SM8 is 超爆インパクト (Super-Burst Impact), an expansion pack released in Japan on September 7, 2018, with 95 cards in the main numbering. Bulbapedia’s list of Japanese expansions (as of September 15, 2026) pairs it with the English set Lost Thunder. The number 100 is above the 95-card main count.

The official pokemon.com page for Sun & Moon—Lost Thunder dates the English set November 2, 2018 and names Lugia-GX among its Pokémon-GX in the overview. The Three Super-Burst Impact Lugia GX Prints Side by Side

Bulbapedia’s card page for Lugia-GX (Lost Thunder 159), as of September 30, 2026, lists the three Super-Burst Impact prints and pairs each with a Lost Thunder card. Its release note states that the card was included as a regular card, a full-art card and a secret Rainbow Rare in Lost Thunder, first released in the Japanese Super-Burst Impact expansion, each with artwork by PLANETA Igarashi.

The English rarity names are each source’s own wording, not the Japanese rarity codes; Limitless, for example, labels the Japanese SR as a Secret Rare. All three English cards are credited to PLANETA Igarashi on Limitless, and the regulation mark is not shown on the English pages. Attacks and GX Attack as Printed

The database text for SM8 100/095 gives the card two attacks and one GX attack. It follows the Pokémon-GX rule: when it is knocked out, the opponent takes 2 Prize cards.
