Two Mega Evolutions of one Pokémon, and not a single card between them yet. Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y are official as game Pokémon — the Pokémon LEGENDS Z-A 『M次元ラッシュ』 (Mega Dimension) site introduced both on September 12, 2025 — and Pokébeach reported on August 25, 2026 that Japan’s next high class pack, MEGA x MEGA Parade, is built around the pair. As of October 1, 2026 no Mega Raichu X or Mega Raichu Y card has been shown by the Pokémon Company, and the official card database has no entry for either.
That gap is the working material. The official game facts are complete and quotable, the set report is dated and attributed, and Raichu’s own Japanese print history is in the card database, so the three can be laid out without inventing a card: what the two forms are, what has been said about their cards, and which Raichu prints exist now for collectors who want the line before the Parade set arrives.
We sell Japanese sealed product and graded singles from Tokyo. Prices use ¥154/USD, verified October 1, 2026, and sourcing requests for the Parade set go through Pedido rápido.

Mega Raichu X vs Mega Raichu Y: The Official Facts
The pokemon.co.jp page 「メガライチュウX」「メガライチュウY」を発見! is the primary source. Both forms are ねずみポケモン (Mouse Pokémon), both are でんき (Electric) type, and each uses its own Mega Stone, which the English Mega Dimension site on legends.pokemon.com states as «These two Mega Evolutions of Raichu each Mega Evolve using a different Mega Stone.»

The Japanese page adds the detail behind each description. Mega Raichu X generates an electromagnetic field from its two tails and rides the repelling force to float and move; a thick layer of subcutaneous fat lets it sustain high-output electricity for a long time and gives it high defence. Mega Raichu Y is the short-decisive-battle form: its cheek sacs are powered up, the current it generates is amplified as it passes through the head and tail, and the page describes its temperament as rough and combative. Those two paragraphs are the full official character of the pair, and every card detail beyond them is not confirmed.
What Has Been Said About the Cards
Pokébeach’s August 25, 2026 article is the only report that ties the pair to a card product: «The set will feature Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y, both of which debuted in Mega Dimension. It’s possible the set name is referring to the pair.» The outlet gave the set’s reported release as Friday, February 19, 2027 and the pack as ¥550 for 10 cards. Pokébeach’s follow-up on August 31, which covered the four Mega Attack Rares shown in the official video, did not mention a Raichu card, and neither official video showed one.
| Question | Answer as of October 1, 2026 | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Is Mega Raichu X in MEGA x MEGA Parade? | Reported as a featured Pokémon of the set | Reported (Pokébeach, August 25, 2026) |
| Is Mega Raichu Y in MEGA x MEGA Parade? | Reported as a featured Pokémon of the set | Reported (Pokébeach, August 25, 2026) |
| Has a Mega Raichu X or Y card been shown? | No official image, number, rarity or illustrator | Not shown |
| Is there a Mega Raichu entry in the official card database? | No; the ライチュウ search returns 47 Raichu rows and no メガライチュウ row | Checked October 1, 2026 |
| Will the cards be Mega Evolution ex cards? | Not confirmed; every Mega Evolution printed in the MEGA series so far has been a Pokémon ex, but no rule has been stated for these two | Not confirmed |
| Is the gold Mega Raichu X card on X real? | No; it prints the MEGA Dream ex number 250/193, which belongs to Mega Dragonite ex MUR | Fan-made mock-up |
The report names the pair as featured Pokémon of the set; nothing about how their cards are printed is known. Our MEGA x MEGA Parade card list tracker holds the two Raichu rows in the reported column until the official site shows a card, and the MEGA x MEGA Parade hub carries the release-date and pack facts.
How Mega Evolution ex Cards Have Been Printed So Far
Without a Raichu card to describe, the closest official reference is the way the MEGA series has printed other Mega Evolutions. The pattern since the first MEGA expansions in 2025 is a Mega Evolution Pokémon ex in the main set as a Double Rare, with a Super Rare, a Special Art Rare and a Mega Ultra Rare version in the secret-rare block, and in the high class pack a further Mega Attack Rare version. The four cards shown for the Parade set follow exactly that path: Mega Greninja ex, Mega Zygarde ex, Mega Darkrai ex and Mega Rayquaza ex each already hold RR, SR, SAR and MUR prints in the official database, and the August 31 renders add an MA version of each.
MEGA Dream ex, the November 28, 2025 high class pack, is the clearest precedent for a Mega Evolution that debuted in the game before it reached the card game: the pack’s ten Mega Attack Rares and its 17 Special Art Rares were all Mega Evolution ex cards that had appeared in the preceding expansions. Mega Raichu X and Y are different in one respect — they have no earlier card to re-illustrate — so whether they arrive as new main-set cards, as secret rares, or both is not confirmed. The Mega Evolution ex rule box used across the series (three Prize cards when Knocked Out) is the mechanic a buyer can expect only if the cards are printed as Pokémon ex.

