Phantasmal Flames Booster Bundle & Box vs Japanese M2 (Pokemon)

Phantasmal Flames Booster Bundle & Box vs Japanese M2 (Pokemon)

The Phantasmal Flames Booster Bundle holds six packs; the Display holds thirty-six.

The tcg.pokemon.com expansion page for Phantasmal Flames lists the Booster Bundle as six booster packs and the Booster Display as 36 packs, each with 10 cards, 1 Basic Energy and a Pokémon TCG Live code card. The pokemon.com set page dates the English set to November 14, 2025, and Bulbapedia’s list of Japanese expansions (snapshot September 15, 2026) pairs it with Japan’s M2 Inferno X.

English retail calls the 36-pack product a Display rather than a booster box. The Japanese set we list is sold as a booster box. We sell Japanese sealed product and graded singles from Tokyo. USD figures convert at ¥154/USD, approximate.

Key Takeaways
  • English pack products: Booster Bundle (six packs), Booster Display (36 packs, 10 cards + 1 Basic Energy + 1 Live code card per pack), Build & Battle Box (4 packs and a 40-card deck). No MSRP is printed on the official pages.

The English Pack Products Side by Side

The tcg.pokemon.com expansion page for Phantasmal Flames lists five products: the Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box, the Elite Trainer Box, the Booster Bundle, the Booster Display and the Build & Battle Box. Three of them are built mainly around booster packs, and the two ETBs add accessories. Our companion article on the Phantasmal Flames ETB versus Japanese M2 Inferno X covers the ETBs in full.

English product Booster packs Other printed contents
Booster Bundle 6 None listed
Booster Display 36 Each pack: 10 cards, 1 Basic Energy, 1 Live code card
Build & Battle Box 4 40-card ready-to-play deck including 1 of 4 unique foil promo cards; Live code card
Elite Trainer Box 9 Charcadet promo, 65 sleeves, 40 Energy cards, dice, coin, box, Live code card
Pokémon Center ETB 11 Two Charcadet promos, same accessories

The Booster Bundle’s description on tcg.pokemon.com reads: “Expand your collection with this Booster Bundle containing six booster packs from Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution—Phantasmal Flames”. The official pages state no MSRP for any of the five products.

What the Official Pages Call a Booster Box

The tcg.pokemon.com page names the 36-pack product the Booster Display, and the pokemon.com news post “Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution—Phantasmal Flames Product Showcase” carries a “Booster Display Box” section.

The printed description is: “Includes 36 Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution—Phantasmal Flames booster packs. Each booster pack contains 10 cards, 1 Basic Energy, and 1 Pokémon TCG Live code card. Cards vary by pack.”

The Booster Bundle is a separate product, described on the same page as six packs from the same set.

Bundle, Display, Box: Match the Word to the Pack Count

Six packs is the Booster Bundle. Thirty-six packs is the Booster Display (the English “booster box”). The Japanese product we list is a booster box of M2 Inferno X packs.

Spec Table: English Packs vs the Japanese Box

The English Bundle and Display are different sizes of the same kind of product: sealed packs of the English set. The Japanese box is the same kind of product for a different-language set, paired to the English one by Bulbapedia. No official source states the two sets are equal.

A Pack Compared: 10 Cards vs 5

The printed pack sizes differ. An English Phantasmal Flames pack holds 10 cards plus a Basic Energy and a code card. A Japanese M2 pack holds five cards; the ¥180 price per pack is the M2 set MSRP given by Bulbapedia’s list of Japanese expansions (snapshot September 15, 2026).

The set sizes differ as well: the English set has 130 cards, while the Japanese main set has 80 numbered cards and a numbering that runs to 116. No pull rate is published for either set, so nothing here compares how often a given card appears.

Point of comparison English Japanisch
Main set (numbered) 94 (95/94 is the first card past the main set) 80
Highest number seen 130 (Limitless lists 130 cards) 116/080 on pokemon-card.com
Published pull rates None None

Bundle Against Display: The Per-Pack View

The Display and the Bundle are the same kind of product at two sizes. The tcg.pokemon.com page prints 36 packs for the Display and six for the Bundle, so the Display holds six times as many packs. The Display listing also prints what one pack contains (10 cards, 1 Basic Energy and a Live code card); the Bundle listing prints only the pack count, so the cards per Bundle pack are not stated on that page.

