Mega Raichu Y looks like Pikachu and fights like nothing in the Raichu line before it, and there is still no Mega Raichu Y Pokemon card. As of October 1, 2026 the Pokémon Company has shown none, and the official card database has no メガライチュウ row. The official material is the game description on pokemon.co.jp and legends.pokemon.com: cheek sacs that were powered up, a discharge amplified several times over, and a rough, combative temperament.
The card link is a report, not an announcement. Pokébeach wrote on August 25, 2026 that Japan’s MEGA x MEGA Parade high class pack features Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y, with a reported release date of Friday, February 19, 2027. The official Pokémon Card site had not listed the product as of October 1, 2026, so each set claim below is labelled official, reported, circulating or not confirmed.
We sell Japanese sealed product and graded singles from Tokyo. USD figures convert at ¥154/USD, approximate, and sourcing requests for the Parade set go through Snel bestellen.
Official: Mega Raichu Y is a ねずみポケモン of the でんき type, 1.0 m and 26.0 kg, that Mega Evolves with the Mega Stone ライチュウナイトY (pokemon.co.jp). Reported: the form is featured in MEGA x MEGA Parade, released Friday, February 19, 2027 (Pokébeach, August 25, 2026). Not shown: any Mega Raichu card. The previous high class pack, the M2A MEGA Dream ex booster box, is currently listed at ¥12,936 (~$84) in its No Shrink option.
This version covers the official Mega Raichu Y description, the reported set status, the ten Mega Attack Rare cards of the previous high class pack and four Raichu prints from the official database. The first official Mega Raichu card image, if one is shown, is the planned next update.
Mega Raichu Y: The Official Description
The Japanese Pokémon LEGENDS Z-A 『M次元ラッシュ』 site introduced Mega Raichu Y in a post dated September 12, 2025. It is a ねずみポケモン of the でんき type, 1.0 m tall and 26.0 kg, and its one-line summary reads 「優れた瞬発力を持ち、全身を駆け巡って数倍に増幅した電撃を浴びせる」: it has excellent instantaneous power and bathes foes in an electric charge amplified several times as it runs through the whole body.
The English Mega Dimension site on legends.pokemon.com runs under the heading “It Strikes Swiftly and Bathes Foes in Electric Power”. It says Mega Raichu Y’s greatest strength is the ability to unleash its power instantaneously, so it excels in short, decisive battles; that the electric sacs in its cheeks were powered up; and that the energy generated there is amplified as it courses in a zig-zag pattern between its tail and the spiky, horn-like fur on its head. All of that electric energy gives it, in the site’s words, “a wild and combative temperament”, and it favours a straightforward approach over tactical manoeuvres.

Cheek Sacs, Pikachu and the Mega Stone
The official English text closes Mega Raichu Y’s entry with “It bears a distinctive resemblance to Pikachu.” The sentence is the only official statement about how the form relates to the Pikachu line, and it is a description of the game model, not a card statement. For Mega Raichu Y the official text places the cheek sacs at the centre of the description.
Mega Raichu Y Mega Evolves with ライチュウナイトY, the Mega Stone named on the Japanese page, and the English site says each of the two Raichu Mega Evolutions uses a different stone. No English name for the stone appears in the official pages we reviewed, so the Japanese name is the one printed here. The Mega Dimension content released on December 10, 2025 according to a Pokémon press release of that date, and pokemon.com’s news item that day names Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y among the new Mega-Evolved Pokémon.

MEGA x MEGA Parade: Reported Set Status
One outlet connects Mega Raichu Y to a card product. Pokébeach’s August 25, 2026 article reported that the set features Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y, that the set name may refer to the pair, and that the set is Japan’s usual high class pack with ¥550 packs of 10 cards including one hit card per pack. It added that most main-set cards should be reprints from the last year, with the secret rares carrying new alternate artwork. Those last two sentences are Pokébeach’s expectations of the set, not product information.

The reported release date is Friday, February 19, 2027 (Pokébeach, August 25, 2026); the official site had not listed the product as of October 1, 2026. The hub for the set is the MEGA x MEGA Parade release date and price guide, and the card list tracker keeps each line with its status.
The Previous High Class Pack: Ten Mega Attack Rares in MEGA Dream ex
The only official example of a Mega Evolution ex in a high class pack is MEGA Dream ex (m2a), released in Japan on November 28, 2025 at ¥550 for 10 cards. Its official page names the Mega Attack Rare (MA) rarity as new, alongside AR and SAR, and prints no hit line, only 「※カードはランダムに封入されています。」. The official card database lists 250 rows for the set with a /193 denominator, and above 193 it holds 20 AR, 9 SR, 10 MA, 17 SAR and one MUR.
| Number | Mega Attack Rare in MEGA Dream ex | Illustrator |
|---|---|---|
| 223/193 MA | メガリザードンXex | Saboteri |

No Raichu appears in that list, so the MEGA Dream ex data says nothing about how a Mega Raichu card would be printed. Our MEGA Dream ex complete guide and the MEGA x MEGA Parade vs MEGA Dream ex comparison go through the whole set.
Four Raichu Prints From the Official Database
Four prints cover the range of Raichu cards that carry an official credit: a Clay Burst Art Rare, a 25th Anniversary Golden Box print, a Dream League Uncommon and a Dark Phantasma Uncommon. The database rows give the number, rarity icon, HP and illustrator for each.
| Set (code) | Rarity icon | HP | Illustrator | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Raichu 074/071 | Clay Burst (SV2D) | AR | 140 | Toshinao Aoki |
| Raichu 018/071 | Clay Burst (SV2D) | U | 140 | Teeziro |
| Raichu 004/015 | 25th Anniversary Golden Box (S8a-G) | no icon | 130 | Hasuno |
| Raichu 017/049 | Dream League (SM11b) | U | 120 | AKIRA EGAWA |
| Raichu 015/071 | Dark Phantasma (S10a) | U | 120 | GIDORA |
| Raichu 015/055 | SM9a | U | 120 | Shin Nagasawa |
| Raichu 056/190 | SV4a | no icon | 120 | Naoyo Kimura |
| Raichu 035/139 | SVD | no icon | 140 | Teeziro |
| Raichu 226/742 | MC | no icon | 130 | Iori Suzuki |
The SV2D Art Rare is the one AR among the Raichu rows in the official database, and the S10a number has two database rows, one of them the mirror variant. None of these is a Mega card. The longer print history sits in our Raichu cards guide.

The SM11b and S10a Uncommons have no listing with us. For those, sourcing requests for a specific card go through Quick Order.
How to Follow the Reveal
Three official checks answer the question “is there a Mega Raichu Y card” without relying on a report. The pokemon-card.com products and info pages list a set the moment it is announced, and none listed MEGA x MEGA Parade as of October 1, 2026. The official card database lists a Mega Raichu row only once the card is published; a search for メガライチュウ returned none on that date. The Pokémon Company’s YouTube channel and X account carried the August 31, 2026 video, so that channel is where a Raichu card would be shown first if it follows the earlier route.

How many Mega Attack Rare cards did MEGA Dream ex have?
The official database lists 10 Mega Attack Rare cards in MEGA Dream ex, numbered 223/193 to 232/193, from Mega Charizard X ex to Mega Dragonite ex. The set released in Japan on November 28, 2025, and none of the ten is a Raichu.
