Zorua’s whole identity on the show is disguise — but on the card itself, one printing pulls off a switch that has nothing to do with illusion. Every standard Zorua in this lineup is a Dark type. Hisuian Zorua isn’t. It’s Psychic, tied to the regional form the card is actually printed as, and it’s the one detail that trips up buyers scanning listings for “any Zorua.”
This guide covers six confirmed Japanese Zorua prints across six sets, from the current-era Trainer-named “N’s Zorua” to the 2018 Dark Order original, plus what’s known so far about the new 2026 Zorua & Zoroark ex starter set. It’s a sourcing guide, not a price guide — we don’t hold single Zorua cards in stock to quote, so instead of invented ask prices, every set below links to the sealed booster box it actually comes out of. We ship Japanese sealed product out of Tokyo every week, and the box catalog referenced here is our own.
Six confirmed Zorua prints span six Japanese sets between 2018 and 2025, plus a brand-new 2026 starter set still being catalogued. The headline detail: Hisuian Zorua (S10a 29/071) is a Psychic type, while every other Zorua on this list is Dark. We don’t stock individual Zorua singles, but if you’re chasing Hisuian Zorua specifically, our S10A Dark Phantasma Booster Box is currently listed at ¥28,500 (~$175), and restock requests for other prints run through 快速下单.
Box prices below reflect our own catalog as of August 2026, converted at ¥163/USD (2026-07 basis). This guide does not include Japanese secondary-market ask prices for individual Zorua cards.
Every Confirmed Zorua Print
Six Zorua prints across six sets, from the newest Art Rares back to the 2018 original:
| 卡牌 | Number | Rarity | Set | Year |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Zorua (AR) | SV11W 140/086 | AR | White Flare | 2025 |
| N’s Zorua (AR) | SV9 108/100 | AR | Battle Partners | 2025 |
| Zorua (AR) | SV6a 72/064 | AR | Night Wanderer | 2024 |
| Hisuian Zorua | S10a 29/071 | C | Dark Phantasma | 2022 |
| Zorua | S12a 90/172 | — | VSTAR Universe | 2022 |
| Zorua | SM8a 25/052 | C | Dark Order | 2018 |
Five of the six are Dark type. The outlier is Hisuian Zorua, and it isn’t a cosmetic variant — it’s a different Pokemon form with a different type printed on the card. That’s the detail worth understanding before you buy, so it’s where this guide starts.
The Type Switch: Hisuian Zorua

Hisuian Zorua, printed in Dark Phantasma (S10a 29/071), is a 60 HP Psychic type — not Dark, which is what every other card in this guide is. It’s illustrated by Akira Komayama and carries two low-cost moves: “Collect,” which draws a card, and “Mumble,” a 10-damage attack. The type change follows the Hisuian regional form itself rather than being a printing quirk, and it makes Hisuian Zorua the entry point into a small family of Hisuian-form cards from the same set, including Hisuian Zoroark VSTAR.
The English-language equivalent of this card sits in Lost Origin as card #75, part of the same wave of Hisuian-form prints that set introduced internationally. If you’re comparing listings across languages, matching the card number against the set rather than the name alone is the safer way to confirm you’re looking at the same print, since “Zorua” on its own covers both the Dark-type and Psychic-type versions.
If you’re new to the Hisuian branch of the Pokemon card lineup more broadly, our Hisuian Pokemon cards guide covers the wider set of regional-form prints it belongs to. For the rest of what Dark Phantasma has to offer beyond Zorua, see our Dark Phantasma best cards guide.
If a listing just says “Zorua” without specifying Hisuian, assume Dark type. Hisuian Zorua is the only Psychic-type printing among the six confirmed cards here, and it only comes from Dark Phantasma (S10a).
The Trainer-Named Print: N’s Zorua

Battle Partners introduced “N’s Zorua” (SV9 108/100, Art Rare), a Dark-type, 70 HP card illustrated by Megumi Mizutani with a single attack, “Scratch,” for 20 damage. The name ties it to Trainer N, and this specific Zorua evolves into N’s Zoroark ex within the same card family. A standard-rarity version of the same card sits at SV9 60/100, and the print itself first appeared as SVP promo 200 before Battle Partners gave it a full set slot.
