Four Mega Attack Rares, four 2026 expansions, one video. On August 31, 2026 the Pokémon Company’s YouTube channels showed Mega Greninja ex 208/165, Mega Zygarde ex 214/165, Mega Darkrai ex 217/165 and Mega Rayquaza ex 218/165 after the World Championships, and pokemon.com’s closing-ceremony recap named all four in writing. Pokébeach placed them in “what is presumably February’s MEGA x MEGA Parade”, the Japanese high class pack it reports for Friday, February 19, 2027; as of October 1, 2026 no official page names the set, so the cards are official and their set placement is reported.
Each is a re-illustrated version of a card already in the official card database, with the same HP, ability and attacks as its 2026 print, which is exactly how the ten Mega Attack Rares of MEGA Dream ex were built in 2025. The guide below takes the four one at a time: what the render prints, where the card comes from, what the earlier prints are in Japanese and English, and the dated prices of those prints in our PSA 10 listings and on the Japanese market.
We sell Japanese sealed product and graded singles from Tokyo. Prices use ¥154/USD, verified October 1, 2026; market figures are SNKRDUNK’s lowest asking prices on the dates given, never sales.
Official: four MA cards shown August 31, 2026 on renders captioned “under development and may differ from the final products”. Reported: the set (MEGA x MEGA Parade), its February 19, 2027 date and ¥550 ten-card pack (Pokébeach). Not confirmed: the total number of MA cards in the set, and everything else on its list. The 2026 prints of all four have a PSA 10 back-order route; the M2A MEGA Dream ex booster box, the 2025 pack that introduced the rarity, is currently listed at ¥12,936 (~$84) in its No Shrink option.
First version, built from the official record and dated reports as of October 1, 2026; the update log records every change.
The Reveal: What Is Official and What Is Reported
The Japanese channel’s video 「【公式】ポケモンカードゲーム「ex★」」 and the English channel’s “NEW ex★ Series & Mega Lucario Z ex Reveal | PokémonXP and Pokémon Worlds 2026” went up on August 31, 2026 (12:52 JST). Their descriptions name Mega Lucario Z ex and the ex★ series; the four Mega Attack Rares appear in the footage, and pokemon.com’s recap of the closing ceremonies lists “Mega Darkrai ex, Mega Zygarde ex, Mega Greninja ex, and Mega Rayquaza ex” as Mega attack rare sneak peeks. The English video’s caption, “Cards shown are under development and may differ from the final products”, applies to every figure read from the renders.

Mega Greninja ex MA 208/165
The render prints a Stage 2 Water Pokémon with 350 HP, evolving from Frogadier. Its ability ひっさつしゅりけん lets the player, once per turn while the card is Active, discard a basic Water Energy from hand to place six damage counters on one opposing Pokémon; its attack ニンジャスピナー for two Water Energy does 120 damage plus 80 more if the player returns a Water Energy from the card to hand. Weakness Lightning ×2, retreat cost 1, illustrator credit Taiga Kasai. The official database row for Mega Greninja ex in Ninja Spinner prints the same ability, attack, HP and weakness.

Mega Zygarde ex MA 214/165

Mega Rayquaza ex MA 218/165
The render prints a Basic Colorless Pokémon with 280 HP. Its ability はしゃのほうこう triggers when the card is played from hand to the Bench: look at the top four cards of the deck, attach one basic Energy from among them to this Pokémon, and return the rest to the bottom. Its attack ストームエメラルダ for Fire, Lightning and Colorless Energy does 50 damage times the number of Fire and Lightning Energy attached to all the player’s Pokémon; the attack name is the one set across the render’s artwork. Weakness Lightning ×2, resistance Fighting −30, retreat cost 2, illustrator credit Saboteri. The official database rows for Mega Rayquaza ex in Storm Emeralda print the same ability and attack.

