Like the other 29 cards in the 136–165 run, Scizor ex carries the set’s Classic Collection « C » mark next to the M6a set code and is explicitly not usable under current Standard rules — it’s a display and collecting card, playable only in whichever legacy format the 2005 original is legal in. Danger Perception made Scizor ex a genuine threat as it took damage rather than a liability — drop below 60 remaining HP and every attack jumps by 40, turning a card that looks cornered into the more dangerous option. Steel Wing’s built-in damage reduction on the following turn extended that survivability further, and Cross-Cut punished the Evolved Pokemon that made up most competitive decks of the era.
