Mega Emboar ex has two Japanese prints in the official Pokemon Card Game database — 113/742 and 762/742, both メガエンブオーex from the Start Deck 100 Battle Collection (MC) — and neither shows a rarity icon on its database page.
That last point matters because the 762/742 is sold and searched as "SAR Style" or "SAR仕様". Those are market labels, not an official rarity. 5ban Graphics illustrated the 113 and nagimiso the 762, and Limitless TCG, a third-party database, lists three English Mega Emboar ex prints: two in Ascended Heroes and one Mega Promo.
We are a Tokyo seller of Japanese sealed product and graded singles. Current yen listings carry an approximate USD figure converted at ¥154/USD.
Two Japanese Mega Emboar ex prints appear in the official database as of October 1, 2026: 113/742 and 762/742, both in the Start Deck 100 Battle Collection (MC), and neither carries a rarity icon. PSA 10 Mega Emboar ex 762/742 is offered as a PSA 10 back order at ¥12,281 (~$80) — sourced to order; the product page shows the current terms. The 113/742 has no priced listing at the time of this update.
The list covers both Mega Emboar ex rows in the official Japanese card database as of October 1, 2026, together with the three English prints Limitless TCG lists for the same name.
The 2 Japanese Mega Emboar ex Prints
The official database lists two cards named メガエンブオーex, each with its own number and illustrator credit and neither with a rarity icon. "No priced listing" means no Mega Emboar ex product for that number has a current price here; a sourcing request for that print goes through Pesan Cepat.
| Set | No. | Kartu | Rarity icon | Illustrator | Our listing |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| MC | 113/742 | Mega Emboar ex | None shown | 5ban Graphics | No priced listing |
| MC | 762/742 | Mega Emboar ex | None shown | nagimiso | PSA 10 back order ¥12,281 (~$80) |
Each row has its own detail page in the database (card IDs 48829 and 50030), and both sit in one product, the Start Deck 100 Battle Collection. The 113/742 is numbered inside the 742 denominator, and the 762/742 is numbered above it.
Start Deck 100 Battle Collection (MC): The Product Behind the Prints
The Start Deck 100 Battle Collection (ポケモンカードゲーム MEGA スタートデッキ100 バトルコレクション) is a fixed-deck product rather than a booster set, so it has no set-level row in Bulbapedia's list of Japanese expansions. The official product page at pokemon-card.com/ex/mc prints the release date, the price and the contents, and Bulbapedia's page for the product adds how the decks are distributed.
| Detail | Start Deck 100 Battle Collection (MC) |
|---|---|
| Product name as printed | ポケモンカードゲーム MEGA スタートデッキ100 バトルコレクション |
| Release date (official page) | 2025年12月19日 (December 19, 2025) |
| Price (official page) | 891円 including tax |
| Contents (official page) | 1 deck of 60 cards and 1 sheet of damage counters and markers |
| Printed set size | 742 |
| Database entries | 774 |
| Entries numbered above 742 | 24 (743/742 to 766/742) |
| Rarity icons in the database | None on any MC card |

The official page notes that because these are constructed decks, the same card appears several times in one deck, and its concept copy describes 100 kinds of deck: 「すぐに遊べる100種類!」 and 「100種類の中からどれか1つがキミの手に!」. Bulbapedia (as of October 1, 2026) says a product unit contains one random selection from a collection of 102 different decks — 100 standard decks, 1 secret deck and 1 variant of Deck No. 001 with a gold-etched Mega Charizard Y ex 766 — that all cards form a numbered set with a collection number of 742, and that it was released in Japan on December 19, 2025.
Bulbapedia also says the Start Deck 100 Battle Collection and its CoroCiao Version counterpart are the first products to introduce cards with the J regulation mark to the Japanese Standard format, and that the cards released in this product are included in the English Ascended Heroes expansion. Our Start Deck 100 Battle Collection guide covers the product itself.
What the Database Prints on Mega Emboar ex
The two prints share one set of card data. The database shows Mega Emboar ex as a Stage 2 Fire Pokemon with 380 HP, and it evolves from チャオブー according to Limitless. The evolution block on the official detail page links the names エンブオー, メガエンブオーex, チャオブー and ポカブ.
| Field | As printed in the database |
|---|---|
| Card name | メガエンブオーex |
| Stage | Stage 2 (2 進化) |
| HP | 380 |
| Type | Fire |
| Weakness | Water ×2 |
| Resistance | None shown |
| Retreat cost | 4 |
| Attack | クリムゾンボム |
| Special rule | When a Mega Evolution ex is Knocked Out, the opponent takes 3 Prize cards |
| Regulation mark | J, per Limitless (not confirmed on the official page) |
The Attack
| Name | Cost | Damage | Text |
|---|---|---|---|
| クリムゾンボム | Two Fire Energy and one Colorless Energy | 320 | This Pokemon also takes 60 damage. |
The attack row paraphrases the printed card text, which reads the same on 113/742 and 762/742; the two prints differ only in frame, artwork and number. Both carry the Mega Evolution ex rule, so a Knocked Out Mega Emboar ex hands the opponent 3 Prize cards.
