Is there a Mega Raichu X Pokemon card yet? As of October 1, 2026 the answer is no: the Pokémon Company has not shown one, and the official card database has no メガライチュウ row. What does exist is a complete official description of the Pokémon itself on pokemon.co.jp and legends.pokemon.com, a dated report from Pokébeach that Japan’s next high class pack features the form, and a long Raichu print history for collectors to work through in the meantime.
Mega Raichu X is the heavier of the two Mega Evolutions of Raichu: 1.2 m, 38.0 kg, two electromagnetic tails and a fist-first fighting style. Pokébeach reported on August 25, 2026 that MEGA x MEGA Parade, a Japanese high class pack, features Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y, with a reported release date of Friday, February 19, 2027. The official site had not listed the product as of October 1, 2026, so every set fact below carries its status.

Official: Mega Raichu X is a ねずみポケモン of the でんき type, 1.2 m and 38.0 kg, that Mega Evolves with the Mega Stone ライチュウナイトX (pokemon.co.jp). Reported: it is a featured Pokémon of MEGA x MEGA Parade, released Friday, February 19, 2027 (Pokébeach, August 25, 2026). Not shown: any Mega Raichu card. The previous high class pack, the M2A MEGA Dream ex booster box, is currently listed at ¥12,936 (~$84) in its No Shrink option.
This version covers the official Mega Raichu X description, the reported set status and four Raichu prints that sit outside the usual Pikachu-line lists. The first official Mega Raichu card image, if one appears, is the planned next update.
Mega Raichu X: The Official Description
Mega Raichu X was introduced on the Japanese Pokémon LEGENDS Z-A 『M次元ラッシュ』 site in a post dated September 12, 2025. The Japanese page classes it as a ねずみポケモン (Mouse Pokémon) of the でんき (Electric) type and prints a one-line summary: 「電磁力により浮遊し、電気を拳に集中させて強烈な一撃を打ち込む」, which reads as floating by electromagnetic force and concentrating electricity into its fists for a single heavy blow.
The English Mega Dimension site on legends.pokemon.com gives the longer version under the heading «It Floats Using Electromagnetism and Concentrates Electricity into Its Fists». Its text says the repulsion from the electromagnetic force generated by the two tails lets Mega Raichu X float as it moves, that ample subcutaneous fat lets it store electric energy and keep a high electrical output while heightening its defence, and that it can take down opponents several times its size with a single blow of its electrically charged fists.
| Detail | As printed for Mega Raichu X | Source / status |

| Classification and type | ねずみポケモン, でんき (Electric) | pokemon.co.jp (official) |
| Height / weight | 1.2 m / 38.0 kg | pokemon.co.jp (official) |
| Movement | Two tails generate electromagnetic force; the repulsion lets it float while moving | pokemon.co.jp and legends.pokemon.com (official) |
| Durability | Subcutaneous fat stores electric energy, sustains high output for a long time and raises defence | pokemon.co.jp and legends.pokemon.com (official) |
| Attack style | Electrically charged fists; one blow can take down opponents several times its size | legends.pokemon.com (official) |
| Resemblance note | «It bears a distinctive resemblance to regular Raichu.» | legends.pokemon.com (official) |
| Mega Stone | ライチュウナイトX | pokemon.co.jp (official) |
| Card version | No card shown; no number, rarity, HP, attack or illustrator published | Not shown as of October 1, 2026 |
Everything in the first eight rows is game material. The last row is the point for card collectors: none of the numbers above (1.2 m, 38.0 kg) is a card statistic, and the official pages say nothing about how a card would be built.
How Mega Raichu X Differs From Mega Raichu Y as Printed
The two forms are described as opposites on the official pages: X is the larger, durable, fist-fighting form that floats, and Y is the lighter, faster form that discharges amplified electricity. The English site states that «These two Mega Evolutions of Raichu each Mega Evolve using a different Mega Stone», and each carries a different resemblance note, regular Raichu for X and Pikachu for Y.
| Detail | Mega Raichu X | Mega Raichu Y | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Height / weight | 1.2 m / 38.0 kg | 1.0 m / 26.0 kg | pokemon.co.jp (official) |
| Mega Stone | ライチュウナイトX | ライチュウナイトY | pokemon.co.jp (official) |
| Where the electricity comes from | Two tails produce an electromagnetic field; fat stores energy | Cheek sacs, powered up; energy amplified between tail and horn-like head fur | legends.pokemon.com (official) |
| Fighting style | Floats, strikes with charged fists | Instantaneous power, short decisive battles | legends.pokemon.com (official) |
| Resemblance | Regular Raichu | Pikachu | legends.pokemon.com (official) |
Our separate Mega Raichu Y guide follows the other form on its own, and the combined overview is the Mega Raichu X and Y cards guide.
The Mega Stone and the Mega Dimension Release
Mega Raichu X appears in the Mega Dimension DLC for Pokémon LEGENDS Z-A. The English site says each of the two Raichu Mega Evolutions Mega Evolves with a different Mega Stone and that the forms «can be encountered by meeting specific conditions». The Japanese page names the stone for X as ライチュウナイトX; no English stone name appears in the pages we reviewed, so the Japanese name is the one to use.
