Key Facts: What Is the Nihil Zero Release Date and Set Identity?

Nihil Zero is the name we use for the Japanese expansion M3 (ムニキスゼロ), and its Japanese release date was January 23, 2026. The table below lists the identifying details, each tied to an official page.

If you buy sealed product from us, the box that matches this table is the M3-Munikis Zero (Nihil Zero) Japanese Pokemon Booster Box – Carton. That listing is one full carton of 12 Japanese booster boxes, shipped as the carton itself and not as 12 individual boxes.

What Is the Nihil Zero Release Date in Japan?

The Japanese release date for M3 Nihil Zero is January 23, 2026, according to the official Pokémon Card Game M3 page. The same page gives the same date for the Special Card Set featuring Mega Gallade ex, so the booster pack and the special set launched together.

A few points help you read that date correctly:

• It is the Japanese edition date. Cards in this set are printed in Japanese. The English edition has a separate, later date, covered below.
• It is a release date, not a pre-order date. The date of January 23, 2026 is the day the product went on sale in Japan. The pages we reviewed do not state any earlier ordering or lottery schedule for this set, so we do not describe one.
• It is already in the past. As of this update on November 6, 2026, the set has been out for more than nine months, so the practical question has shifted from “when does it come out” to “where can I still get it.”

The official page also confirms the pack format: ¥180 per pack (tax included) as suggested retail, 5 kaarten per pack, randomly packed. That price is Japan’s suggested retail for a single pack. It is not the price of a booster box or a carton from us, and we do not quote our own prices in this guide so that nothing here goes out of date.

What Is Nihil Zero Called, and Why Are There Several Spellings?

The official Japanese name is ムニキスゼロ, and in English we write it as Nihil Zero or Munikis Zero, both meaning set code M3. Munikisu Zero is a direct romanization of the Japanese name.

The practical rule is to use the set code. M3 is the Japanese set, released January 23, 2026. The English edition is named Perfect Order, and its physical release date is March 27, 2026, not January 23.

Our single-card listings use the form “Expansion Pack “Munikis / Nihil Zero”” together with the card number, such as M3 095/080. That number format matters when you compare a card to a list: the denominator 080 matches the 80 entries (m3-001 to m3-080) shown on the official card list, which gives images only and no rarity text.

What Is Inside Nihil Zero Packs and the Mega Gallade ex Special Card Set?

A Nihil Zero pack holds 5 random cards at a suggested ¥180, and the Special Card Set holds 8 of those packs plus promos. Both details come from the official M3 page.

The Special Card Set is a separate product from a booster box. Its promo cards (Mega Gallade ex, Power Protein, Ralts, Kirlia) are listed on the official page as part of that set. We do not list the Special Card Set on this article’s product list, so we make no claim about its availability from us.

The official page does not state a box configuration, such as how many packs sit in a booster box, so this guide does not give a pack count per box.

Which Cards Did Nihil Zero Feature at Launch?

The official M3 page highlights twelve featured cards, led by メガジガルデex, メガスターミーex, メガエルレイドex, ニャースex and ジュナイパーex. The list below uses the Japanese names exactly as the page gives them, with English names only where our own product listings or official English materials confirm them.

One official deck-recipe page shows two decks built around M3 cards. That page states no release date, rarity or pack configuration.

When Did the English Edition, Perfect Order, Release?

The English edition, Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution—Perfect Order, released physically on March 27, 2026, per the Pokémon press media alert. Prerelease tournaments began March 14, 2026, and the Pokémon TCG Live digital release was March 26, 2026.

From January 23 to March 27, 2026, there are 63 days, which is exactly nine weeks. That is the gap between the Japanese release of M3 and the English physical release of Perfect Order. This gap is our own arithmetic from the two official dates.

The official English materials describe Perfect Order as the first Mega Evolution series expansion set in Lumiose City, the setting of Pokémon Legends: Z-A. They list four new Mega Evolution Pokémon ex: Mega Zygarde ex, Mega Starmie ex, Mega Clefable ex and Mega Skarmory ex. The English news page says the set has over 120 cards. The press media alert says Mega Evolution Pokémon ex give up three Prize cards when Knocked Out. See the official English release news and the press media alert for the wording.