The Build & Battle Box sits below the Bundle in pack count with four packs, but it adds a 40-card ready-to-play deck with 1 of 4 unique foil promo cards. The two ETBs sit above the Bundle, at nine and eleven packs, with accessories instead of a deck. Each of these products draws on the same 130-card English set, so what differs is how many packs, and what extras, come in the box.

The Japanese pack is smaller: five cards at ¥180 per Bulbapedia’s list. Set beside the English 10-card pack, that is half the Karten pro Pack.

How the 130-Card English Set Is Built

Limitless TCG lists 130 cards for Phantasmal Flames as of September 30, 2026: a 94-card main set and a 36-card secret subset numbered 95–130. The pokemon.com set page describes the same content as “Over 120 cards”, with 10 Trainer cards and more than 15 Pokémon and Trainer cards with special illustrations.

Numbers Tier (Limitless label) Cards
1–94 Main set: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Double Rare 94
95–107 Art Rare (AR) 13
108–124 Ultra Rare 17
125–129 Special Art Rare (SAR) 5
130 Secret Rare 1

These are counts of cards that exist, not of how many appear per pack. The remaining sections use the two tiers where a Japanese match is easiest to check: the ARs here, and the top of the set in the section after.

The 13 AR Cards and Their M2 Prints

Limitless TCG lists a Japanese M2 print in the same tier for 11 of the 13 English AR cards (as of September 30, 2026), with the same illustrator on both prints. Where our store lists the card, the listing is a PSA 10 back order — sourced to order; the product page shows the current terms. How PSA back orders work is explained in Back Order a PSA 10 Card from Japan.

106 Meowth Uninori No match found — —
107 Ambipom Shigenori Negishi 92 エテボース ¥4,294 (~$28)

Paldean Wooper and Meowth are the two exceptions. Limitless lists SV-P promo prints for both with the same illustrator (No. 193 for Paldean Wooper, No. 192 for Meowth), but the promos carry no rarity and it has not been verified whether the art is identical, so they are not treated as matches. The Japanese M2 numbers here are the card’s place in the Japanese set; the M2 card list on our site shows all 116.

The English AR numbers 95 to 107 and the matched Japanese numbers 81 to 92 run in the same order: 95 to 81, 96 to 82, 97 to 84, 98 to 85, 99 to 86, 100 to 87, 101 to 88, 103 to 89, 104 to 90, 105 to 91 and 107 to 92. Japanese No. 83 is not among the matches Limitless lists for the English ARs.

The Top of the Numbering in Brief

The English SAR cards (125–129) and the Secret Rare (130) each have an M2 print on pokemon-card.com with the same illustrator. The English SAR numbers 125, 126, 127, 128 and 129 sit at M2 numbers 110, 112, 113, 114 and 115, and the English Secret Rare 130 at M2 116. Illustrator detail for these six cards is in the ETB comparison article linked above; here they appear with their official Japanese images.

The Japanese Box: Store Listing and SNKRDUNK Ask

M2 Inferno X Japanese Pokemon booster box
M2 Inferno X Japanese booster box

The Japanese counterpart of the 36-pack Booster Display is a booster box of M2 Inferno X packs. The M2 Inferno X booster box is a variable product. Its No Shrink option is currently listed at ¥12,668 (~$82), and the Sealed option is sold out at the time of this update — restock requests go through Quick Order.

The English pages print the Display’s pack count (36). For the Japanese box, Bulbapedia’s figure is taken from a sibling set, so a pack count per Japanese box is not confirmed. The lowest ask on SNKRDUNK, September 30, 2026, for the sealed M2 Inferno X box listing is ¥15,500 (~$101), and ¥13,500 (~$88) for the shrink-less listing; both are asking prices, not sales.

Which Product Answers Which Question

The products differ in what they contain, so the useful question is what a buyer wants to hold.

If you want Produkt What the sources print
A small number of English packs Booster Bundle Six packs
The English “booster box” volume Booster Display 36 packs, 10 cards + Energy + code card each
Packs plus a ready-to-play deck Build & Battle Box 4 packs, 40-card deck, 1 of 4 promos
Japanese-printed cards of the set M2 Inferno X box 5-card packs at ¥180 per pack (set MSRP)
One specific Japanese card, graded PSA 10 listing or back order Card number printed as M2 xxx/080

A buyer who wants the English set’s cards in English buys English product. A buyer who wants the Japanese prints of the chase cards has the two routes in the last two rows. The card-level matches above show which English numbers correspond to which Japanese numbers.