Raichu’s Japanese Prints in the Official Database
The official card database returns 47 rows for the exact name ライチュウ. The most collected modern prints sit in the Scarlet & Violet era, where Raichu picked up an Art Rare, a Shiny (S) print and a reprint in the 151 set within two years. The table lists the prints that matter most to collectors, with the database’s rarity icon and illustrator credit.
| Set (code) | Rarity icon | Illustrator | HP | Note | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Raichu 237/190 | Shiny Treasure ex (SV4a) | S | Sanosuke Sakuma | 120 | Shiny print of the 2023 high class pack |
| Raichu 056/190 | Shiny Treasure ex (SV4a) | none printed | Naoyo Kimura | 120 | Main-set reprint |
| Raichu 074/071 | Clay Burst (SV2D) | AR | Toshinao Aoki | 140 | Art Rare |
| Raichu 018/071 | Clay Burst (SV2D) | U | Teeziro | 140 | Main-set print |
| Raichu 026/165 | Pokémon Card 151 (SV2a) | R | Naoyo Kimura | 120 | The 151 print; our listing is the Master Ball mirror version |
| Raichu 024/071 | Cyber Judge (SV5M) | C | cochi8i | 130 | Main-set print |
| Raichu 004/015 | 25th Anniversary Golden Box (S8a-G) | none printed | Hasuno | 130 | Golden Box promo-style print |
| Raichu 027/069 | Eevee Heroes (S6a) | R | Mitsuhiro Arita | 130 | Arita-credited print |
| Raichu 034/087 | 20th Anniversary Concept Pack (CP6) | R | Ken Sugimori | 100 | Sugimori-credited reprint of the original art |
| Raichu 011/032 | Pokekyun Collection (CP3) | C | Aya Kusube | 90 | Pokekyun print |
| Raichu 015/071 | Dark Phantasma (S10a) | U | GIDORA | 120 | Two database rows (one is the mirror variant) |
None of these is a Mega card, and none has an ex rule box; Raichu’s only large-format cards in the database are the Raichu & Alolan Raichu GX tag team of 2019 and the older Raichu BREAK line. That is the historical reason a Mega Raichu card draws attention: the Pokémon has had rare art treatments but never a top-rarity ex-era slot of its own. Our Raichu cards guide covers the longer print history.

The Circulating Mega Raichu X Card Image
A gold-foil «メガライチュウX» card image has been shared widely on X: HP 370, an ability named メガエレキブースト, an attack メガボルトストリーム for 330, an illustrator credit to 5ban Graphics, and the number 250/193 under the code m2a with a 2025 copyright line. The number is the tell. In the official MEGA Dream ex (M2a) card list, 250/193 is Mega Dragonite ex MUR, the single Mega Ultra Rare of that set, and M2a is the 2025 pack’s code. The image is a fan-made mock-up, and nothing on it should be read as a Parade reveal.
The same check works for the gold box and pack renders and the pack mock-up that places Mega Raichu beside Mewtwo and Charizard: each prints either the M2a code, a 2024 copyright line or 「第2弾」 copy reused from an older product. Our leaked images vs official article shows all of them with the identifying detail. The separate single-form guides, Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y, follow each form on its own.
Where to Buy Japanese Pokemon Boxes and Raichu Cards from Tokyo
We ship Japanese sealed product and graded singles from Tokyo. While the Parade set is pending, the previous high class pack is the sealed product that carries the Mega Evolution ex treatment printed across the MEGA series.
The M2A MEGA Dream ex Damaged Box is currently listed at ¥11,977 (~$78) as a separate product. Set-by-set card lists are on our card list hub, and Raichu singles, sourcing requests for a specific product, including MEGA x MEGA Parade, go through Pedido rápido.
Update Log
- October 1, 2026 — First version: official game facts for both forms, the Pokébeach report, the absence of any card in the official database, Raichu’s modern prints and our PSA 10 listings. Planned next update: the first official Mega Raichu X or Y card image.
Preguntas frecuentes
Is there a Mega Raichu X or Mega Raichu Y Pokemon card?
Not as of October 1, 2026. Both forms are official game Pokémon on the Pokémon LEGENDS Z-A Mega Dimension site, and Pokébeach reported on August 25, 2026 that Japan’s MEGA x MEGA Parade set features them, but the Pokémon Company has shown no card and the official card database has no Mega Raichu entry.
When does the MEGA x MEGA Parade set with Mega Raichu release?
The reported Japanese release date is Friday, February 19, 2027, from Pokébeach’s August 25, 2026 article, with ¥550 packs of 10 cards. The official Pokémon Card Game site had not listed the product as of October 1, 2026, so the date is reported rather than official.
What is the difference between Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y?
Per pokemon.co.jp, Mega Raichu X is 1.2 m and 38.0 kg, floats by electromagnetic force from its two tails and concentrates electricity into its fists; Mega Raichu Y is 1.0 m and 26.0 kg, strikes swiftly with amplified discharges and has a rough temperament. Each uses its own Mega Stone.
Is the gold Mega Raichu X card on X an official reveal?
No. The image prints the number 250/193 under the code m2a, and in the official MEGA Dream ex list 250/193 is Mega Dragonite ex MUR, the 2025 pack’s only Mega Ultra Rare. That makes it a fan-made mock-up, and no Mega Raichu card had been shown officially as of October 1, 2026.
How much do Raichu PSA 10 cards cost from Japan?
Our PSA 10 back orders range from the 25th Anniversary Golden Box Raichu at ¥4,854 (~$32) to the 1st Edition Pokekyun Collection Raichu at ¥27,030 (~$176), with the Shiny Treasure ex S print at ¥8,886 (~$58). The Raichu and Alolan Raichu GX SA slab is listed at ¥183,155 (~$1,189).
How many Raichu cards are in the official Japanese card database?
A search for the exact name ライチュウ returned 47 rows on October 1, 2026, across sets from the early Concept Packs to Cyber Judge. The Scarlet & Violet era holds the most collected modern prints: the Clay Burst Art Rare, the Shiny Treasure ex S print and the Pokémon Card 151 reprint.
