We sell Japanese sealed product and graded singles from Tokyo. USD figures convert at ¥154/USD, approximate.
The official database has five サーフゴーex rows: RR 050/062, SR 079/062 and SAR 087/062 in SV3a, plus RR 117/187 and SAR 220/187 in SV8a. The card has one ability, one attack and the standard rule for Pokémon ex. The ability is ボーナスコイン (Bonus Coin, rendering): once during your turn you may draw a card, and if this Pokémon is in the Active Spot you draw 1 more. The attack is ゴールドラッシュ (Gold Rush, rendering), which costs one steel Energy and does 50 damage times the number of basic Energy cards you discard from your hand. The rule box says that when a Pokémon ex is Knocked Out, the opponent takes 2 Prize cards.
The evolution block on the database page links the names サーフゴーex, サーフゴー and コレクレー. Limitless TCG’s Japanese page for SV3a #87 lists the print as Special Art Rare with the same Akira Komayama credit. The text above is the text of the 087/062 row; the other rows are separate database entries with their own number, icon and artwork credit.
The Set: Raging Surf (SV3a)
The database sets the code SV3a for the enhanced expansion pack レイジングサーフ, sold in English-language sources as Raging Surf. pokemon-card.com and Bulbapedia (as of September 15, 2026) give a release date of September 22, 2023, a pack price of ¥180, 5 kartu per pack and 62 cards in the main set. They do not state a confirmed packs-per-box figure for this set. Our Raging Surf booster box is currently listed at ¥13,528 (~$88) for the Sealed option and ¥12,528 (~$81) for the No Shrink option.
Bulbapedia’s list of Japanese expansions (as of September 15, 2026) gives the closest English equivalent as one-third of Paradox Rift. Bulbapedia’s card page describes the Gholdengo ex line as first released in the Japanese Raging Surf subset before it appeared in the English Paradox Rift expansion.
For the set, see the Raging Surf (SV3a) card list page, the Raging Surf booster box buying guide and the Raging Surf pull rates and best cards page; for the Pokémon across all its prints, see the Gholdengo cards guide. The SV3 versus SV3a box guide compares the two boxes released in 2023.
Every Japanese Gholdengo ex Print in the Official Database
The official database lists five rows for the exact name サーフゴーex. Three are in SV3a and two are in SV8a. Each carries a different number. The SAR row is in bold, and each set code links to that card’s database page.
| Set code | Name as printed | Number | Rarity icon | Illustrator |
|---|---|---|---|---|
How the five rows group:
- SV3a RR 050/062 and SR 079/062. Both credit takuyoa. They are the regular print and the full art print of the same card.
- SV3a SAR 087/062. Akira Komayama is credited here, a different name from the two rows above.
- SV8a RR 117/187 and SAR 220/187. The reprint set holds the regular print again, credited to takuyoa, and a second SAR credited to Shigenori Negishi.
That gives two SAR rows for the same card name in the database, one per set, with two different illustrators. If you are buying by number, 087/062 is the Raging Surf SAR and 220/187 is the SV8a SAR.
The Terastal Fest ex Reprint and Other Prints per Bulbapedia
Bulbapedia’s card page for Gholdengo ex (Paradox Rift 139) lists the Japanese prints against their English numbers. The table is that list as of September 30, 2026; the last column shows whether the number appears in the official database table above.
| Japanese set (Bulbapedia) | JP number | JP rarity | English set | English number | English rarity (Bulbapedia) | In the official database |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Raging Surf | 050/062 | RR | Paradox Rift | 139/182 | Double Rare | yes |
| Raging Surf | 079/062 | SR | Paradox Rift | 231/182 | Ultra Rare | yes |
| Raging Surf | 087/062 | SAR | Paradox Rift | 252/182 | Special Illustration Rare | yes |
| Terastal Fest ex | 117/187 | RR | — | — | — | yes |
| Terastal Fest ex | 220/187 | SAR | Prismatic Evolutions | 164/131 | Special Illustration Rare | yes |
Bulbapedia says the card was included as a regular card, a full art ultra rare card and a special illustration rare card in Paradox Rift, first released in the Japanese Raging Surf subset. It credits takuyoa for the regular and ultra rare prints, and Akira Komayama for the special illustration rare print, which the page says forms a combined illustration with Gimmighoul 198 from the same English set.
