Togepi never headlines a set on its own. It doesn’t need to — it’s the pre-evolution of one of the most collected Fairy-type lines in the game, and it has a card history that’s easy to overlook precisely because none of its prints scream for attention.
Six Japanese Togepi (トゲピー) prints were identified on Limitless TCG’s Japanese card database for this guide: one Tag Team GX card shared with two other baby Pokemon, and five solo commons scattered across five different sets and eras. Beyond those six, our own listing also carries a Secret Rare parallel of that Tag Team GX card that we couldn’t independently verify against Limitless — it’s the most expensive Togepi print currently listed by us in PSA10. This article stays on Togepi’s own pre-evolution stage and its GX-era Tag Team appearance; for the full evolutionary line from Togepi through Togetic to Togekiss, see our Togekiss Japanese cards guide instead.
Togepi appears in six Limitless-verified Japanese prints: one Tag Team GX (with Cleffa and Igglybuff, Double Rare, Tag All Stars SM12a #94) and five solo Common prints spanning Emerald Break, Night Unison, Space Juggler, Super Electric Breaker, and the CP4 Champion Pack. Beyond those six, a Secret Rare parallel of the Togepi, Cleffa & Igglybuff GX card (update: currently sold out — restock requests via Quick Order) — per our own listing title, not independently confirmed on Limitless — is currently listed at ¥120,120 (~$756) (update: currently sold out — restock requests via Quick Order).

Every Togepi Print in One Table
Six Japanese prints of Togepi (トゲピー, Togepii) have been identified across Limitless TCG’s Japanese card database. One is a Tag Team GX card shared with two other baby Pokemon; the other five are solo Common prints from five separate sets.
| # | 카드 | Set (JP code) | No. | Rarity | Release |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Togepi, Cleffa & Igglybuff GX | Tag All Stars (SM12a) | #94 | Double Rare | 4 Oct 2019 |
| 2 | Togepi (solo) | Night Unison (SM9a) | #34 | Common | 11 Jan 2019 |
| 3 | Togepi (solo) | Emerald Break (XY6) | #36 | Common | unverified |
| 4 | Togepi (solo) | Space Juggler (S10P) | #26 | Common | unverified |
| 5 | Togepi (solo) | Super Electric Breaker (SV8) | #45 | Common | unverified |
| 6 | Togepi (solo) | EX x MEGA x BREAK Champion Pack (CP4) | #83 | no special rarity tag on Limitless | unverified |
Where a release date isn’t listed as verified above, we’re leaving it out rather than guessing — the Limitless set pages didn’t surface a confirmed date for those four prints in this research pass. What’s certain from the table itself is the spread: Togepi has appeared in an XY-era set (Emerald Break), Sun & Moon-era sets (Night Unison and Tag All Stars), a Scarlet & Violet-era set (Super Electric Breaker), and one from the Sword & Shield era (Space Juggler). The CP4 Champion Pack’s release date wasn’t confirmed in this research pass, so we’re not assigning it to a specific era here.
The Baby Tag Team GX: Togepi, Cleffa & Igglybuff

Tag All Stars (SM12a), released 4 October 2019, paired Togepi with two other pre-evolution “baby” Pokemon — Cleffa (ピィ) and Igglybuff (ププリン) — on a single Tag Team GX card: トゲピー&ピィ&ププリンGX. The standard print sits at #94 in the set and carries a Double Rare rarity tag on Limitless.
That Double Rare print establishes the card’s identity and artwork family. What’s currently listed by us is a different, higher-numbered parallel of the same card — a seventh print beyond the six Limitless-verified entries in the table above: our listing is titled “Togepi & Cleffa & Igglybuff GX SR: SA[SM12a 186/173 (update: currently sold out — restock requests via Quick Order)]” — a Secret Rare version, going by our own catalogue data. That exact SR print and card number couldn’t be located in the Limitless Japanese database during this research pass, so we’re citing it here as our own listing title rather than as a Limitless-verified catalogue entry. The artwork and card identity trace back to the #94 Double Rare print confirmed above.
This listing is graded PSA10, currently listed at ¥120,120 (~$756) (update: currently sold out — restock requests via Quick Order) — a single graded slab, not a run of copies.
For more on how Tag Team GX cards from this era are valued and identified generally, our Tag Team GX cards guide covers the format across sets, and our GX-era set breakdown has more context on how these Double Rare and Secret Rare parallels typically relate to one another.
The Five Solo Togepi Commons
Outside the Tag Team GX card, Togepi has been reprinted as a solo Common five times, each time in a different set. None carry a special rarity tag on Limitless beyond the base Common designation (CP4’s listing carries no rarity tag at all).
The oldest confirmed date among the solo prints is Night Unison’s #34, released 11 January 2019 — nine months before the Tag All Stars GX card. Our Night Unison card list and Night Unison pull-rate breakdown cover that set in full if you’re chasing anything else from the same release.
How to Tell the Prints Apart
With five of the six prints sharing the same Common rarity, the fastest way to identify which Togepi card you’re holding isn’t the artwork style or rarity — it’s the card number and set code printed at the bottom edge of the card. Each of the five solo prints carries a different set code (SM9a, XY6, S10P, SV8, CP4) and a different card number (#34, #36, #26, #45, #83 respectively), so matching those two details against the table above will confirm the exact print every time.
The Tag Team GX card is easier to spot on sight — it’s the only print that shows Togepi alongside Cleffa and Igglybuff on one card, rather than solo. From there, the distinction is between the standard Double Rare #94 print and any higher-numbered Secret Rare parallel: check the printed card number against the set’s total card count. A number well above the set’s standard count (as with our “186/173”-labelled stock item) signals a secret/parallel print slot rather than the base #94.
Why Collect Togepi on Its Own
Most Togepi collectors are really chasing the evolution line — Togepi into Togetic into Togekiss — and our Togekiss Japanese cards guide is built for that. Collecting Togepi on its own is a narrower, less-crowded lane: six Limitless-verified prints identified in this guide’s research, none from the earliest generations of the game, and a single Tag Team GX appearance rather than the multiple GX/EX/VMAX slots a fully-evolved Pokemon like Togekiss tends to accumulate.
That narrowness is the appeal for set-completion collectors. If your goal is “every Japanese Togepi print identified in this guide” rather than “every Japanese Togepi-line print,” the list here is short: five commons plus one Tag Team GX, with an additional Secret Rare parallel (per our own listing, not independently verified) sitting at the top of the range. It’s also one of the few Tag Team GX slots built entirely from baby-stage Pokemon rather than fully-evolved partners, which is a distinct enough pairing (Togepi, Cleffa, Igglybuff) that it doesn’t overlap with the more commonly discussed GX trios.