Storm Emeralda released on July 31, 2026, and its English counterpart, Delta Reign, is dated November 6, 2026 on pokemon.com, which is why no English print of the 2026 Mega Rayquaza ex exists yet. The M6 Storm Emeralda Japanese booster box is currently listed from ¥9,380 (~$61). Our Mega Rayquaza ex card guide covers the prints in depth.
Asking Prices for the Source Prints, Dated
Every PSA 10 row above is offered as a PSA 10 back order — sourced to order; the product page shows the current terms — and the route is explained on our PSA 10 back order page. For context, SNKRDUNK’s lowest asking prices for the same prints, raw and in PSA 10, on the dates we read them:
| Raw lowest ask | PSA 10 lowest ask (listings read) | Date (JST) | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mega Greninja ex M4 114/083 SAR | ¥14,999 | ¥25,900 (33) | September 30, 2026 |
| Mega Greninja ex M4 120/083 MUR | ¥30,000 | ¥95,000 (30) | September 30, 2026 |
| Mega Zygarde ex M3 113/080 SAR | ¥2,499 | ¥6,199 (21) | October 1, 2026 |
| Mega Zygarde ex M3 117/080 MUR | ¥13,900 | ¥40,000 (10) | October 1, 2026 |
| Mega Darkrai ex M5 114/081 SAR | ¥13,555 | ¥31,500 (30) | September 30, 2026 |
| Mega Darkrai ex M5 118/081 MUR | ¥23,500 | ¥58,700 (30) | September 30, 2026 |
| Mega Rayquaza ex M6 110/076 SAR | ¥27,999 | ¥88,000 (30) | September 30, 2026 |
| Mega Rayquaza ex M6 113/076 MUR | ¥40,000 | ¥204,800 (30) | September 30, 2026 |
The four Pokémon sit in very different places on that table: the Rayquaza MUR’s PSA 10 ask is more than thirty times the Zygarde SAR’s. The MA versions have no market history at all, since no card has been printed; MEGA Dream ex’s MA cards, a year on, sit below their SAR and MUR counterparts in our listings, which the Mega Attack Rare complete list sets out.
What the MA Rarity Means for the Parade Set
The MEGA Dream ex product page introduced MA (メガアタックレア) on November 28, 2025 as a Mega Evolution Pokémon ex with special artwork and a mirror finish, and the official database placed its ten MA cards at 223–232/193, between the Super Rares and the Special Art Rares of the secret block. Four facts carry over to the Parade renders: the rarity label, the oversized attack-name lettering, the four illustrator credits (Taiga Kasai, 5ban Graphics, DOM and Saboteri drew all ten 2025 cards), and the practice of re-illustrating a card from the preceding year’s expansions rather than printing a new one.
What does not carry over yet is the count. Ten MA cards in 2025 against four shown in 2026 leaves the Parade total not confirmed; the numbering gaps between 208 and 218 are consistent with more MA cards but are not evidence of them. Whether the set’s reported headliners, Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y, appear as MA cards is likewise not confirmed, since no Raichu card has been shown. The MEGA x MEGA Parade vs MEGA Dream ex comparison lines the two packs up figure by figure.

Not confirmed. Four have been shown, numbered 208, 214, 217 and 218 over a 165-card main set on under-development renders. MEGA Dream ex had ten MA cards, and the numbering gaps leave room for more, but no official list or product page existed for the Parade set as of October 1, 2026.
Who illustrated the four Mega Attack Rare renders?
Taiga Kasai (Mega Greninja ex), 5ban Graphics (Mega Zygarde ex), DOM (Mega Darkrai ex) and Saboteri (Mega Rayquaza ex), the same four credits that drew all ten MEGA Dream ex Mega Attack Rares. The Special Art Rare prints of the same cards carry different artists: Susumu Maeya, kantaro, AKIRA EGAWA and Kazuki Minami.
Can I buy the four cards now?
The Mega Attack Rare versions are not printed, so no. Their 2026 source prints are: the Special Art Rares and Mega Ultra Rares are offered as PSA 10 back orders from ¥6,373 (~$41) for the Zygarde SAR to ¥222,136 (~$1,443) for the Rayquaza MUR, and the four sealed boxes start from ¥7,248 (~$47).
