The Card: Umbreon 092/187 R

Umbreon is a Stage 1 Darkness-type Pokemon, evolving from Eevee. It carries 110 HP and two attacks: だましうち (50 damage, ignores Weakness and Resistance) and しっこくのやいば — “Dark Blade” (140 damage, with the drawback that Umbreon can’t attack on the following turn). The card is illustrated by matazo, and it is printed at card number 092 inside Terastal Festival ex’s 187-card main run — a standard numbered slot, not a secret or special one.

What makes our listing notable isn’t the base artwork — it’s the foil. Our graded copy is the Master Ball Mirror print: a parallel where the Master Ball silhouette (rounder ears, plus the “M” mark) is etched repeatedly into the card’s holo pattern. It is the exact same card, name, and number as the regular print shown above — the difference is entirely in the foil pattern, which doesn’t register in a flat product photo. Per our own dedicated guide on the mechanic, the Master Ball Mirror treatment is restricted to C, U, and R-rarity cards; it never appears on SR-or-above chase cards, which is consistent with Umbreon 092/187’s own R rarity.

The Set: Terastal Festival ex (SV8a)

Terastal Festival ex — ハイクラスパック「テラスタルフェスex」in Japanese, with Limitless TCG’s database also labelling it as “High Class Pack: Terastal Fest ex” — is set code SV8a, released 6 December 2024 with a total of 237 cards. It sits in the Scarlet & Violet era of Japanese Pokemon sets.

Umbreon 092/187 is printed at R (Rare), which sits below the SR and SAR tiers that Terastal Festival ex reserves for its full alternate-art chase cards. Terastal Festival ex, for instance, also includes Friends of Paldea 195/187, a Secret Rare (SR) from the same set — a structurally higher rarity tier than Umbreon’s R-rarity slot.

Our own PSA 10 copy of Friends of Paldea SR 195/187 is currently listed at ¥7,986 (~$50) — below our current Master Ball Mirror listing for Umbreon at ¥32,560 (~$205), despite sitting on a structurally higher official rarity tier. That gap reflects how the Master Ball Mirror is a separate, additional layer of scarcity applied on top of the C/U/R rarity tiers, rather than a step on the same ladder as SR and SAR — the two systems measure different things, and current listing prices between the two are not directly comparable on rarity letter alone.
