Clay Burst (SV2D) Complete Card List: All 99 Cards & the Iono SAR

Clay Burst (SV2D) Complete Card List: All 99 Cards & the Iono SAR

This Clay Burst card list starts with the card that’s widely blamed for selling out an entire Japanese set on day one. Clay Burst (SV2D) released on April 14, 2023 with a 99-card checklist — PokeBeach reported a day-one sellout across Japan and linked the shortage to demand for a single Special Art Rare pull: Iono, card 096/071.

This is the complete numbered checklist for every secret card in クレイバースト / Clay Burst (SV2D), sorted by rarity tier and transcribed card by card from Limitless TCG’s set list. We also cover the reprint history that followed the sellout — a corrective-action statement, made-to-order boxes, and two restock waves — plus the set’s second major chase, Ting-Lu ex, and current sealed box pricing on what we ship out of Tokyo.

Clay Burst released alongside a sister set, Snow Hazard (SV2P), on the same day — a dual-set split that put the Ting-Lu ex / Iono axis in Clay Burst and the Chien-Pao ex / Grusha axis in Snow Hazard. Clay Burst also skipped an entire type: there are no Water-type or Metal-type Pokemon anywhere in the set, since those went to Snow Hazard instead.

Key Takeaways

Clay Burst (SV2D) totals 99 cards: a 71-card base set (001–071) plus 28 secret cards — 12 Art Rare, 8 Super Rare, 5 Special Art Rare, and 3 Ultra Rare. The headline chase is Iono (ナンジャモ) SAR, card 096/071 — distinct from SV4a Shiny Treasure ex’s separate Iono SAR at 350/190. Released April 14, 2023, Clay Burst sold out on day one, went to official made-to-order reprint (Aug–Oct 2023), and saw a further restock in Aug–Sep 2024. A sealed box we list is currently listed at ¥9,880 (~$62).

Updated September 7, 2026

Our SV2D Clay Burst booster box is currently listed at ¥9,880 (~$62), and the Snow Hazard & Clay Burst Pokemon Center Gym Set is currently listed at ¥25,200 (~$158). The graded Tyranitar, Raichu, and Tinkatuff Art Rare PSA10 singles referenced below are sold out at the time of this update — restock requests go through Quick Order.

Clay Burst Card List (SV2D) by Rarity: Every Secret Card

Clay Burst (SV2D) is a main expansion pack, released in Japan on Friday, April 14, 2023. Each pack costs ¥180 (~$1, tax included) and contains 5 random cards, with 30 packs per sealed box.

The base checklist runs No. 001–071. Everything from No. 072 onward is a secret card — 28 of them in total, split across four rarity tiers:

Rarity tier Card numbers Count
AR Art Rare 072–083 12
SR Super Rare 084–091 8
SAR Special Art Rare 092–096 5
UR Ultra Rare 097–099 3

71 base cards plus 28 secrets adds up to 99 total listed cards — the number we use throughout this guide, transcribed directly from Limitless TCG’s card-by-card list. A third-party summary elsewhere on the web describes Clay Burst as a “100-card” set; we couldn’t verify that figure against any card-by-card source, so we treat it as unconfirmed and use 99.

For the complete base checklist (No. 001–071) alongside these secrets, see the SV2D card list page.

Art Rare Tier: 12 Cards

The 12-card AR tier (072–083) reprints twelve base-set Pokemon in full alternate art, including three species with graded PSA 10 singles referenced below:

No. JP Name Rarity
Tyranitar AR 079/071 Clay Burst SV2D
Tyranitar (バンギラス), AR 079/071

Tyranitar AR (079/071) is the alternate-art printing of the base set’s Rare-tier Tyranitar (052/071): PSA10 Tyranitar AR [SV2D 079/071] (update: currently sold out — restock requests via Quick Order) is sold out at the time of this update — restock requests go through Quick Order.

Raichu AR (074/071) is the second AR-tier PSA 10 single referenced here: PSA10 Raichu AR [SV2D 074/071] (update: currently sold out — restock requests via Quick Order) is sold out at the time of this update — restock requests via Quick Order.

The third is Tinkatuff AR (077/071), the middle stage of the Tinkatink evolution line: PSA10 Tinkatuff AR [SV2D 077/071] (update: currently sold out — restock requests via Quick Order) is sold out at the time of this update — restock requests via Quick Order as well.

