The Pokemon Mega Kangaskhan ex Box is a promo-and-packs product: the official pokemon.com page prints “Launch: December 05, 2025” and lists a foil promo card, an oversize lenticular promo card and four booster packs.
The card on the box has four official Japanese prints: three in Mega Symphonia (M1S), released August 1, 2025, and one promo, M-P 086, which Bulbapedia reports as a Gym Entry Campaign prize. Bulbapedia describes the promo in the English box, MEP 025, as alternate artwork to the set print, so the sources report no Japanese print of the promo’s own image.
Our Tokyo store sells Japanese sealed product and graded singles. Dollar figures use ¥154 per USD, rounded, and every SNKRDUNK figure is an asking price dated October 2, 2026.
The English box holds a foil promo, an oversize lenticular promo and four booster packs, per the official page. The promo, MEP 025, credits 5ban Graphics and is alternate artwork per Bulbapedia. The Japanese prints of Mega Kangaskhan ex are M1S 051 RR, 080 SR and 089 SAR plus M-P 086, with no MUR. The Japanese Mega Symphonia box is offered as a Damaged Box at ¥6,913 (~$45) (更新：当前售罄 — 可通过 Quick Order 申请补货).
The English box facts come from the official pokemon.com page, the Japanese card rows from the official card database, and the promo notes from Limitless TCG and Bulbapedia.
Prices use ¥154 per USD. The English box facts are official; promo notes are reported by Limitless TCG and Bulbapedia, dated October 2, 2026.
What Is Inside the Mega Kangaskhan ex Box
The official product page is titled Pokémon TCG: Mega Kangaskhan ex Box. Its description centres on the Ability Run Errand, which draws extra cards, and the attack Rapid-Fire Combo, which flips coins to seek bigger damage, and it says the box pairs a playable foil promo with an oversize lenticular version for display.
The includes line is printed in three parts, and the page names where the box is sold.

| 价格 | No price on the page |
| Expansions of the four packs | The page does not name them |

