What Is the Palkia LV.X 147/103 Reprint?
Pokemon published the official card list for M6a 30th CELEBRATION on 9 September 2026, and it covers the main set (001–103), the Classic Collection (136–165) and the eight Basic Energy in full. Palkia LV.X sits inside that confirmed Classic Collection block, at card number 147/103, JP name パルキア LV.X, illustrator Ryo Ueda — both the card number and the illustrator credit are in the official pokemon-card.com database.
Like the other 29 cards in the 136–165 run, Palkia LV.X carries the set’s Classic Collection “C” mark next to the M6a set code and is explicitly not usable under current Standard rules — it’s a display and collecting card, playable only in whichever legacy format the 2008 original is legal in. Two independent English-language checklist trackers (Bill’s Archive and thornberrymedia), compiling the equivalent English “30th Celebration” Ultra-Premium Collection, both list this same card as slot 12 of 30 in their reprint run, matching our Japanese numbering. Pokemon itself has not published a formal slot-by-slot checklist for the block — only Charizard and Pikachu & Zekrom-GX carry a Pokemon-confirmed pick; Palkia LV.X, like the rest, is “reported.”
The Original Print: Great Encounters Palkia LV.X #106/106
The card being reprinted is Palkia LV.X, Diamond & Pearl — Great Encounters (GE), #106/106, 2008 — a Rare Holo LV.X, an Ultra Rare printed at the very top of the set at #106/106, illustrated by Ryo Ueda. On the Japanese side, Bulbapedia’s fetched summary gives the source set as “Shining Darkness” and lists the card number as “DP3” — that reads more like a set-code abbreviation than an actual card number, and we couldn’t independently confirm it, so treat the Japanese original’s exact number as unverified.

The card also received multiple later reprints and promotional releases, including a 2008 Spring Collector’s Tins version, so it stayed in circulation well beyond its original Great Encounters print run.
What LV.X Actually Did
LV.X was a short-lived Diamond & Pearl-era card type built around “levelling up” a Pokemon already on your Bench or Active spot mid-game, rather than evolving normally from a lower stage. Per Bulbapedia, an LV.X card “can use any attack, Poke-Power, or Poke-Body from its previous Level” — meaning a Palkia LV.X in play could fall back on the attacks of the regular Palkia it levelled up from, on top of its own Restructure Power and Hydro Reflect attack. That inheritance is what made LV.X cards function almost like a free upgrade rather than a separate Pokemon: you kept everything the base card could do and added more on top.
LV.X was a Diamond & Pearl-era card type that no longer appears in modern sets, which is part of why an LV.X reprint fits naturally into a “history of the game” block like the Classic Collection.
Comparable Graded Palkia Prints and Current Asks
M6a hasn’t released, so there’s no transaction history yet for 147/103 itself, and we don’t currently list a graded copy of the exact Great Encounters #106/106 original. SNKRDUNK does show asks for Palkia LV.X from the Japanese Standard Constructed Deck “Palkia LV.X” (set code DP3) — the same set code Bulbapedia’s summary referenced for the Japanese original above, though we can’t independently confirm it’s the identical print. As of 11 September 2026, those deck-exclusive Palkia LV.X asks are ¥11,111 for the 1st Edition copy (3 listings) and ¥15,999 for the plain non-1st-Edition version (4 listings) — treat these as evidence of demand for Palkia LV.X generally, not as a price for the Great Encounters #106/106 print specifically. (The regular, non-LV.X Palkia from the same deck asks separately, from ¥2,888.)