Super Rare Tier: 8 Cards

The 8-card SR tier (084–091) is where Clay Burst’s ex Pokemon get their first secret-rarity printing, plus one Trainer Supporter card — the SR debut of Iono:

No. JP Name Rarity
084 フォレトスex SR
085 イーユイex SR
086 ハラバリーex SR
087 デカヌチャンex SR
088 ディンルーex SR
089 オンバーンex SR
090 サワロ SR
091 ナンジャモ SR

Two cards in this tier carry the set’s headline names. Ting-Lu ex (ディンルーex, 088/071) is the first of four Ting-Lu ex printings in the set — more on that below. Iono (ナンジャモ, 091/071) is the SR printing of the Trainer character whose Special Art Rare, one tier up, became Clay Burst’s defining chase card. Iono also has a base-set Uncommon printing at 069/071, meaning the character appears at three separate rarities across this one set.

Iono SR 091/071 Clay Burst SV2D
Iono (ナンジャモ), SR 091/071 — the tier below the set’s headline SAR

Special Art Rare Tier: The Iono Chase

The 5-card SAR tier (092–096) is the narrowest secret tier in the set, and it’s where Clay Burst’s most-cited chase card sits at the very top of the numbering:

No. JP Name Rarity
092 イーユイex SAR
093 デカヌチャンex SAR
094 ディンルーex SAR
095 サワロ SAR
096 ナンジャモ SAR

Only three of the eight SR-tier cards get promoted to SAR — Chi-Yu ex (イーユイex), Tinkaton ex (デカヌチャンex), and Ting-Lu ex (ディンルーex) — alongside the Saguaro (サワロ) and Iono (ナンジャモ) Trainer cards, which follow the exact same base–SR–SAR numbering pattern as each other (068/090/095 for Saguaro, 069/091/096 for Iono, one card apart at every tier). Card 096, Iono SAR, closes out the tier — and it’s the card most directly credited with Clay Burst’s day-one sellout. See the full breakdown below.

Ultra Rare Tier: 3 Cards

The UR tier is the smallest and highest in Clay Burst’s rarity hierarchy — three cards, 097–099 — and it closes the set with a fourth Ting-Lu ex printing plus two Trainer/Energy cards:

No. JP Name Rarity
097 ディンルーex UR
098 スーパーエネルギー回収 UR
099 基本草エネルギー UR

098 (スーパーエネルギー回収, Superior Energy Retrieval) and 099 (基本草エネルギー, Basic Grass Energy) are the standard English print names for these card types — a Trainer item and a basic Energy card, both elevated to the set’s top rarity, the same pattern seen in other Scarlet & Violet-era UR tiers. Ting-Lu ex UR (097/071) is the fourth and final Ting-Lu ex printing in the set; see the next section for the full breakdown across all four.

The Iono SAR: Two Sets, Two Different Cards

Clay Burst’s Iono SAR, card 096/071, is widely cited in secondary-market listings and pull-rate coverage as the single card that drove the set’s April 2023 shortages. Both TCGPlayer’s product catalog and PriceCharting list this exact printing by its full number, and PokeBeach’s reporting on the shortage names Iono as the cause of the sellout and the Pokemon Company’s subsequent corrective action.

Don’t Confuse the Two Iono SARs

Clay Burst’s Iono SAR is SV2D 096/071. A separate Iono SAR exists in SV4a Shiny Treasure ex at 350/190 — a different card, different set, different artwork. The SV2D 096/071 printing is the one credited with driving Clay Burst’s day-one sellout; the two are not interchangeable when you’re checking a listing or a checklist.

Iono also appears at base Uncommon (069/071) and SR (091/071) within Clay Burst itself — see the SR tier table above — making the character a three-rarity pull inside this one set, on top of the separate SV4a printing entirely.

