What are the key facts about the Luffy Manga Card?

The key facts are one card number, one set and one release date: OP13-118, OP-13, November 7, 2025. The table gives the exact names so the card is unambiguous. The rows link to the official English One Piece Card Game pages they come from.

What is a Luffy manga card?

A Luffy manga card is the Super Alt-Art version of OP13-118 Monkey.D.Luffy: the official OP-13 page describes Super Alt-Art as an Alt-Art card covered with designs from the “ONE PIECE” manga.

The official page uses precise wording. It uses the term Super Alt-Art and does not use the term Manga Alt-Art. When you compare a listing with the card pages, use the official name Super Alt-Art.

A general name does not give you the set, the rarity or the exact print. The card number and the set code do. For the card covered here, the identifiers are OP13-118 and OP-13. Everything else in this guide hangs on those two strings.

The official card list is the reference for the base entry. It lists OP13-118 Monkey.D.Luffy as SEC in CARRYING ON HIS WILL [OP-13]. The Super Alt-Art and Red Super Alt-Art versions are the ones the OP-13 product page shows for that number.

When was OP-13 released and what is in the set?

OP-13 “Carrying on His Will” was released on November 7, 2025, and the set contains 133+1 card types with packs at an MSRP of USD $4.99 each. Those figures come from the official OP-13 page.

The rarities the official page lists are Leader Cards, Commons, Uncommons, Rares, Super Rares, Secret Rares, Special Cards and Special 3rd Anniversary Cards. , and the page names three characters for them: Luffy, Ace and Sabo.

The page also carries two notes that matter for any card in the set. One says that, due to the nature of the product, multiples of one card may appear, or it may be difficult to assemble a full set. The other says the illustration may differ somewhat from the final product.

Which card number is the Luffy Manga Card in OP-13?

The Luffy manga card in OP-13 is OP13-118 Monkey.D.Luffy, shown on the official page with a Super Alt-Art version. The official card list confirms the base entry: OP13-118 is listed as SEC (Secret Rare) in CARRYING ON HIS WILL [OP-13].

The Super Alt-Art versions are three named cards, and Luffy is the first of them by card number.

Card number Character Official OP-13 page shows
OP13-118 Monkey.D.Luffy Super Alt-Art and Red Super Alt-Art
OP13-119 Portgas.D.Ace Super Alt-Art and Red Super Alt-Art
OP13-120 Sabo Super Alt-Art and Red Super Alt-Art

The three numbers run in sequence, 118, 119 and 120, so OP13-118 sits next to its two siblings when you browse a set list by card number. If you want only Luffy, search for OP13-118 directly.

The official page treats the three as a group: the same Super Alt-Art treatment and the same Red Super Alt-Art variant are shown for all three. A collector who wants all three cards looks for 118, 119 and 120 together.

What is the Red Super Alt-Art version of the Luffy Manga Card?

The Red Super Alt-Art is a new variant exclusive to OP-13, shown on the official page for OP13-118 Monkey.D.Luffy, OP13-119 Portgas.D.Ace and OP13-120 Sabo. The page describes it as a “burning red and shining design reminiscent of flames”.

For a Luffy collector this means OP13-118 has more than one presentation. There is the Super Alt-Art, and there is the Red Super Alt-Art. When a card-list site or a seller says “Luffy manga”, ask which of the two it means, because the official page treats them as separate variants.

The official text stops at that description. It does not explain how the red version differs in layout from the standard Super Alt-Art, so look at the card images on the official OP-13 page and compare them with any photo you are shown. The page also carries a general note: “The illustration may differ somewhat from the final product.” Treat the product-page images as representative, and use the card number to identify the exact card.

Version of OP13-118 How the official page describes it
Super Alt-Art An Alt-Art card covered with designs from the “ONE PIECE” manga
Red Super Alt-Art A new variant exclusive to this pack, with a “burning red and shining design reminiscent of flames”

How do you search the official card list for the Luffy Manga Card?

Search the official English card list for Monkey.D.Luffy and read the card number in each row; OP13-118 is the row you want. The official search for Monkey.D.Luffy returns every Luffy entry in one list, with the card number, rarity and set beside each one.

