Mega Lucario Z ex and four Mega Attack Rares were teased in the same 81-second video, and they are not from the same set. The Pokémon Company’s reveal of August 31, 2026 (「【公式】ポケモンカードゲーム「ex★」」 on the Japanese channel) showed Mega Lucario Z ex, Riolu and Sigilyph ex alongside four Mega Attack Rares; Pokébeach’s article of the same day assigned the first three to Aura Seeker, the expansion it reports for November 27, 2026, and the four Mega Attack Rares to «what is presumably February’s MEGA x MEGA Parade», the high class pack it reports for February 19, 2027. As of October 1, 2026 neither set has an official product page.
The video’s description settles one thing in the Pokémon Company’s own words: «get ready for Mega Lucario Z’s debut as a powerful Mega Evolution Pokémon ex. Plus, look out for a new Pokémon TCG series: ex★!» Everything about which card lands in which product is reported. This reveal splits by set: what is printed on the Mega Lucario Z ex render, Mega Lucario’s existing Japanese prints from the official card database, and what the ex★ teaser does and does not say.
We sell Japanese sealed product and graded singles from Tokyo. Prices use ¥154/USD, verified October 1, 2026; market figures are SNKRDUNK asking prices on the dates given, never sales.

Pokébeach’s text is explicit on the split: «Pokemon has just revealed Riolu, Mega Lucario Z ex, and Sigilyph ex from November’s Aura Seeker! The set hasn’t been officially revealed yet,» and in the next paragraph, «Pokemon also teased Mega Attack Rares from what is presumably February’s MEGA x MEGA Parade. It will be Japan’s High Class Pack set. It also hasn’t been officially revealed yet.» The numbering the outlets give matches the split: /078 for the three Aura Seeker cards per Bulbapedia, /165 printed on the four Parade renders. No outlet attributes any Mega Attack Rare to Aura Seeker, and none attributes a Mega Lucario Z card to the Parade set.
Mega Lucario Z ex as Printed on the Render
The English render teased alongside the Japanese one reads, per the images Pokébeach published: HP 330, Metal type, an Ability named Aura Seeker that searches the deck for a Supporter card, an attack Dancing Fist for 120 damage plus 120 more if the opponent’s Active Pokémon is a Pokémon ex, weakness Fire ×2, resistance Grass −30, retreat cost two, illustrator credit takuyoa, regulation mark J, number FLO 058/080, with a 2027 copyright line. Bulbapedia’s Aura Seeker list (as of October 1, 2026) numbers the Japanese card 057/078, and Bill’s Archive gives the ability name as ハドウシーカー; both are third-party. Both are captioned by the official video as under development.
pokemon.com’s closing-ceremony recap states the official framing: «Mega Lucario Z is making its Pokémon TCG debut as a powerful Mega Evolution Pokémon ex.» The «Z» form is the one introduced for Pokémon LEGENDS Z-A, and the official Mega Dimension page on legends.pokemon.com lists Mega Lucario Z in its carousel beside Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y, the pair reported as the Parade set’s headliners. Our Mega Lucario Z in the TCG guide and ex★ announcement article cover the reveal in its own right.

The ex★ Teaser
The same video introduced «a new Pokémon TCG series: ex★» in the official description, with a logo and a teaser that Pokébeach describes as showing Raikou, Entei and Suicune. Pokébeach adds «No further details» and the observation that MEGA x MEGA Parade «may end the Mega Evolution block»; the official pages show only the logo, and no Raikou, Entei or Suicune card exists. Whether ex★ is the series that follows the MEGA block, and when it starts, is not confirmed. The Mega Dimension page’s carousel on legends.pokemon.com — Hoopa, Mega Raichu X, Mega Raichu Y, Mega Chimecho, Mega Baxcalibur, Mega Zeraora, Mega Lucario Z, Mega Garchomp Z — is the official list of the game’s newest Megas, and three of its eight names (Mega Raichu X, Mega Raichu Y, Mega Lucario Z) are the ones reported for card sets as of October 1, 2026.
