What Is the Mega Gardevoir EX 156/103 Reprint?
The official card list for 30th CELEBRATION (M6a) was published on 9 September 2026 and covers the main set 001–103, the Classic Collection 136–165, and the eight Basic Energy. Mega Gardevoir EX 156/103 sits inside that officially listed Classic Collection block — a run of 30 reprints, numbered 136 through 165, that Pokémon’s card database marks with a “C”-style symbol beside the M6a set code. Per the official caveat that applies to the whole block, Classic Collection cards are not usable under the current Standard regulation; they remain legal only in whatever format the original printing is legal in.
The reprint’s credited illustrator, per the official database, is 5ban Graphics — the same illustrator credited on the original 2015 Primal Clash print. That’s a separate credit from the later Generations reprint of this same card, which used shiny artwork by a different illustrator (Megumi Mizutani); the 30th reprint’s artwork lines up with the original Primal Clash print, not the Generations shiny variant.
The Original 2015 M Gardevoir-EX: Print History and Card Text
The card 156/103 reprints is M Gardevoir-EX from Primal Clash, card 106 of 160, released in English on 4 February 2015. A Full Art print (156/160) also exists from the same era, and the card was separately reprinted in Generations (RC31/RC32) with different shiny artwork. On the Japanese side, Bulbapedia traces the card to the “Tidal Storm” expansion, regular print 051/070 and a secret rare 076/070.

As a Pokémon-EX, the card carries the era’s standard EX rule: the opponent takes two Prize cards instead of one when it’s Knocked Out. It’s also a Mega Evolution Pokémon-EX specifically, which means Mega Evolving into it ends your turn immediately — the trade-off the whole Mega mechanic was built around during the XY block, in exchange for the higher HP and heavier attack scaling Brilliant Arrow offers once enough Fairy Energy is on board.
Why M Gardevoir-EX Is in the Classic Collection
Pokémon’s official communication around the Classic Collection describes the block only as 特別仕様 (“special specification”) treatment; it doesn’t publish a card-by-card rationale for why any individual card was chosen. What we can point to, sourced directly to Bulbapedia’s card notes, is that this same Gardevoir was significant enough to get a second, separate print run — the separate Generations reprint (RC31/RC32) used all-new shiny Mega Gardevoir artwork, distinct from the original Primal Clash art this 30th reprint uses. That’s a rare distinction among EX-era cards: getting reprinted with new art within the same generation, well before this 30th-anniversary treatment.
Whatever Pokémon’s internal selection logic was, the practical result is that 156/103 puts a recognisable Mega Evolution attacker from the 2015 Primal Clash era back into current packs, in the same special finish as the other 29 Classic Collection cards.

M6a hasn’t released, so there’s no real sale or graded population to cite for Mega Gardevoir EX 156/103 itself yet. SNKRDUNK — a Japanese resale marketplace — showed the following lowest live asking prices for M Gardevoir EX cards as of 11 September 2026 (any condition; asks are seller listings, not sales). A 1st Edition M Gardevoir EX RR from Pokekyun Collection (CP3 020/032) asked ¥58,000 (17 listings); a 1st Edition M Gardevoir EX RR from the “Tidal Storm” expansion itself (XY5-T 051/070) — the same Japanese origin set as this print — asked ¥13,800 (8 listings); and a 1st Edition M Gardevoir EX SR from Cruel Traitor (XY11-1 057/054) asked ¥94,999 (6 listings). A lower-rarity BW-era print (BW 016/048) asked as little as ¥2,500 (14 listings).
None of these figures describe 156/103 — M6a single cards have no live asks yet, since the set hasn’t released.
M6a 30th CELEBRATION: Release Format

- The compiled card list runs 165 numbered cards plus eight Basic Energy (173 in all; PokeBeach’s headline figure is 176).
PokeBeach reported, from an official box opening shown before release, that one 20-pack box held 20 of the 30 Pikachu, 2 Classic Collection cards, 4 AR, 1 SAR and 1 FUR — one opening, not a published rate. No pull rate for any single Classic Collection card, including Mega Gardevoir EX 156/103, has been published.