The search returns twelve Luffy entries across many sets, so the name alone is not enough. Scan down to the OP13 prefix and you find two rows: OP13-001 with rarity L and OP13-118 with rarity SEC. The second is the card the Super Alt-Art and Red Super Alt-Art belong to on the OP-13 product page.

If you want the neighbouring Super Alt-Art cards instead, repeat the search with the character name. The OP-13 page names Portgas.D.Ace as OP13-119 and Sabo as OP13-120. Keeping the three numbers side by side helps you notice if a listing mixes up the characters.

How is OP13-118 different from the OP-13 Luffy leader?

OP13-118 is a Secret Rare, and OP13-001 is the Leader card, so they are two different Luffy cards in the same set. The official card list shows OP13-001 as L and OP13-118 as SEC, both in CARRYING ON HIS WILL [OP-13].

The Super Alt-Art treatment on the official OP-13 page is shown for OP13-118, OP13-119 and OP13-120. It is not shown for the leader. If a listing says “OP-13 Luffy” without a number, you cannot tell which of the two it is, and only the number settles it.

Both cards are Monkey.D.Luffy, both are OP-13, and the names are identical, so a name search returns both. The differences are the card number and the rarity code. Check both before you pay.

OP17-079 Monkey.D.Luffy OP-17 Leader “Now Available as a Super Leader Alt-Art Card!”

Is the Luffy leader in OP-17 also a manga card?

The official OP-17 page does not describe it that way. It says OP17-079 Monkey.D.Luffy is “Now Available as a Super Leader Alt-Art Card!” and says nothing about manga designs for that card.

OP-17 is “BOOSTER PACK -THE WORLD’S STRONGEST WARRIORS- [OP-17]”. The official page lists a pre-release on August 21, 2026 and a release date of August 28, 2026, with an MSRP of USD $4.99 per pack and 131+4 types in total. It also says Super Alt-Art is newly introduced in that set, for OP17-005, OP17-022, OP17-062 and OP17-112. OP17-079 is not in that list; the page labels it a Super Leader Alt-Art card.

The rarities listed on the OP-17 page are Special Cards, Treasure Rare, Leader Cards, Secret Rares, Super Rares, Rares, Uncommons, Commons and DON!! Cards. The OP-17 page carries the same two notes about legality from the pre-release date in your LGS and about multiples of one card.

The practical advice is simple. If your search is for the Luffy with the manga-covered Super Alt-Art that sits next to Ace and Sabo, you want OP13-118. If you want a Luffy leader with an alternate-art treatment from a newer set, OP17-079 is the card the official page highlights.

Which other Luffy prints could be confused with OP13-118?

Several Luffy Secret Rares share the same name and often a similar number, so OP13-118 can be confused with OP10-118, OP11-118, OP05-119 and OP09-119. The table reproduces the entries the official search for Monkey.D.Luffy returned, with the card number, rarity and set.

OP14-013 SR THE AZURE SEA’S SEVEN [OP14-EB04]
OP01-024 SR ROMANCE DAWN [OP01]

Two patterns stand out. First, the Secret Rare Luffy often sits at number 118 or 119 of its set: OP10-118, OP11-118, OP13-118, OP05-119 and OP09-119. Second, several Luffy cards are listed in a second product, such as OP05-119 in ONE PIECE CARD THE BEST [PRB-01] and EB02-061 in PRB-02. When you compare listings, always read the set name next to the number.

The official page for OP-13 ties the Super Alt-Art and Red Super Alt-Art to OP13-118. The list above does not say that the other Secret Rares are manga-style cards, so do not assume it from the rarity code alone.

Is the Luffy Manga Card legal for play?

Yes. Cards from OP-13 are tournament legal starting 7 days after the release date in your region, and legal from the pre-release date in your LGS. Both notes appear on the official OP-13 page.

The “7 days after the release date” line sets the tournament date, and the pre-release line sets the date for local game store events. If you play in an organised event, check which rule your store follows.

The OP-13 page also carries this note: “Due to the nature of the product, multiples of one card may appear, or it may be difficult to assemble a full set.” If you need exactly OP13-118, keep that note in mind when you plan how to get the card.