Do not mix the two card counts. The Japanese M3 page lists 80 card-list entries. The English Perfect Order set is described as having over 120 cards. We do not claim the two sets contain the same cards one-to-one, because the pages we reviewed do not say so. For a side-by-side look at what each product holds, read our Perfect Order Booster Bundle and ETB vs Japanese Nihil Zero box comparison.

What Does the English Perfect Order Elite Trainer Box Contain?

The English Perfect Order Elite Trainer Box launched March 27, 2026 and holds 9 booster packs plus accessories, according to the official product gallery. It is an English-edition product, so it is not interchangeable with a Japanese Nihil Zero box.

The cards shown on that official page are Mega Zygarde ex, Mega Clefable ex, Mega Starmie ex, Meowth ex and the Tyrunt promo. Several of those names also appear among the Japanese featured cards above. Whether you prefer a Japanese booster box or an English ETB is a separate question that depends on what you collect.

The official English card news also names Mega Zygarde ex (ME03_EN_104) as an Ultra Rare and the first Mega Evolution Pokémon ex in the TCG, with attacks Gaia Wave and Nullifying Zero, in the official card spotlight. That is English-edition numbering, which is different from the Japanese M3 numbering shown on our single-card listings.

Can You Still Buy Nihil Zero From Tokyo After the Release Date?

Yes, we list Nihil Zero sealed product and PSA 10 single cards on our shop, and they ship from Tokyo by FedEx with a tracking number. Stock levels for sealed Japanese trading card products fluctuate frequently, so check each product page for its current status.

The sealed option is the M3 Nihil Zero booster box carton: 12 Japanese booster boxes, purchase unit one carton. The page notes it ships as the carton itself rather than as 12 individual boxes, and there is a separate single-box listing for M3-Munikis Zero (Nihil Zero).

For single cards, we list PSA 10 (Gem Mint) graded cards from the set. The product pages describe PSA 10 as the highest grade certifiable by Professional Sports Authenticator, and they note that the PSA case may have minor scratches or marks on its surface.

Note that several of these cards have more than one listing on our site, and some listings show as unavailable. Always open the exact product page you intend to buy. Our shipping policy also states that PSA graded cards may be sold through our other sales channels, so an item shown online may already be sold before our team locks the allocation for your order. Once payment has cleared, the policy says we will secure the matching PSA graded card, even if more sourcing is required, which can make dispatch take longer.

How Long Does Delivery Take After You Order Nihil Zero?

Most orders are processed and shipped within 5 business days after PayPal or Wise payment has cleared, and FedEx transit is then usually 3-7 business days on standard shipping. Both figures are estimates, not guarantees, per our shipping policy.

The policy adds that delivery dates shown at checkout or in carrier tools do not include our handling time, supplier allocation delays, quality inspection holds, weekends, Japanese national holidays, customs processing, carrier congestion or weather. Once an order is with FedEx, customs inspections and import procedures can delay delivery and are outside our control. The policy also says transit delays by themselves do not create a right to cancel or refund after dispatch.

You can track an order from your customer account. After dispatch, the tracking number and the carrier’s latest delivery estimate appear in your account or shipping confirmation email. If dispatch is delayed, the policy says we will contact you by email as soon as practical with a revised estimate, and for significant delays before handoff to FedEx we may offer the option to wait or to cancel with a full refund.

Check the address carefully before paying. While an order is paid and its shipment has not yet been scheduled, you can update the shipping address yourself under My Account > Orders. The destination country cannot be changed.

How Do You Pay for Nihil Zero Orders From Abroad?

You pay in Japanese yen (JPY) by Wise bank transfer, PayPal, or a card through PayPal, as set out on our payment methods page. Any gap between the amount charged and your statement, such as exchange rates or issuer fees, is set by your payment provider.

For Wise, enter the payment reference SST-{order number} in the transfer reference field exactly as issued. SWIFT payments incur a receiving fee of JPY 611, so the page asks you to add JPY 611 to the order total and to choose the OUR charge option so correspondent bank fees are covered on your side. The Pay Later options we see at checkout include PayPal Pay in 4 in the United States, Canada and Australia, and PayPal Pay in 3 in the United Kingdom, and each of these listed options is interest-free. Read PayPal’s terms in its own window before confirming.
