The Set: Sky-Splitting Charisma (SM7)

SM7 is 裂空のカリスマ (Sky-Splitting Charisma), an expansion pack released in Japan on June 1, 2018, with 96 cards in the main numbering. Bulbapedia’s list of Japanese expansions (as of September 15, 2026) pairs it with the English set Celestial Storm. The number 101 is above the 96-card main count.

On the English side, the official pokemon.com page gives Celestial Storm a release date of August 3, 2018 and “over 160 cards”, and its overview names Rayquaza-GX among the lineup. Bulbapedia’s Print Table for Rayquaza-GX

Bulbapedia’s card page for Rayquaza-GX (Celestial Storm 109), as of September 30, 2026, pairs the Japanese prints with English prints. The SR 101/096 sits in the middle row of the Sky-Splitting Charisma trio.

Bulbapedia’s release note states that the card was included as a regular card, a full-art card and a secret Rainbow Rare in Celestial Storm, first released in the Japanese Sky-Splitting Charisma expansion, each with artwork by 5ban Graphics. It adds that the regular print was reprinted in GX Ultra Shiny and in Tag All Stars, and that the full-art print in GX Ultra Shiny features the shiny version of Rayquaza.

The shiny print was later available outside Japan as a Yellow A Alternate card in the European Hidden Fates Premium Powers Collection from October 18, 2019, and in the international Hidden Fates Ultra-Premium Collection from November 15, 2019, according to the same note. The SR 101/096 is not the shiny print; the shiny artwork belongs to the SM8b SSR 240/150.

Ability, Attack and GX Attack as Printed

The database text for SM7 101/096 gives the card one ability, one attack and one GX attack. It follows the Pokémon-GX rule: when it is knocked out, the opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

• Grade wording. The listing name begins “PSA10”; other grades are different products.