Official OP-13 note What it says
Tournament legality Cards are tournament legal starting 7 days after the release date in your region
Pre-release legality Cards are legal from the pre-release date in your LGS
Multiples Multiples of one card may appear, or it may be difficult to assemble a full set
Illustrations The illustration may differ somewhat from the final product

How do you identify the exact Luffy Manga Card in a listing?

Read the card number first, then the rarity code, the set name and the version, because the number is what identifies the exact card. For the OP-13 card the exact string is OP13-118 Monkey.D.Luffy.

  1. Use the number. OP13-118 is unambiguous. OP13-001 is the leader card and is a different card.
  2. Check the rarity code. The official list shows OP13-118 as SEC. If a listing gives a different rarity for the same number, treat it with care.
  3. Decide which version you want. The official page shows a Super Alt-Art and a Red Super Alt-Art for OP13-118. They are separate variants.
  4. Read the set name. Several Luffy cards are listed in two products, for example OP09-119 in OP-09 and in the Japanese 3rd ANNIVERSARY SET.
  5. Check the language. The official pages cited here are English. Confirm the edition shown on any listing before you compare it with the official images.
  6. Compare the photo with the official image. The page itself says illustrations may differ somewhat from the final product, so use the number as the final check.

This also protects you from mixing up neighbouring cards. OP10-118 and OP11-118 are also Luffy Secret Rares, and their numbers differ from OP13-118 only by the set prefix.

Which other One Piece sets are available now?

These are other sets available now, not the Luffy manga card itself: OP-13, OP-12 and EB-02 Japanese booster boxes. Each is a separate sealed product with its own listing.

How do shipping and payment work for Japanese sealed products?

Orders ship from Japan by FedEx, and all payments are made in Japanese yen. The details come from our shipping policy and payment methods page.

📩 MembersBe first when pre-orders open
Topic What the policy says
Standard shipping FedEx International Connect Plus with a tracking number; estimated FedEx transit usually 3-7 business days after dispatch, an estimate and not a guaranteed date
Expedited shipping FedEx International Priority with a tracking number; estimated transit usually 2-5 business days after dispatch, also an estimate
Shipping cost Calculated automatically at checkout from your delivery address
Minimum order No minimum order amount or quantity
Handling time Most orders are processed and shipped within 5 business days after PayPal or Wise payment has cleared; an estimate, not a guarantee
Delivery address FedEx cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes, so provide a physical address
Customs After handoff to FedEx, customs inspections and import procedures can delay delivery and are outside our control
Payment methods Wise bank transfer, PayPal, credit and debit cards through PayPal (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, JCB) and PayPal Pay Later where PayPal offers it
Processing fee A 5% payment processing fee applies to PayPal and card payments; Wise bank transfer does not carry it

Delivery dates shown at checkout do not include handling time, weekends, Japanese national holidays or customs processing, so allow for those when you plan around a play date.

What happens if my address is wrong or dispatch is delayed?

Before the shipment is scheduled, you can update the shipping address yourself from My Account > Orders > the order. The destination country cannot be changed, and the carrier, shipping method and FedEx service level stay as selected at checkout.

If shipping to the new address costs more, the policy says we ask you to pay the difference before dispatch, and the order is held until it is settled. If it costs less, the shipping charge is not recalculated and no refund is made. Once the shipment is scheduled, the self-service change is closed, and only a minor correction that changes none of the shipping conditions may be considered.

Stock levels for sealed Japanese trading card products fluctuate frequently, and dispatch can take longer than the standard handling time. If dispatch is delayed, the policy says we contact you by email with a revised estimate, and for significant delays before handoff to FedEx we may offer the option to wait or to cancel with a full refund.

How long do Wise payments stay open?

A Wise order without a screenshot is cancelled automatically if payment has not been received within 12 hours of placing it. For orders that contain a pre-order item, that window is 3 hours instead of 12.

If you upload a screenshot of your Wise transfer within 5 days of placing the order, the order price is held for a total of 10 days from placing the order, and payment must arrive before that hold ends. The screenshot option requires an account and is not available at guest checkout. Enter the payment reference issued with your order, SST-{order number}, in the Wise transfer reference field exactly as issued.

Payments by SWIFT incur a receiving fee of JPY 611 that is deducted before the funds reach us, so the payments page asks you to add JPY 611 to your order total. It also asks you to select the OUR charge option so that correspondent bank fees are covered on your side.