Secondary Chase: Ting-Lu ex Across Four Rarities

Iono isn’t the only card printed repeatedly in Clay Burst. Ting-Lu ex (ディンルーex), one of the four Treasures of Ruin legendary Pokemon, is printed across four separate rarities in this set — base RR through the top of the secret tier:

No. Printing Rarity Tier
049/071 Ting-Lu ex RR Base set
088/071 Ting-Lu ex SR Secret tier
094/071 Ting-Lu ex SAR Secret tier
097/071 Ting-Lu ex UR Secret tier

Ting-Lu ex is the axis character that anchors Clay Burst’s own dual-set pairing — Snow Hazard, its same-day sister set, is built around Chien-Pao ex and Grusha instead. Between Iono’s two secret-tier printings and Ting-Lu ex’s three, these two cards account for 5 of the set’s 28 secret-tier slots (plus a base printing each), which is a large share of why both get singled out in checklist coverage over the rest of the AR/SR tier.

Base Set Highlights: No Water or Metal Types

Clay Burst’s base checklist (001–071) leaves out two entire types — there are no Water-type or Metal-type Pokemon anywhere in the set, since both went to sister set Snow Hazard instead. What Clay Burst does carry is a Fire/Ghost-type evolution finisher in Ceruledge, a run of Rock and Ground-type Pokemon, and the base-rarity printings that sit underneath the AR/SR/SAR/UR secrets covered above:

Ceruledge 031/071 Rare Clay Burst SV2D

Ceruledge, 031/071, Rare

Raichu 018/071 Uncommon Clay Burst SV2D

Raichu, 018/071, Uncommon

Jigglypuff 026/071 Common Clay Burst SV2D

Jigglypuff, 026/071, Common

Tyranitar 052/071 Rare Clay Burst SV2D

Tyranitar, 052/071, Rare

Note the pattern: both Raichu (018/071 base → 074/071 AR) and Tyranitar (052/071 base → 079/071 AR) get a second printing in the AR tier covered earlier — the same species appearing at both a base rarity and an AR secret rarity within the same set.

Sellout, Made-to-Order Boxes & Restocks

Clay Burst has the richest documented reprint history of any set we cover from this era, driven directly by the Iono SAR pull described above.

April 2023 — day-one sellout and corrective action. Clay Burst sold out across Japan on its release day. Creatures Inc. subsequently announced that Pokemon TCG products were out of stock nationwide, apologized, promised stronger production going forward, and announced made-to-order Clay Burst booster boxes, per PokeBeach’s reporting on the shortage.

Aug–Oct 2023 — made-to-order reprint wave. Per PokeBeach’s reporting, the made-to-order boxes were distributed through Pokemon Center’s online ordering system across this window.

Aug–Sep 2024 — second restock. A further Clay Burst and Snow Hazard restock was confirmed in Japan, announced in July 2024 per SNKRDUNK’s reporting, with product becoming available in-market during August and September 2024.

More than three years and two reprint waves after its original release, Clay Burst still isn’t sitting anywhere near its original MSRP on the secondary market — see the box economics section below for current pricing.

Box Economics: MSRP vs Current Listing

Clay Burst’s official per-pack price is ¥180 (~$1), with 5 cards per pack and 30 packs per sealed box — putting box MSRP at approximately ¥5,400 (~$37).

A related same-day release, the Snow Hazard & Clay Burst Pokemon Center Gym Set, launched at an official MSRP of ¥12,800 (~$87, tax included). We currently list a copy at ¥25,200 (~$158) (update: currently sold out — restock requests via Quick Order); for mixed orders across sets, our Quick Order page is the fastest route.

At roughly double MSRP, a sealed box gives you a shot at the full 99-card checklist — the AR/SR/SAR/UR secrets covered above, the base-set Water-and-Metal-free lineup, and every printing of Iono and Ting-Lu ex — through two reprint waves and three-plus years of sustained secondary-market demand.

The English Counterpart: Paldea Evolved

Clay Burst’s English-language counterpart is Paldea Evolved, released June 9, 2023 — about two months after the Japanese release. Paldea Evolved combines cards from three Japanese sets — Triplet Beat, Snow Hazard, and Clay Burst — into a single 279-card English set, versus 198 combined JP-listed cards across the Snow Hazard/Clay Burst pairing alone.

Because the Japanese release comes first and the English set folds three JP sets into one, the exact 71-base/28-secret Clay Burst checklist covered on this page doesn’t map one-to-one onto Paldea Evolved’s numbering. Collectors chasing the specific SV2D print of Iono or Ting-Lu ex — rather than the character in general — need the Japanese set, not the English one.
