Two Products, Two Routes to the Cards
English collectors meet Phantasmal Flames through retail products: an Elite Trainer Box, a Pokémon Center ETB, a Booster Bundle, a Booster Display and a Build & Battle Box. The tcg.pokemon.com expansion page lists exactly those five. The Japanese route runs through M2 Inferno X, an expansion pack sold in boxes of packs.

The ETB is built around play and storage: the sleeves, Energy cards, dice, coin and divided box account for most of the list.
The official pages do not state an MSRP for either ETB.
The Pokémon Center ETB Difference
The Pokémon Center ETB is the same kit with two changes on the printed list: eleven packs instead of nine, and a second Charcadet promo that carries the Pokémon Center logo alongside the standard full-art foil Charcadet.
Everything else in the table above matches line for line.
Counting packs is the easy part. The English ETB and the Japanese box are different products with different extras; neither is a substitute for the other.

The English Set: What the Official Page Prints
The pokemon.com set page for Mega Evolution—Phantasmal Flames reads “Release Date November 14, 2025”, “Number of Cards Over 120” and “Standard Legal Deck? Yes”. Its highlights list more new Mega Evolution Pokémon ex, 10 Trainer cards, and more than 15 Pokémon and Trainer cards with special illustrations.
The pokemon.com card database numbers the main set to 94: Wondrous Patch is printed 94/94, and Ludicolo follows as 95/94. Limitless TCG lists 130 cards for the set as of September 30, 2026, which means a 36-card secret subset numbered 95–130.

Japan’s M2 Inferno X and the Spec Comparison
The Japanese set is M2 Inferno X (インフェルノX is the Japanese title; the code is M2). Bulbapedia’s list of Japanese expansions (snapshot September 15, 2026) gives it a September 26, 2025 release, a ¥180 price per pack, five Karten pro Pack and an 80-card main set. The pokemon-card.com database prints the top card as 116/080, so the numbered list runs past the main set in the same way the English one does.

Which route suits a buyer depends on what they want from it: the ETB is the accessory kit, the box is the booster product. A buyer who wants Japanese-printed cards of the chase tier starts with the box or the graded singles.
Card-by-Card: What Limitless Matches to M2
Limitless TCG’s English card pages list the Japanese prints of each card. Filtering those to prints in M2 with the corresponding rarity tier, Limitless (as of September 30, 2026) lists a match for 34 of the 36 cards numbered 95–130. On every match the illustrator credited on the English print and the Japanese print is the same.

Rarity labels for the English cards follow Limitless TCG; the Japanese SAR and MUR codes are the icons printed on pokemon-card.com, and the SR codes follow Limitless’s Secret Rare tier. Two AR cards have no match in M2: Paldean Wooper (No. 102, illustrated by OKACHEKE) and Meowth (No. 106, illustrated by Uninori). Limitless lists SV-P promo prints 193 and 192 with the same illustrators, but those promos carry no rarity and whether the art is identical has not been verified.

The M2 Inferno X booster box is a variable product. Its No Shrink option is currently listed at ¥12,668 (~$82); the Sealed option is sold out at the time of this update — restock requests go through Quick Order.
For a market reference, the lowest ask on SNKRDUNK, September 30, 2026, for the sealed M2 Inferno X box listing is ¥15,500 (~$101); the shrink-less listing on SNKRDUNK shows a lowest ask of ¥13,500 (~$88). Both are asking prices, not sales.

Reading a Card’s Region at a Glance
Limitless credits the same illustrator on matched prints, so check these four printed details instead.
- The number denominator. English Phantasmal Flames cards print over 94 (No. 125 is 125/94). The Japanese cards print over 080 (Mega Charizard X ex SAR is 110/080).
- The number itself. A matched card sits at a different number in each region: Mega Charizard X ex SAR is 125 in English and 110 in M2; Dawn SAR is 129 in English and 115 in M2.
- The card name language. The Japanese Dawn prints as ヒカリ; the English one as Dawn.
- The rarity tier naming. The English top card is the Secret Rare (No. 130); Limitless matches it to the MUR (116/080).
