Xerneas in Chaos Rising and Ninja Spinner: The Four Cards

Two English cards and two Japanese cards make up the pairing. Limitless TCG lists each English card with the Japanese Ninja Spinner numbers on its card page, and Bulbapedia’s card page for Xerneas (Chaos Rising 42), as of October 1, 2026, gives the same two rows.

The English rarity names are each source’s own: Limitless calls CRI 91 an Art Rare, Bulbapedia an Illustration Rare. The Japanese rarity codes are the icons printed in the official database. Bulbapedia records the first card as a regular print and the second as a full-art illustration rare print, and describes both as included in Chaos Rising “first released in the Japanese Ninja Spinner expansion.”

The name is ゼルネアス in Japanese. Ninja Spinner is a Japanese expansion released on March 13, 2026, and Bulbapedia’s set page connects Chaos Rising to it; this pair is one of the card-level matches inside that connection. Xerneas R: Chaos Rising 42 and Ninja Spinner 042/083

The regular print is the first of the two. The official database lists it under Ninja Spinner as 042/083 with the R icon, credited to KEIICHIRO ITO. It is a Basic Psychic Pokémon with 130 HP.

Limitless TCG lists the Japanese card as Ninja Spinner #42, Rare, and shows Chaos Rising #42 and #91 as the international prints. The English card page for Chaos Rising #42 credits KEIICHIRO ITO as well and prints the same 130 HP Psychic card with Metal weakness and a retreat cost of two. Bulbapedia’s infobox caption gives the regular print’s artwork to KEIICHIRO ITO.

The two Japanese Xerneas rows in Ninja Spinner share identical HP, attack, weakness and retreat data in the database, so the R and the AR differ in artwork and rarity rather than in game text. The English side follows the same rule on Limitless: CRI 42 and CRI 91 print the same line of card data.

The official database lists 21 rows named exactly ゼルネアス. XY 095/171 and 096/171 each have two database entries. Set codes are the set-mark labels the database prints; the two Ninja Spinner cards are the M4 lines. “No icon” means the database shows no rarity icon for the row, as is the case for deck, promo and special-set prints.

The database prints Fairy as the type on the CP, X30, MMB-P, SM, XY and XYP rows and Psychic on the M1S, M4, M6a, MC, S3a, S8a and SVLN rows. Only the two M4 cards pair with English Chaos Rising cards on Bulbapedia and Limitless.
