069, and the secret-slot Hyper Rare / Special Art (HR SA) at 089/069. The HR SA sits above the plain HR and the RRR — it is the harder-to-pull, full alternate-art treatment placed outside the main numbering, which is the standard pattern for this generation’s flagship alt-art chase cards.
Leafeon VMAX’s HR SA sits alongside other Eevee-line PSA 10 prints we carry, including a different rarity tier of the same Pokemon and a different-era print entirely:
The Leafeon V 070/069 SR comes from the same Eevee Heroes set as our HR SA anchor, one tier down on the rarity ladder. The Leafeon GX SSR 206/150 (aggiornamento: esaurito — richiedi il riassortimento via Quick Order) is from an earlier, separate set and era entirely, included here for comparison rather than as a sibling print.
The 003/069 RRR and 088/069 HR prints are not listed on our site at the moment; sourcing requests go through our Quick Order page. For a wider look at Special Art (SA) rarity across our Japanese catalogue, see our SA — Special Art Japanese cards guide, and for the complete Eevee Heroes Eeveelutions picture, see our Eevee Heroes Eeveelutions set guide.

We list the 089/069 HR SA, not the 003/069 or the 088/069.
Does Leafeon VMAX have an English print?