The regulation mark is a separate point. The official database page does not print a mark for the card; Limitless's Japanese card pages for MC #113 and MC #762 show the letter J. That letter is Limitless's own entry and is not confirmed on the official page.
Mega Emboar ex 113/742 and 762/742 in Detail
Mega Emboar ex 113/742 — 5ban Graphics
The 113/742 is the lower-numbered print and sits inside the 742 denominator. It is credited to 5ban Graphics, and Bulbapedia's card page calls it the Regular card.
Mega Emboar ex 762/742 — nagimiso

The 762/742 is the higher-numbered print, printed above the denominator and credited to nagimiso. PSA 10 Mega Emboar ex SAR Style [MC 762/742] is offered as a PSA 10 back order at ¥12,281 (~$80). The physical PSA 10 slab listing for this print is sold out at the time of this update — restock requests go through Pesan Cepat. Our nagimiso Pokemon cards guide covers the illustrator's other cards, and the Unova starter cards guide covers the Emboar line.
"SAR Style" Is a Market Label, Not an Official Rarity
The 762/742 turns up under several rarity names, and the official database is not one of the sources that uses a rarity code for it. The database shows no rarity icon on either Mega Emboar ex page, and across the whole MC product it shows no rarity icon on any of the 774 entries; the strings SAR, MUR and メガウルトラレア do not appear on the official product page.
| Where the label appears | Label for 762/742 | Kind of source |
|---|---|---|
| Official database and MC product page | No rarity icon | Official |
| Our PSA 10 listing title | SAR Style | Market label |
| SNKRDUNK product name | SAR仕様 | Market label |
| Bulbapedia card page (as of October 1, 2026) | Full Art special illustration rare (English Ascended Heroes 273: Special Illustration Rare) | Third-party wiki |
The label is not a rarity code; Bulbapedia calls the 762 a Full Art print, and it is numbered above the 742 denominator. Bulbapedia's product page says a selected number of decks also feature Secret cards such as Full Art prints of debut Mega Evolution Pokemon ex. When a listing says "SAR Style", the number 762/742 is what identifies the card. The general code list is in our rarities explained article.
Which Decks Hold Mega Emboar ex
Bulbapedia's deck-list pages for the Start Deck 100 Battle Collection (as of October 1, 2026) place the two prints in different decks, one card in each entry.
| Deck No. (Bulbapedia) | Deck type | Finish per Bulbapedia legend | |
|---|---|---|---|
| 113/742 | 033 | Fire | Non Holofoil (entry unmarked) |
| 113/742 | 090 | Fire / Psychic | Mirror Holo (entry marked with a dagger) |
| 762/742 | 101 | Three types | Holofoil deck (deck number marked with a dagger) |
Bulbapedia's legend says a card marked by a dagger is Holofoil, and that a deck whose number is marked by a dagger comprises only Holofoil cards. Deck No. 101 also holds 761/742 Mega Meganium ex and 763/742 Mega Feraligatr ex, one card each, so the numbers 761, 762 and 763 sit in one deck.

The two neighbours have their own PSA 10 back orders: PSA 10 Mega Meganium ex SAR Style [MC 761/742] is offered as a PSA 10 back order at ¥16,198 (~$105), and PSA 10 Mega Feraligatr ex SAR Style [MC 763/742] is offered as a PSA 10 back order at ¥21,987 (~$143).
Reading the Numbers and the Illustrator Credits
In the Start Deck 100 Battle Collection, the figure after the slash is always 742 and the figure before it is the collector number. Our guide to reading Japanese Pokemon cards covers the format.
| Collector number | Printed set size | Number above set size? | Illustrator | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| MC 113 | 113 | 742 | No | 5ban Graphics |
| MC 762 | 762 | 742 | Yes | nagimiso |
Only the 762 is above the printed set size; it sits 20 numbers above the 742 count. The database entries from 743/742 to 766/742 are the 24 above-denominator entries in the product. On a slab label or a listing title, the number alone tells you which frame you are looking at: 113 is the regular print and 762 is the full-art print.