Bulbapedia’s merchandise page (October 2, 2026) adds details the official page leaves out. It calls the promo an etched foil Mega Kangaskhan ex MEP Black Star Promo with alternate artwork to the Mega Evolution print, and it says the four packs come from the Mega Evolution Series and the Scarlet & Violet Series, typically two each of Mega Evolution and Journey Together. It also reports a European release on November 14, 2025. Those points are Bulbapedia’s; the official page says “foil promo card” and does not break down the pack mix.
The English Box Next to the Japanese Mega Symphonia Box
The English box and the Japanese box are different kinds of product. One is a boxed collection with two promo cards and four packs; the other is a booster box of the Japanese expansion pack Mega Symphonia, which the official Japanese page lists at ¥180 (~$1) per pack, tax included, with five cards in each pack.
| Spec | Mega Kangaskhan ex Box (English) | Mega Symphonia box (Japanese) |
|---|---|---|
| Release (official) | December 5, 2025 | August 1, 2025 |
| Format | Boxed set: two promo cards and four packs | Booster packs of five cards |
| Price (official) | No price on the page | ¥180 (~$1) per pack, tax included |
| Contents | Foil promo, oversize lenticular promo, four packs | Random cards; the page prints no extras |
| Packs per box | Four packs in the product | Not printed on the official page |
| Card count | Over 180 in the Mega Evolution expansion (official); 188 per Limitless TCG | 92 cards per Limitless TCG; official database numbers run over /063 |
As of October 2, 2026, the English Mega Evolution expansion has its own official page: release date September 26, 2025, over 180 cards, and nearly a dozen Mega Evolution Pokémon ex. The box launched on December 5, 2025, after the set. The Japanese Mega Symphonia expansion had already released on August 1, 2025, the same day as its companion Mega Brave.
Bulbapedia reports that two promo cards in the English Mega Evolution Elite Trainer Box were previously released in the Mega Brave and Mega Symphonia expansions in Japan. That statement concerns the Elite Trainer Box; the Mega Evolution Elite Trainer Box comparison covers it, and the Mega Brave versus Mega Symphonia box guide sets the two Japanese boxes side by side.
The Promo Card: MEP 025
Limitless TCG’s card page (October 2, 2026) lists Mega Kangaskhan ex as card 25 of the Mega Promos (MEP) set, credited to 5ban Graphics. It is a Basic Colorless Pokémon with 300 HP, a Fighting weakness, no resistance and a retreat cost of 3, and Limitless prints regulation mark I. The same page lists the English set prints MEG 104, MEG 164 and MEG 182 and the Japanese prints Mega Symphonia 51, 80 and 89 and Mega Promotional Cards 86.
| Detail | Value | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Promo number | MEP 25 (Bulbapedia: MEP Promo 25; the lenticular is a Jumbo version) | Limitless TCG and Bulbapedia, October 2, 2026 |
| Illustrator | 5ban Graphics | Limitless TCG |
| Card type | Basic, Colorless, 300 HP | Limitless TCG |
| Finish | Etched foil | Bulbapedia (the official page says “foil promo card”) |
| Artwork | Alternate artwork to the Mega Evolution print | Bulbapedia |
As of October 2, 2026, Bulbapedia’s card page for Mega Kangaskhan ex (Mega Evolution 104) states that the box promo is a variant of the Regular card with alternate artwork, issued in the MEP Black Star Promos series and distributed with the Mega Kangaskhan ex Box from December 5, 2025. A shared illustrator credit does not make two prints the same image.
Every Official Japanese Print of Mega Kangaskhan ex
As of October 2, 2026, the official Pokémon Card Game database lists four cards under the exact name メガガルーラex. Three are in Mega Symphonia and one is a promo. The database prints no MUR print, and the older XY-era card named メガガルーラEX is a different card.
| Official database number | Rarity icon | Illustrator | Stage and HP |
|---|---|---|---|
| M1S 051/063 | RR | 5ban Graphics | Basic, 300 HP |
| M1S 080/063 | SR | 5ban Graphics | Basic, 300 HP |
| M1S 089/063 | SAR | GOTO minori | Basic, 300 HP |
| M-P 086/M-P | No rarity icon (promo) | 5ban Graphics | Basic, 300 HP |
As of October 2, 2026, the card text is identical on all four database pages. The Ability is おつかいダッシュ, which lets the Pokémon draw 2 cards once per turn while it is in the Active spot, and which cannot be used in a turn that another おつかいダッシュ was used (rendering). The attack is マシンガンコンボ, which has a base damage of 200+, flipping a coin until tails and adding 50 damage for each heads (rendering). The official English page names the Ability Run Errand and the attack Rapid-Fire Combo, matching these two.
The special rule says that when a Mega Evolution ex is Knocked Out, the opponent takes 3 Prize cards (rendering). The card is a Basic with a Fighting weakness (×2), no resistance and a retreat cost of 3, and it has no evolution line.
English Set Prints Paired with Japanese Prints by Illustrator Credit
Pairing by illustrator credit matches an English print on Limitless TCG with a Japanese print in the official database that carries the same credit. Limitless lists MEG 104 as a Double Rare, MEG 164 as an Ultra Rare and MEG 182 as a Special Art Rare, each with a credit that matches a Japanese Mega Symphonia print.
| English print (Limitless) | Credit | Japanese print (official database) | Credit match |
|---|---|---|---|
| MEG 104, Double Rare | 5ban Graphics | M1S 051/063 RR | Same illustrator credit |
| MEG 164, Ultra Rare | 5ban Graphics | M1S 080/063 SR | Same illustrator credit |
| MEG 182, Special Art Rare | GOTO minori | M1S 089/063 SAR | Same illustrator credit |
| MEP 025 promo (English box) | 5ban Graphics | No Japanese print of its artwork reported | Bulbapedia: alternate artwork |
| No English box print | 5ban Graphics | M-P 086/M-P | Bulbapedia: reprint of the Regular print |
The promo shares a credit with M1S 051, M1S 080 and M-P 086, and a shared credit is not evidence of a shared image. Bulbapedia’s wording for the promo is alternate artwork, so none of the Japanese prints is described as the Japanese form of MEP 025.
The English side has three set prints against three Mega Symphonia prints, so a collector of the set card has a clean match by credit. A collector of the promo has the English box, since Bulbapedia reports no Japanese print of the promo’s artwork.
The Gym Entry Campaign Print, M-P 086
M-P 086/M-P is the fourth Japanese print, and its documentation is thinner. The official database page prints the card text and the 5ban Graphics credit but names no product. Bulbapedia’s card page says the Regular print was reprinted as an M-P promotional card and distributed as part of a Pokémon Card Gym Entry Campaign that ran from March 1, 2026 until August 31, 2026, with the promotional copy going to those who earned four stamps.
SNKRDUNK’s listing title for the card names the campaign, in its own words, as the first-half 2026 Gym Entry Campaign (ポケカジムエントリーキャンペーン2026年前期). That is store naming rather than an official product line, so the campaign link rests on Bulbapedia. The same Bulbapedia text describes the promo as a reprint of the Regular print, which is M1S 051’s art, and not of the MEP 025 art.
Lowest Asks on SNKRDUNK for the Japanese Prints
The SNKRDUNK product pages print a lowest ask and a per-condition grid. All are asking prices, not sales, and all carry the date October 2, 2026.
| Japanese print | Lowest ask on SNKRDUNK, October 2, 2026 | PSA 10 ask, same date | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| M1S 051/063 RR | ¥1,000 (~$6) | ¥5,999 (~$39) | ¥1,000 is the display floor |
| M1S 080/063 SR | ¥1,000 (~$6) | ¥4,200 (~$27) | ¥1,000 is the display floor |
| M1S 089/063 SAR | ¥2,000 (~$13) | ¥9,800 (~$64) | 状态 A ask is ¥2,800 (~$18) |
| M-P 086/M-P | ¥2,300 (~$15) | No listing | Weak: a single listing |
The PSA 10 column is the product page’s PSA 10 row for each card. The SAR has a PSA 10 route on our side: it is offered as a PSA 10 back order at ¥9,988 (~$65) — sourced to order; the product page shows the current terms. The route is explained in the PSA 10 back orders guide.
No listing exists in our store for M1S 051, M1S 080, M-P 086 or any MEP 025 card. Requests for a specific print go through 快速下单.
The Japanese Mega Symphonia Box and Its Store Listings
The official Japanese page prints the Mega Symphonia release as Friday, August 1, 2025, with each pack at ¥180 (~$1) including tax and five 张/包. Limitless TCG’s set header reads 92 cards. The card list for the set is on our Mega Symphonia card list, with older write-ups in the Mega Symphonia complete guide and the Mega Symphonia pull rates and best cards article.