For the reprint, Bulbapedia states that the regular print returned in the Terastal Fest ex subset alongside a full art special illustration rare print by Shigenori Negishi, and that this second SAR is included in the English Prismatic Evolutions special expansion. The page also notes a Mainland China exclusive hyper rare print in the Simplified Chinese Bonus Round expansion, with artwork by 5ban Graphics; that print has no Japanese or English number. Every Japanese number in the table above also appears in the official database table.
The English Prints: Paradox Rift and Prismatic Evolutions
Limitless TCG’s Japanese page for SV3a #87 lists four international prints of the card (third-party data, as of September 30, 2026). Bulbapedia’s page gives the same four English numbers for the same four Japanese rows.
| English print (Limitless TCG) | Number | Rarity (Limitless) | Illustrator (Limitless) | Regulation mark (Limitless) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Paradox Rift (PAR) | #139 | Double Rare | takuyoa | G |
| Paradox Rift (PAR) | #231 | Ultra Rare | takuyoa | G |
| Paradox Rift (PAR) | #252 | Special Art Rare | Akira Komayama | G |
| Prismatic Evolutions (PRE) | #164 | Special Art Rare | Shigenori Negishi | G |
Limitless lists Paradox Rift #252 as the English print of 087/062, Special Art Rare, with the same illustrator credit (Akira Komayama). Bulbapedia calls the same number Special Illustration Rare. Bulbapedia pairs SV8a 220/187 with Prismatic Evolutions #164, which Limitless credits to Shigenori Negishi. Paradox Rift #139 and #231 credit takuyoa, like the Japanese RR and SR rows.
All four English prints carry regulation mark G on Limitless. Our Japanese versus English Pokemon cards guide covers the wider differences between the two languages.
Our Listings and Dated SNKRDUNK Asks
Our listing is named “PSA10 Gholdengo ex SAR[SV3a 087/062](Enhanced Expansion Pack "Raging Surf")”. The physical PSA 10 single is currently listed at ¥20,280 (~$132). The same card is also offered as a PSA 10 back order at ¥19,890 (~$129) — sourced to order; the product page shows the current terms. How a back order works is explained once in the PSA 10 back order guide.

| Item | Figure | Source and date |
|---|---|---|
| Our PSA 10 single | ¥20,280 (~$132) | Our listing, as of September 30, 2026 |
| Our PSA 10 back order | ¥19,890 (~$129) | Our listing, as of September 30, 2026 |
| Lowest ask on SNKRDUNK, product row | ¥3,000 (~$19) | SNKRDUNK, September 30, 2026 |
| Lowest PSA 10 listing ask on SNKRDUNK | ¥20,000 (~$130) | SNKRDUNK, September 30, 2026 (9 PSA 10 listings visible in the first 15 search results) |
Both SNKRDUNK figures are asking prices, not sold prices. The first is the lowest price shown on the product row for this card, which is not limited to a grade; the second is the lowest among the nine PSA 10 listings visible in the first 15 SNKRDUNK search results. The two lines are printed as they appear, with no cause attached to the difference.
What a PSA 10 of This Print Shows
PSA 10 designates Gem Mint condition per PSA’s published grading standards; our PSA 10 meaning guide covers the scale. The identification data on a slab of this print is the same as the database row: the set code SV3a, the number 087/062 and the rarity SAR. The illustrator credit Akira Komayama separates it from the RR and SR prints, which credit takuyoa.
Three checks apply before ordering any Gholdengo ex slab:
- Number. 050/062, 079/062 and 087/062 show the same card name in the same set. Only 087/062 is the SAR.
- Set code. SV8a 220/187 is a second SAR of the same name with a different illustrator. The set code and the number both need to read SV3a 087/062.
- Grade wording. The listing names begin “PSA10”. Listings for lower grades are different products.
For the grading side of the market, see the Japanese Pokemon card grading guide and the condition guide for raw versus PSA 10 Japanese cards.
