Gengar R 094/165: The Official Database Row

The official pokemon-card.com database has a single row for SV2a 094/165: ゲンガー, rarity icon R, illustrator Tomokazu Komiya. The database does not print a regulation mark; Limitless TCG shows the mark G for this print.
| Field | Official database |
|---|---|
| Name | ゲンガー (Gengar) |
| Set code | SV2a |
| Number | 094/165 |
| Rarity icon | R |
| Illustrator | Tomokazu Komiya |
| Stage / type / HP | 2 進化 / psychic / 130 |
| Weakness / resistance / retreat | Darkness ×2 / Fighting −30 / 0 |

The card has two attacks. ポルターガイスト (one psychic energy symbol, 50×) reads 「相手の手札を見て、その中にあるトレーナーズの枚数×50ダメージ。」 — look at your opponent’s hand and deal 50 damage for each Trainer card in it. ホロウダイブ (psychic plus one colorless, 110) reads 「ダメカン3個を、相手のベンチポケモンに好きなようにのせる。」 — put 3 damage counters on your opponent’s Benched Pokémon in any way you like. The evolution block links ゴース, ゴースト, ゲンガー, ゲンガーex and メガゲンガーex.
Where the Master Ball Mirror Pattern Comes From
The database does not list mirror variants as separate cards, so there is no Master Ball row to point to: the words Master Ball Mirror come from the PSA label and our listing name, which is PSA10 Gengar R: Master Ball Mirror[SV2a 094/165](Enhanced Expansion Pack “Pokemon Card 151”).
The official SV2a product page, as printed on September 30, 2026, announces cards with a special mirror finish and names one pattern: 「通常のカードに加えて、モンスターボール柄の特殊な加工がされた、豪華ミラー仕様のカードが収録!」 — in addition to the regular cards, deluxe mirror-finish cards with a special Monster Ball pattern are included. The page text does not mention a Master Ball pattern. Bulbapedia’s page for the 151 set says that in the Japanese, Korean and Traditional Chinese subsets “common, uncommon, and rare cards have Mirror Holofoil variants featuring a Poké Ball pattern; or, rarely, a Master Ball pattern.” That sentence is Bulbapedia’s, not the official page’s.
The Monster Ball version of this same number has its own PSA 10 page. For the Master Ball Mirror family across other cards, see the Master Ball Mirror Pokemon cards page and the Japanese mirror card variants page.
The Set: Pokémon Card 151 (SV2a)
The set is SV2a ポケモンカード151 (Pokémon Card 151), an enhanced expansion pack released in Japan on June 16, 2023. The official product page prints a pack price of ¥290 and 7 cartas por sobre; a box holds 20 packs (¥5,800 per box) and the main numbering has 165 cards, so 094/165 is inside the main numbering. Bulbapedia’s list of Japanese expansions (as of September 15, 2026) pairs SV2a with the English set 151.

Our box listing for the set is the SV2A-Pokemon 151 Japanese Pokemon Booster Box in the Sealed option, currently listed at ¥44,502 (~$289). The Pokemon 151 card list lists the cards of the set and the Pokemon 151 booster box buying guide covers the box. The Pokemon 151 (SV2a) card list page lists the cards of the set.

Other names that contain ゲンガー include ゲンガーEX, ゲンガーV, ゲンガーVMAX, ゲンガーex, メガゲンガーex and ゲンガー&ミミッキュGX. Those are different cards and are not in the table; see the Gengar cards page, the Mega Gengar ex value page and the Gengar & Mimikyu GX page for them. The DPt4-B 042/090 row credits Midori Harada, who has her own Midori Harada illustrator page.
The English Print of Gengar 094/165
Limitless TCG lists one international print on its Japanese SV2a #94 page: Gengar, Pokémon 151 (MEW) #94, with the same illustrator and the same regulation mark. Bulbapedia’s Gengar (151 94) page lists a single row, 151 094/165. Neither source lists a Master Ball pattern as a separate English card; the pattern question stays with the Japanese mirror printing.