The dates are split between a pre-sale and the content itself. A pokemon.com news item dated September 12, 2025 said pre-orders for Mega Dimension were open and that the additional story content was scheduled soon after the DLC went on sale on October 16, 2025. A Pokémon press release dated December 10, 2025 announced the Mega Dimension DLC available for Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch, and that day’s pokemon.com news names Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y among the new Mega-Evolved Pokémon. The Mega Dimension content therefore released on December 10, 2025.
MEGA x MEGA Parade: Reported Set Status
The link from Mega Raichu X to a card product comes from one source. Pokébeach, in its August 25, 2026 article, reported that the set features Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y, both of which debuted in Mega Dimension, adding that the set name may refer to the pair. The same outlet’s schedule line describes the set as Japan’s annual high class pack, starring Mega Raichu X and Y. Pokébeach had earlier reported the trademark for 「MEGA×MEGA パレード」 on July 1, 2026.
| Fact | Value | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Japanese release date | Friday, February 19, 2027 | Reported (Pokébeach, August 25, 2026); no official page |
| Retailer dates | 2027/2/17 on one Yahoo! store listing; February 19, 2027 on japan-figure; 2026/12/15 on a Yahoo! Shopping listing screenshot | Retailer placeholders, not release dates |
| Pack price | ¥550 per pack | Reported (Pokébeach, August 25, 2026) |
| Cards per pack | 10, with one hit card per pack as Pokébeach words it | Reported (Pokébeach); not an official pull-rate statement |
| Mega Raichu X and Y featured | Named as featured Pokémon of the set | Reported (Pokébeach, August 25, 2026) |
| Mega Raichu X card art, number, rarity | None shown | Not confirmed |
| Packs per box, box price, total card count | No official figure | Not confirmed |
| English release | No official statement | Not confirmed |
The reported release date is Friday, February 19, 2027 (Pokébeach, August 25, 2026); the official site had not listed the product as of October 1, 2026. The 2026/12/15 date on the Yahoo! Shopping screenshot is a retailer placeholder, and the release-date and price details live in the MEGA x MEGA Parade hub, with each line sorted by status in the card list tracker.
What Earlier High Class Packs Printed on Their Official Pages
The Pokébeach figures of ¥550 and 10 cards match what the Pokémon Card official site printed for the previous Japanese high class packs, and that precedent is the only official reference for the format. The table lists what each official product page prints.
| High class pack | Japanese release | Precio | Cards per pack | Line printed on the official page |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| VMAXクライマックス (s8b) | December 3, 2021 | ¥550 | 11 | 「基本エネルギーカード（キラ）が必ず1枚入っています」 — a shiny Basic Energy in every pack |
| VSTARユニバース (s12a) | December 2, 2022 | ¥550 | 10 | 「V・VSTAR・VMAXいずれか確定」 — one V, VSTAR or VMAX card per pack |
| シャイニートレジャーex (sv4a) | December 1, 2023 | ¥550 | 10 | 「ポケモンex確定！」 — a Pokémon ex per pack |
| テラスタルフェスex (sv8a) | December 6, 2024 | ¥550 | 10 | 「ポケモンexが確定！」 — a Pokémon ex per pack |
| MEGAドリームex (m2a) | November 28, 2025 | ¥550 | 10 | No hit line; 「※カードはランダムに封入されています。」 |
None of the five pages prints packs per box or a total card count, which is why those two numbers stay not confirmed for the Parade set. The MEGA Dream ex page is the closest precedent in content: it introduced the Mega Attack Rare (MA) rarity next to AR and SAR, and the Parade video of August 31, 2026 showed four more MA cards. Our high class pack history lays the five packs side by side.
What the August 31, 2026 Video Showed
The Pokémon Company’s official YouTube video of August 31, 2026 showed four Mega Attack Rare cards, captioned «Cards shown are under development and may differ from the final products.» The set they belong to is not on any official page. Pokébeach wrote that the cards come from «what is presumably February’s MEGA x MEGA Parade», and the numbers below are as printed on the card renders Pokébeach published, so they are reported rather than official data. No Raichu card was among them, and Pokébeach’s article on the reveal does not mention Raichu.
| Card shown | Number as printed on the render | Illustrator credit on the render | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| メガゲッコウガex (Mega Greninja ex) | 208/165 MA | Taiga Kasai | Card shown: official; set and number: reported |
| メガジガルデex (Mega Zygarde ex) | 214/165 MA | 5ban Graphics | Card shown: official; set and number: reported |
| メガダークライex (Mega Darkrai ex) | 217/165 MA | DOM | Card shown: official; set and number: reported |
| メガレックウザex (Mega Rayquaza ex) | 218/165 MA | Saboteri | Card shown: official; set and number: reported |
The four cards re-illustrate Mega Evolutions that already have prints in the official database, so the video gives a sample of the MA treatment and nothing about Mega Raichu. Our Mega Attack Rare reveal guide carries the per-card detail.