The database credits two illustrators across the two Japanese prints, and Bulbapedia's card page for Mega Emboar ex (Ascended Heroes 31) says the same about the English release: the Regular print features artwork by 5ban Graphics, and the Full Art special illustration rare print features artwork by nagimiso. The English Mega Promo print MEP 35 carries a third credit, Keisuke Azuma.
English Mega Emboar ex Prints: Ascended Heroes and MEP
Limitless TCG lists three English Mega Emboar ex prints as of October 1, 2026: two in Ascended Heroes (ASC) and one in the Mega Promos (MEP) series, each with regulation mark J on its Limitless page. Bulbapedia's card page says the card is included as a Regular card and a Full Art special illustration rare card in Ascended Heroes, originating from the Japanese Start Deck 100 Battle Collection.
| Japanese print (MC) | English number (Bulbapedia) | English rarity (Bulbapedia) | Limitless English page | Limitless rarity | Illustrator credit |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 113/742 | 031/217 | Double Rare | ASC #31 | Double Rare | 5ban Graphics |
| 762/742 | 273/217 | Special Illustration Rare | ASC #273 | Special Art Rare | nagimiso |
| No Japanese MC print | MEP Black Star Promos 035 | Not stated | MEP #35 | Not stated | Keisuke Azuma |
The MEP print is an alternate-artwork version of the Regular card. Bulbapedia (as of October 1, 2026) says it was available as one of the MEP Black Star Promos in the Mega Emboar ex Box from April 24, 2026, that the box also included a Jumbo version of the card, and that the standard-sized card was later included in the Mega Emboar ex Tin. It adds that in Korea the alternate artwork print was one of the M-P Promotional cards in the MEGA "ex Special Set" promo pack. The official database lists no Japanese M-P promo for the name.
The rarity words are each source's own naming: Bulbapedia calls the full-art print "Special Illustration Rare" and Limitless calls it "Special Art Rare", while the Japanese database shows no rarity icon at all. For the wider differences between the two markets, see our article on Japanese vs English Pokemon cards, and for the Japanese sets behind the English set, the Ascended Heroes Japanese card list.
Mega Emboar ex PSA 10 Listings and Asking Prices
PSA 10 designates Gem Mint condition per PSA's published grading standards. As of October 1, 2026, the Mega Emboar ex PSA 10 listings link to their product images; the back-order route is laid out in our guide to PSA 10 pesanan khusus.
The physical PSA 10 slab listing for the Emboar 762/742 is a separate product from the back order and is sold out at the time of this update.
Dated SNKRDUNK Asking Price
The table shows the lowest PSA 10 ask on SNKRDUNK, October 1, 2026, for the product SNKRDUNK names メガエンブオーex SAR仕様 [MC 762/742]. It is an asking price, not a sold price, shown next to our linked listing for the same card.
| Tanggal | Kartu | Lowest PSA 10 ask on SNKRDUNK | Our PSA 10 back order |
|---|---|---|---|
| October 1, 2026 | Mega Emboar ex 762/742 | ¥10,000 (~$65) | ¥12,281 (~$80) |
Matching a Card or Slab to the Right Print
The Emboar table compares the two Japanese prints field by field, English numbers included.
| Check | 113/742 | 762/742 |
|---|---|---|
| Collector number | 113 | 762 |
| Rarity icon in the official database | None shown | None shown |
| Illustrator credit | 5ban Graphics | nagimiso |
| Number above the 742 set size | No | Yes |
| Common market label | None | SAR Style / SAR仕様 |
| English number on Bulbapedia's card page | 031/217 | 273/217 |
| Limitless English rarity label | Double Rare | Special Art Rare |
113 and 762 are enough to tell the prints apart, and 5ban Graphics (113) and nagimiso (762) confirm it. A slab or listing title should read MC 762/742 in full; a title that says only "Mega Emboar ex" or "SAR Style" without a number does not identify the print. Our condition guide for Japanese cards and PSA 10 meaning article cover graded versus raw cards, and PSA's certification lookup confirms the certification number and grade PSA recorded.
Where to Buy Mega Emboar ex Cards from Japan
We ship Japanese sealed product and graded singles from Tokyo. For Mega Emboar ex, the PSA 10 762/742 is offered as a PSA 10 back order at ¥12,281 (~$80); the neighbouring Mega Meganium ex and Mega Feraligatr ex are offered as PSA 10 back orders at ¥16,198 (~$105) and ¥21,987 (~$143).

The product behind the prints is also sold as a sealed deck: MEGA Start Deck 100 Battle Collection is currently listed at ¥1,218 (~$8). The official page describes one deck out of 100 kinds, so a deck is not a specific numbered card. Gather graded singles on the PSA 10 card list or in the PSA10 collection.
For the 113/742, which has no priced listing at the time of this update, send a sourcing request through Pesan Cepat.