Internationally, this card corresponds to Journey Together #97. Because the SVP promo predates the Battle Partners release, you may see both a promo-numbered copy and a set-numbered copy of the same illustration listed separately — they’re the same artwork and card text under two different print codes.
This guide covers the Zorua side of that line only. For the evolved N’s Zoroark ex itself, see our N’s Zoroark ex cards guide.
The Modern Art Rares: Night Wanderer and White Flare
Night Wanderer (SV6a 72/064) gave Zorua its first Art Rare treatment, illustrated by REND: Dark type, 70 HP, with “Stampede” for 10 damage and “Double Scratch,” a two-coin-flip attack worth 20 damage per heads. A standard-rarity copy of the same card sits at SV6a 31/064, and the print was reprinted again in Terastal Fest ex (SV8a 96). Internationally, this illustration corresponds to Shrouded Fable #75, listed there as an Illustration Rare.
White Flare (SV11W 140/086) added a second modern Art Rare, illustrated by Naoki Saito: Dark type, 70 HP, with a single attack, “Take Down,” for 30 damage that costs Zorua 10 damage in recoil. White Flare itself is built around Black & White-era remake material — if that period of the Japanese card game is what you’re after more broadly, our BW-era Japanese Pokemon guide covers it in full. The standard-rarity version of this Zorua sits at SV11W 58/086, and the international counterpart is White Flare #142, also an Illustration Rare.
Between them, these two Art Rares are the prints most collectors run into first if they’re browsing recent Japanese Zorua cards rather than hunting older sets — both are current-print, both saw a reprint or cross-set appearance, and both have a direct English-language match for anyone cross-referencing a collection across languages.
Where It Started: VSTAR Universe and Dark Order
The Zorua printed in VSTAR Universe (S12a 90/172), illustrated by ryoma uratsuka, is Dark type, 70 HP, with “Rear Kick” for 30 damage. It isn’t a new illustration — it’s a reprint of the card that first appeared in Eevee Heroes (S6a 49) back in 2021, carried forward into the 2022 chase-card compilation set. Internationally, this illustration corresponds to Evolving Skies #102.
The oldest confirmed print in this guide is the Dark Order original (SM8a 25/052, Common) from 2018, illustrated by Naoyo Kimura: Dark type, 60 HP, with the attack “Hide in Shadows,” which switches Zorua with a Benched Pokemon. It was reprinted again the following year in Tag All Stars (SM12a 78). Between the Eevee Heroes original, its VSTAR Universe reprint, and the Dark Order-to-Tag All Stars pair, Zorua has now appeared in at least two separate reprint cycles before the 2026 starter set added a third.
The 2026 Starter Set
Zorua and Zoroark got a dedicated release on July 31, 2026: the “ex Starter Set Zorua & Zoroark ex,” which includes two separate Zorua prints (MEZ 6 and MEZ 20) inside a single starter product. We haven’t catalogued the individual card details for these two prints yet, so we’re not listing rarities or attack text for them here — treat this as confirmation that the set exists and covers Zorua twice, not a full breakdown. If you’re after the new starter set itself, our Quick Order page is the fastest way to check current availability.
Chasing Zorua Through Sealed Boxes
We don’t hold individual Zorua singles in stock, so the direct route to any of these prints is the booster box each one actually comes from. Since Hisuian Zorua is the headline card in this guide, that’s the box worth starting with:
For the rest of the lineup, here’s the box each print comes out of:
- SV11W White Flare Booster Box — currently listed from ¥20,800 (~$128), or the DX version from ¥18,720 (~$115)
- SV9 Battle Partners Booster Box — currently listed from ¥10,400 (~$64) (更新:当前售罄 — 可通过 Quick Order 申请补货)
- SV6A Night Wanderer Booster Box — currently listed from ¥10,400 (~$64)
- SV8A Terastal Festival ex Booster Box — currently listed from ¥19,760 (~$121), for the Night Wanderer Zorua reprint
- S12A VSTAR Universe Booster Box — currently listed at ¥33,280 (~$204)
- S6A Eevee Heroes Booster Box — currently listed at ¥159,600 (~$979), for the original 2021 printing this Zorua traces back to
None of these boxes are printed with a guaranteed Zorua pull, and Dark Order (SM8a) currently has no sealed box in our catalog to link. For restock requests, single-card sourcing, or anything not listed above, use 快速下单.
