Bulbapedia’s list of Japanese expansions (snapshot September 15, 2026) points a Rebel Clash booster box to two Japanese boxes: Rebellion Crash (S2) and VMAX Rising (S1a), which it describes as part of Rebel Clash. pokemon.com prints the English release date as May 1, 2020 and the card count as “Over 190”; S1a released on February 7, 2020 and S2 on March 6, 2020.
The English sealed product on the official gallery is an Elite Trainer Box with 8 packs. S2 is a 96-card main set with 5 cards a pack at ¥165 a pack at launch.
We sell Japanese sealed product and graded singles from Tokyo. USD figures convert at ¥154/USD, approximate.
The English set is officially listed at “Over 190” cards, with 15 Pokémon V and 7 Pokémon VMAX, and its Elite Trainer Box holds 8 packs. Limitless matches all 18 English Ultra Rare cards to SR prints in Japan: 10 in S2 and 8 in S1a. The Japanese Rebellion Crash box is currently listed at ¥50,669 (~$329) and the SNKRDUNK lowest ask on September 30, 2026 was ¥49,800 (~$323).
- As of September 30, 2026, Limitless lists 209 rows for the English set: 192 numbered cards and 17 secret-numbered cards.
- As of September 30, 2026, Limitless lists a Japanese SR print for every one of the 18 English Ultra Rare cards; the 17 English Rainbow Rare and gold Secret Rare cards have no verified same-tier Japanese counterpart.
- Full Japanese card lists: Rebellion Crash (S2) and VMAX Rising (S1a).
One English Set, Two Japanese Sets
Two Japanese sets feed the English Rebel Clash card list. S2 Rebellion Crash is the one Bulbapedia pairs with Rebel Clash directly; S1a VMAX Rising is listed as part of it. No official page states that the English set equals either Japanese set, so the pairing is Bulbapedia’s and the card matches further down are Limitless’s.
| Code | Japanese name | Release | Main-set cards | Cards per pack | Launch price per pack | Bulbapedia pairing |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| S1a | VMAXライジング (VMAX Rising) | February 7, 2020 | 70 | 5 | ¥165 | Part of Rebel Clash |
| S2 | 反逆クラッシュ (Rebellion Crash) | March 6, 2020 | 96 | 5 | ¥165 | Rebel Clash |
The split shows in the cards. The English set’s 18 Ultra Rare cards divide 10 to S2 and 8 to S1a, so no single Japanese box holds them all. Rillaboom V, Cinderace V, Inteleon V, Boltund V, Sandaconda V and Dubwool V sit in S1a; Eldegoss V, Ninetales V, Milotic V, Toxtricity V, Dragapult V, Falinks V, Malamar V and Copperajah V sit in S2.

Numbering differs as well. Japanese cards run on a /096 base in S2 and a /070 base in S1a, so the full-art SR cards read 097/096 to 106/096 and 071/070 to 078/070. English cards run on a /192 base per pokemon-tcg-data, since the pokemon.com page prints no denominator.
How the English Kartenliste Is Built
As of September 30, 2026, Limitless lists 209 rows for the English set (a May 1, 2020 release). Rows 1 to 192 are the numbered set and rows 193 to 209 are the 17 secret-numbered cards. The printed total of 192 is cited to pokemon-tcg-data, a third-party dataset; the pokemon.com page prints only “Over 190”.
| Limitless rarity label | Rows |
|---|---|
| Common | 50 |
| Uncommon | 51 |
| Rare | 32 |
| Holo Rare | 18 |
| Double Rare | 23 |
| Ultra Rare | 18 |
| Rainbow Rare | 11 |
| Secret Rare | 6 |
| Total rows | 209 |
These are Limitless labels, not official rarity names. Limitless files the 23 standard V and VMAX cards under Double Rare, the 18 cards numbered 175 to 192 under Ultra Rare, and the secret rows under Rainbow Rare (193 to 203) and Secret Rare (204 to 209).
18 English Ultra Rare Cards and Their Japanese Prints
Limitless lists the Japanese prints of each English card as a JP print of the same card. Every Ultra Rare card has two Japanese prints in the paired sets: a main-set RR card (an R or U card for the Trainers) and a full-art SR card numbered above the main set. In each row the SR card carries the same illustrator credit as the English card. Where a PSA 10 copy is offered, the last column names it; PSA 10 back orders are sourced to order and the product page shows the current terms (see how PSA 10 back orders work).

Dragapult V and Toxtricity V
English 183 Dragapult V pairs with S2 101/096 ドラパルトV (SR), credited to aky CG Works; its main-set print is S2 049/096 (RR). English 182 Toxtricity V pairs with S2 100/096 ストリンダーV (SR), credited to 5ban Graphics, with S2 036/096 as the RR print. The official overview names Toxtricity V among the V cards.

Oleana and Boss’s Orders
The Supporters carry SR prints numbered at the end of S2. English 191 Oleana pairs with S2 105/096 オリーヴ (SR), credited to kirisAki, with a U print at 090/096. English 189 Boss’s Orders pairs with S2 106/096 ボスの指令 (SR), credited to nagimiso, with an R print at 092/096. Both cards are offered as PSA 10 listings: Oleana at ¥8,320 (~$54) and Boss’s Orders at ¥30,160 (~$196), each with a back-order listing beside it in the table.

Inteleon V and Sonia
The S1a half of the list is smaller but follows the same pattern. English 180 Inteleon V pairs with S1a 073/070 インテレオンV (SR), credited to 5ban Graphics, with S1a 022/070 as the RR print. English 192 Sonia pairs with S1a 077/070 ソニア (SR), credited to Naoki Saito, with a U print at 065/070. Sonia SR is offered as a PSA 10 back order at ¥43,819 (~$285); Sonia HR 082/070 is offered as a PSA 10 back order at ¥13,260 (~$86). Our Sonia HR 082/070 and SR 077/070 guide covers both Japanese prints.

The Seven VMAX Cards and Their Rainbow Rare Versions
The official page counts 7 Pokémon VMAX in the set, and the Limitless list shows the same seven as numbered cards. Each has a Rainbow Rare version in the secret rows, English 193 to 199. The Japanese prints of the same VMAX cards are RRR cards, three in S1a and four in S2.
| VMAX card | English numbered card | English Rainbow Rare | Japanese print of the same VMAX |
|---|---|---|---|

Limitless does not list a Japanese HR or UR row for these VMAX cards, so the RRR print is the Japanese card of the same name and text rather than a verified same-tier match to the Rainbow Rare. Our Dragapult card guide covers the Japanese Dragapult prints in more detail.
Rainbow Rare Trainers and Gold Secret Cards
The remaining ten secret rows are four Rainbow Rare Trainers (200 to 203) and six gold Secret Rare cards (204 to 209). The Trainers carry the same illustrator credits as their Ultra Rare versions: Boss’s Orders to nagimiso, Milo to Hitoshi Ariga, Oleana to kirisAki and Sonia to Naoki Saito.

| 209 | Twin Energy | Secret Rare | S1a 070/070 ツインエネルギー (U) | not listed |
Three of the gold cards, Frosmoth, Galarian Perrserker and Big Charm, have no Japanese print in S2 or S1a; Limitless lists their Japanese prints in other sets. Scoop Up Net, Tool Scrapper and Twin Energy do have an S2 or S1a print, at the regular U tier. No same-tier Japanese counterpart is verified for any of the ten.
S2 or S1a: Which Japanese Set Holds Which Card