| M1S box (Sealed), option of the standard box | ¥7,568 (~$49) |
| Mega Symphonia Pokemon Center Set (contents not confirmed) | ¥20,250 (~$131) |
Each Damaged Box is its own store product with its own terms. The standard box is a variable product with several options, and the price in the table belongs to its Sealed option.
On SNKRDUNK the lowest ask for the Mega Symphonia box is ¥7,190 (~$47), for the No Shrink box ¥6,100 (~$40) and for the Mega Symphonia Pokemon Center Set ¥16,000 (~$104), each as the lowest ask on SNKRDUNK, October 2, 2026.

Checklist for Choosing Between the Two Boxes
Five checks separate the two products.
- Promo wanted. MEP 025 comes in the English box, and Bulbapedia reports no Japanese print of that artwork.
- Set print wanted. The set prints are in Mega Symphonia as M1S 051 RR, M1S 080 SR and M1S 089 SAR, each paired by illustrator credit to MEG 104, 164 and 182.
- Number and denominator. Japanese rows print /063 even for cards numbered beyond 063, and the promo is M-P 086/M-P.
- Product type. The Damaged Box and the No Shrink Damaged Box are separate store products from the standard box.
- Dated asks. A SNKRDUNK figure is an asking price on one day, and ¥1,000 is a display floor.

What is in the Pokemon Mega Kangaskhan ex Box?
The official pokemon.com page lists one foil promo card featuring Mega Kangaskhan ex, one oversize lenticular promo card featuring Mega Kangaskhan ex and four Pokémon TCG booster packs. The page prints a launch of December 05, 2025 and gives no price, and it does not say which expansions the packs come from.
When did the Mega Kangaskhan ex Box release?
The official page prints “Launch: December 05, 2025”. The English Mega Evolution expansion released earlier, on September 26, 2025, per its official page. The Japanese Mega Symphonia (M1S) expansion released on August 1, 2025, per the official Japanese page, and its packs cost ¥180 (~$1) each.
What card number is the Mega Kangaskhan ex Box promo?
Limitless TCG lists it as Mega Promos (MEP) card 25, credited to 5ban Graphics, and Bulbapedia lists it as MEP Promo 25 with a Jumbo lenticular version. Bulbapedia calls the promo alternate artwork to the Mega Evolution print, so the set prints MEG 104, 164 and 182 are different cards.

No Japanese print of the promo’s artwork is reported. Mega Symphonia has M1S 051 RR, 080 SR and 089 SAR, which share illustrator credits with MEG 104, 164 and 182. A shared credit is not evidence of a shared image, and Bulbapedia calls the box promo alternate artwork.
