Solgaleo GX 158/103 sits inside that officially listed Classic Collection block — a run of 30 reprints, numbered 136 through 165, carrying what PokeBeach describes as a “C”-style symbol beside the M6a set code, a block Pokémon’s own card list labels 特別仕様 (“special specification”). Per the official caveat that applies to the whole block, Classic Collection cards are not usable under the current Standard regulation; they remain legal only in whatever format the original printing is legal in.
The reprint’s credited illustrator, per the official database, is PLANETA — the same illustrator credited on the original 2017 regular print. That match is confirmed for the regular print specifically; the original set’s Full Art and Secret Rainbow Rare versions used a different illustrator credit (5ban Graphics), so the 30th reprint’s artwork lines up with the standard 2017 Solgaleo-GX, not its chase-card variants.

As a Pokémon-GX, the card follows the standard GX rule of that era: a Knockout gives the opponent two Prize cards, and only one GX attack can be used per game. Sol Burst-GX is a one-time board-flooding Energy search that sets up Sunsteel Strike’s heavy 230-damage hit, at the cost of discarding all of Solgaleo’s own Energy each time it fires.
Why Solgaleo-GX Is in the Classic Collection
Pokémon’s official communication around the Classic Collection describes the block only as 特別仕様 (“special specification”) treatment; it doesn’t publish a card-by-card rationale for why any individual card was chosen. What we can point to, sourced directly to Bulbapedia’s card notes, is that this specific Solgaleo-GX print was reprinted across multiple later products, including SM Black Star Promos, Ultra Prism, and GX Battle Boost.
Whatever Pokémon’s internal selection logic was, the practical result is that 158/103 puts a previously multi-reprinted 2017 GX card back into current packs, in the same special finish as the other 29 Classic Collection cards.

SNKRDUNK — a Japanese resale marketplace — showed the following lowest live asking prices for Solgaleo GX cards as of 11 September 2026 (any condition; asks are seller listings, not sales). A Solgaleo GX Ultra Rare from “GX Ultra Shiny” (SM8b 249/150) asked ¥17,000 (14 listings); a Solgaleo GX SR from the “Collection Sun” expansion itself (SM1S 063/060) — the same Japanese origin set as this print — asked ¥25,000 (5 listings); and a lower-rarity Collection Sun print (SM1S 040/060 RR) asked as little as ¥1,800 (2 listings).
None of these figures describe 158/103 — M6a single cards have no live asks yet, since the set hasn’t released.
M6a 30th CELEBRATION: Release Format

PokeBeach reported, from an official box opening shown before release, that one 20-pack box held 20 of the 30 Pikachu, 2 Classic Collection cards, 4 AR, 1 SAR and 1 FUR — one opening, not a published rate. No pull rate for any single Classic Collection card, including Solgaleo GX 158/103, has been published.
