This one is different: it’s built around a villain organization. Cards carrying the JP prefix ロケット団の___ (“Team Rocket’s ___”) tie a specific Pokemon directly to the Team Rocket crime syndicate from the games and anime, rather than to a single Trainer. The anchor set is SV10 “Glory of Team Rocket”, released 18 April 2025 with 132 cards — and at least one of its characters has already been reprinted in a second set, which tells you the naming family isn’t confined to that one release.
This guide covers the three Team Rocket’s-named characters confirmed in our own stock — Mewtwo, Moltres, and Murkrow — across five individual PSA10 prints. It is not a claim that these are the only “Team Rocket’s ___” cards ever printed; it’s scoped to what we can verify and currently list.

What Makes a “Team Rocket’s ___” Card
The naming pattern is literal: the Japanese card name is prefixed ロケット団の___, and the English rendering is “Team Rocket’s [Pokemon name].” It’s a direct textual link between the Pokemon and the villain organization, distinct from cards that are merely Team Rocket-themed in artwork without carrying the name in the title.
In our own stock, three characters carry this exact prefix: Mewtwo, Moltres, and Murkrow. Mewtwo alone accounts for three of the five prints we carry, because it was reprinted into a second set after its SV10 debut — more on that below.

Two things stand out. First, both SAR-rarity prints — Mewtwo 125/098 and Moltres 124/098 — sit well above the SR and AR prints, which tracks with rarity tier more than character popularity. Second, the same character (Mewtwo ex) shows up at three very different price points purely based on which print and which set you’re holding, which is exactly why identifying the specific number matters before you buy or sell.
Team Rocket’s Mewtwo ex (SAR, SV10 125/098): The Flagship
Team Rocket’s Mewtwo ex (JP: ロケット団のミュウツーex) is a Psychic-type Basic Pokemon with 280 HP. Its ability, “Power Saver” (パワーセーバー), requires 4 or more “Team Rocket’s Pokemon” in play before you can attack — a hard restriction that ties directly back to the naming family, since it only functions in a deck built around other “Team Rocket’s ___” cards. Its attack, “Eraser Ball”, costs 3 Energy and deals 160+ damage, with the option to discard bench Energy for an extra 60 damage per Energy discarded.
This is the top-rarity Special Art Rare print of the character, and it’s the highest-priced item in the whole family. The Other Two Mewtwo Prints: SR and the M2a Reprint
The SV10 114/098 SR is the same character and the same ability/attack text as the 125/098 SAR, illustrated by aky CG Works, but printed at the SR rarity tier rather than SAR. It’s the cheapest way to own this character in the SV10 set: our PSA10 copy is currently listed at ¥13,508 (~$85).
The M2a 237/193 SAR matters because it proves the family carried past its debut set. M2a “MEGA Dream ex” released 28 November 2025 with 250 cards, and its Mewtwo ex is a reprint — same ability, same attack text as the SV10 SAR — illustrated in this print by Mitsuhiro Arita. It is not a new card design; it’s the same character carried into a later era with new artwork. Team Rocket’s Moltres ex (SAR, SV10 124/098)
Team Rocket’s Moltres ex (JP: ロケット団のファイヤーex) is a Fire-type Basic Pokemon with 220 HP. It carries two attacks, catalogued by Limitless as “Flame Barrier” and “Evil Burn.” Like the Mewtwo SAR, this is a Special Art Rare print — the top rarity tier the set gave this character.
Our PSA10 copy is currently listed at ¥43,402 (~$273) (update: currently sold out — restock requests via Quick Order), making it the second-highest-priced item in the family behind the Mewtwo SAR. Team Rocket’s Murkrow (AR, SV10 106/098): The Entry Point
Team Rocket’s Murkrow (JP: ロケット団のヤミカラス) is a Darkness-type Basic Pokemon with 80 HP — the smallest and least expensive card in the family. It carries two attacks: one searches your deck for a Supporter card, and the other blocks a specific attack from the opponent’s Active Pokemon.
Printed at Art Rare (AR) rather than SAR or SR, it’s priced accordingly. Our PSA10 copy is currently listed at ¥6,820 (~$43), making it the most affordable entry point into the whole naming family.
