Pokemon Card VS Leaders’ Pokemon Grass and Lightning Half Deck (2001)
Japonais Pokemon Card VS (ポケモンカード★VS) half deck, Grass and Lightning type pairing. Pokemon Card VS was sold in Japan only, as three random 30-card half decks rather than 10-card booster packs, and has no English-language release. Released on 19 July 2001. Each pack contains 30 randomly assorted cards: 12 Pokemon (including 1 holofoil; Grass, Lightning and Colorless types), 6 Trainer cards (including 2 Technical Machines) and 12 Energy cards (basic Grass and Lightning Energy plus 1 holofoil Special Energy).
Pokemon Card VS was the first Japanese set printed with the current « Pokemon » card back, replacing the original Japanese back (« Old Back ») used on sets released before July 2001. Cards from this deck are therefore not Old Back cards.
