Pikachu 022/103 is a main-set card in M6a 30th CELEBRATION, confirmed in the official card database (pokemon-card.com) with its JP name (ピカチュウ) and illustrator credit. It belongs to a dedicated 30-card Pikachu subset that runs from 017 to 046 — every pack of the set is guaranteed one of these thirty, each drawn by a different artist and carrying a fireworks-style holofoil layer over the whole card, per PokeBeach’s description, plus one Basic Energy card designed by YOSHIROTTEN.
022 is the sixth card in the subset’s sub-numbering, so it’s 06/30 — and its English-set equivalent is EN 028, following the compiled checklist rule that the EN number equals 22 plus the sub-number. The card text, per PokeBeach’s September 9, 2026 translation of the official database entry, is one Ability and one attack:
- Ability: Lonely Gaze — As long as this Pokémon is in the Active Spot, attacks used by your opponent’s Active Pokémon do 20 less damage (before applying Weakness and Resistance).
- [L][C] Pika Ball — 20 damage.
Weakness is Fighting (×2), there’s no listed Resistance, and retreat cost is 1 Energy. At HP60, it’s the lowest-HP entry among the five Pikachu compared in this guide, but it’s the only one carrying a passive Ability, which makes it a defensive-support pick rather than a straight attacker — a different design lane again from the set-opening Sugimori card’s Thunder Shock. Per Bulbapedia (fetched September 16, 2026), sowsow is credited on social media as “@sowsowkoubou,” and the page indicates a birth year of 1988. The illustrator’s first TCG cards were Avalugg, Inkay and Cubone, from the Forbidden Light expansion. Bulbapedia credits sowsow with 111 cards illustrated so far for the physical TCG, plus 33 cards appearing in Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket.

All thirty Pikachu cards share the same fireworks holofoil treatment and the same basic setup — different illustrator, different attack or ability, a Basic Pokémon slot around 50–80 HP — and 022 is the sixth card, five spots after the set-opening print. That opening card, 017/103, is illustrated by Ken Sugimori and, per PokeBeach’s coverage, recreates his own Pikachu artwork from the Jungle expansion; 022 follows it as 06/30.
PokeBeach reported, from an official box opening shown before release, that one 20-pack box held 20 of the 30 Pikachu, 2 Classic Collection cards, 4 AR, 1 SAR and 1 FUR — one opening, not a published rate. We’re not converting that into odds for any individual number, including 022. The Pokémon Company has not published pull rates for this set.