Four Raichu Prints From the Official Database
For collectors who want a Raichu card with an official credit before any Mega version exists, four older prints each have a different appeal: a Pokémon Card 151 Rare, a 20th Anniversary Concept Pack Rare credited to the character’s original designer, an Eevee Heroes Rare and a Cyber Judge Common. The database rows give the number, rarity icon, HP and illustrator.
| Set (code) | Rarity icon | HP | Illustrator | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Raichu 026/165 | Pokémon Card 151 (SV2a) | R | 120 | Naoyo Kimura |
| Raichu 034/087 | 20th Anniversary Concept Pack (CP6) | R | 100 | Ken Sugimori |
| Raichu 027/069 | Eevee Heroes (S6a) | R | 130 | Mitsuhiro Arita |
| Raichu 024/071 | Cyber Judge (SV5M) | C | 130 | cochi8i |
| Raichu 025/098 | S12 | U | 120 | Megumi Mizutani |
| Raichu 033/070 | L1-Bss | R | 90 | match |
| Raichu 023/060 | XY1-Bx | R | 90 | Mitsuhiro Arita |
| Raichu 014/051 | SM3N | R | 110 | Kagemaru Himeno |
The CP6 row is the one with an unusual credit: the official database lists Ken Sugimori as the illustrator of the 20th Anniversary Concept Pack print. The four prints share one trait relevant to Mega Raichu X: all of them are the basic Raichu card, with an HP between 100 and 130 and no ex rule box. The longer print history sits in our Raichu cards guide.
Raichu PSA 10 Back Orders From Tokyo
Three of the Raichu prints above have a PSA 10 back order listed with us. Each is offered as a PSA 10 back order at the linked price — sourced to order; the product page shows the current terms — and the route is explained on our PSA 10 back order page.
| Our PSA 10 listing (October 1, 2026) | Basis | |
|---|---|---|
| Raichu R: Master Ball Mirror 026/165 (SV2a, Pokémon Card 151) | ¥9,996 (~$65) | PSA 10 back order |
| Raichu R 1st Edition 034/087 (CP6, 20th Anniversary Concept Pack) | ¥25,694 (~$167) | PSA 10 back order |
| Raichu S 237/190 (SV4a, Shiny Treasure ex) | ¥8,886 (~$58) | PSA 10 back order |
The SV4a Shiny print comes from the Shiny Treasure ex high class pack of December 1, 2023, the same pack format as MEGA x MEGA Parade. The SV2a entry is the Master Ball mirror finish of the 151 Raichu, a different finish from the regular 026/165 row in the print table.
How to Follow the Reveal
Official information arrives in a fixed order for Japanese sets: a product page on pokemon-card.com, the card database rows, then the Pokémon Company’s own posts. Four sources settle whether a Mega Raichu X card exists.
- The products and info pages on pokemon-card.com. A page for the Parade set appears here first; none existed as of October 1, 2026.
- The official card database. A search for メガライチュウ returns a row only once a card is officially listed; it returned none on October 1, 2026.
- The Pokémon Company’s official YouTube channel and X account. The four Mega Attack Rare cards appeared in an official video on August 31, 2026, which is the route used for earlier reveals.
- Our tracker. The card list tracker moves a line from reported to official only when an official source shows it.
Images that circulate on X without an official origin, such as the gold Mega Raichu mock-up, are sorted in our circulating images vs official article.

Preguntas frecuentes
Is there a Mega Raichu X Pokemon card?
Not as of October 1, 2026. Mega Raichu X is an official game Pokémon, and Pokébeach reported on August 25, 2026 that Japan’s MEGA x MEGA Parade set features it, but the Pokémon Company has shown no card and the official card database has no メガライチュウ entry.
What are Mega Raichu X’s height, weight and Mega Stone?
Per pokemon.co.jp, Mega Raichu X is 1.2 m tall and weighs 38.0 kg. It is a ねずみポケモン of the でんき type, and it Mega Evolves with the Mega Stone ライチュウナイトX. Mega Raichu Y, by comparison, is 1.0 m and 26.0 kg and uses ライチュウナイトY.
How does Mega Raichu X float?
The official English site says the repulsion from the electromagnetic force generated by its two tails lets Mega Raichu X float as it moves. Its ample subcutaneous fat stores electric energy, which keeps its electrical output high and heightens its defence, and it strikes with electrically charged fists.
When is the MEGA x MEGA Parade release date?
The reported Japanese release date is Friday, February 19, 2027, from Pokébeach’s August 25, 2026 article, with ¥550 packs of 10 cards. The official Pokémon Card site had not listed the product as of October 1, 2026, so the date is reported rather than official.
Which Raichu cards can collectors buy before a Mega Raichu card?
The official database lists many Raichu prints, including the Pokémon Card 151 Rare 026/165, the 20th Anniversary Concept Pack Rare 034/087 and the Eevee Heroes Rare 027/069. We offer PSA 10 back orders for several of them, such as the 151 Master Ball mirror print and the CP6 print.
Is the English release of Mega Raichu cards confirmed?
No. As of October 1, 2026 no official source has stated an English counterpart for MEGA x MEGA Parade or any Mega Raichu card. Press commentary on English timing is speculation, so the English release, like pull rates and box contents, stays not confirmed.
