The pokemon.com set page describes Hidden Fates as “A wild set loaded with all-time favorites” and lists five headline items: Over 150 cards, 1 brand-new TAG TEAM Pokémon-GX trio, 8 more new Pokémon-GX, 15 Trainer cards and Over 75 Shiny Pokémon. The product gallery gives full contents for six sealed products.

None of the six gallery entries is a booster box, so no booster-box pack count is printed among them. The Ultra-Premium Collection names Shiny Rayquaza-GX; that card is not among the English cards Limitless TCG matches below. The Poké Ball Collection’s Shiny Zoroark-GX and Shiny Metagross-GX are not among the matched English cards either; the Japanese SM8b SSR prints Zoroark-GX 231/150 and Metagross-GX 234/150 are offered as PSA 10 back orders at ¥23,205 (~$151) and ¥36,720 (~$238).

Limitless TCG lists 163 cards for the set as of September 30, 2026: 68 numbered cards plus 95 rows above 68 or numbered SV1 to SV94. The printed total of 68 comes from pokemon-tcg-data, a third-party source. Limitless’s own rarity labels split the 163 cards as follows.

How the English Set Maps to Japan

No official source states that English Hidden Fates equals a Japanese set. The set-level pairing is Bulbapedia’s (snapshot September 15, 2026): SM8b is listed against Hidden Fates (Shiny Vault), and SM10b Sky Legend, released April 26, 2019 with 54 main-set cards, is listed as parts of Hidden Fates and Unified Minds. At card level, each Limitless TCG card page lists the Japanese prints that share the English card’s game text, and the official Japanese card database supplies the Japanese number, rarity icon and illustrator credit for each print.

Of the 98 English cards in the Shiny Vault and full-art range, Limitless TCG lists the following matches.

A buyer who wants a Shiny Vault card in Japanese therefore looks at one set for 80 of the 94 cards: SM8b GX Ultra Shiny.

The 45 Shiny Pokémon, SV1 to SV45, and Their SM8b Prints

The 45 Shiny Pokémon are numbered SV1 to SV45 in the English list and carry no GX suffix. Limitless TCG lists one SM8b print for each, and the Japanese numbers run in the same order: SV1 Scyther is SM8b 161/150 and SV45 Type: Null is SM8b 205/150, so the Japanese number is the English SV number plus 160. The official database credits each Japanese print to the same illustrator as the English card, and shows the S rarity icon on each.

The Tag Team Cards, 66 to 69, and SM10b Sky Legend

English cards 66 to 69 sit outside the Shiny Vault numbering. Number 66 is the full-art Moltres & Zapdos & Articuno-GX and number 69 is its Rainbow Rare version; number 68 is Jessie & James and number 67 is Giovanni’s Exile. Limitless TCG matches 66 to two Sky Legend SR prints, of which 059/054 carries the same illustrator credit, and 68 to one Sky Legend SR print with the same credit. Sky Legend also has an HR print, Moltres & Zapdos & Articuno-GX SM10b 066/054, which Limitless TCG does not list against English 66 or 69; it is offered as a PSA 10 back order at ¥71,399 (~$464).

Reading a Card’s Region at a Glance

Printed numbers differ between the two regions in ways the tables above show. The English Charizard-GX is numbered SV49 in the English list, while its Japanese SSR is printed 209/150; the Japanese number sits above the 150 main-set count, which is how the Japanese secret range reads. The database prints the card name in Japanese, リザードンGX for Charizard-GX and ジュナイパーGX for Decidueye-GX, and shows the S icon on Shiny Pokémon such as Charmander 166/150 and the SSR icon on the GX cards.

Because the official Japanese database credits the same illustrator as the English card on the matched SM8b prints, the printed details to check on a Japanese card are the set code, the number over the 150 denominator, the rarity icon and the Japanese name.
